Kittenz 4,281 Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) I like Mirai Nikki and I like yuno & yuki I like the Dangan Ronpa anime even after seeing the game I like Vampire Knight, even though I usually hate anything to do with vampires, because of the thing nobody must speak of again ruined them.... I think what Homura did in rebellion was justified My signature pretty much says all of this already lmao Edited August 19, 2014 by KittensOnFire
Anonn0000 3,525 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) My unpopular opinion......is magical girl anime is awesome. Yet i'm sure its not too popular around this forum at least. Oh and I think Ash isn't such a bad character Though i don't like pokemon much at the moment since a tramatic game mistake i made, i hope i get over it... littleTSUBAME 483 Posted April 27, 2015 Bringing this old thread back to life ^^ -I actually like moe every now and then, it doesn't annoy me. -Although I like Cowboy Bebop, it's not worth all the praise in my opinion. Sure, the soundtrack is good and the animation is awesome, but the story's really not that great, and it's pretty poorly paced (but the characters are interesting). -Even though it has many, many flaws, I still really like Noir. Maybe it's the music? -Tokyo Ghoul wasn't worth the hype it got (haven't read the manga though, and people say it's better, so...) -End of Evangelion is a good movie and all, but the series' ending is still superior, even with budget issues and all. Also, the rebuilds aren't really that good (not really and unpopular opinion though...)
Firaga 5,947 Posted April 28, 2015 (edited) (Funny how I haven't technically posted in this thread and yet it keeps showing up in My Content... I guess now is a better time than ever.) DragonBall and Naruto rock. DragonBall Z, in the hands of FUNimation, was not done well in terms of dubbing and scoring. DragonBall Kai is a much better anime than DragonBall Z. Attack On Titan blows. Sword Art Online isn't as bad as most people make it out to be. Kill La Kill is better than Gurren Lagaan. Kill La Kill in general needs more love. Shonen, or "Battle Shonen", in general gets way more crap than it deserves. I prefer English dubs mostly, but I'm open to both dubs and subs. Filler isn't always bad and more people should chill out and give it a chance. Kyouma-Blade 90 Posted April 28, 2015 Parasyte - I didn't mind the electronic soundtrack. Monogatari Series - I'll give Second Season a try, but so far it's been bleh. Angel Beats - Bad. Gosick - Awful in the second half. Log Horizon - Overrated. It's still okay, but not that good. Angel's Egg - Pretentious as firetruck and isn't good. Ouran High School Host Club - Not that funny. I dropped it halfway through. Akame ga Kill - I like how stupid it is, but that's about it. Anohana - Stupid as hell, but damn if I didn't cry at the end. And I probably can't compare the dubs of Kai/DBZ since I haven't seen much of DBZ. But yeah. 1 Firaga reacted to this
Yuya Sakaki 5,212 Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal was a good series. I hate how people judged it based solely on its looks. And I think Yu-Gi-Oh! Stardustblade358 806 Posted May 5, 2015 Round 2 for me: Death Parade - Very good series. Follows the same concept throughout the episodes, but it changes a lot. Whether it can be considered repetitive or not depends on the person. Bacanno! - Underrated yet at the same time overrated? It definitely sets itself apart by its setting and time period, as I considered it unusual and unique from most other series. Samurai 7 - Great series. Not predictable and unique story of its own. 5/5. Tiger & Bunny - Underrated series. Though it's not for everyone, the series and the movies are worth a shot at. Wakfu: The Animated Series - IT IS SO UNDERRATED~ It's not for everyone but damn it is a great series. Tokyo Ghoul - Way overrated. Though it is great, the animated series doesn't do justice for the manga. IS Infinite Stratos - Pretty good series, however it became a bit repetitive and predictable (at least for me). Not a series for everyone. Mononoke - Not for everyone. Whether considered repetitive depends on the person. Has the most unique art style I have ever seen for a series (since Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo ). Mushishi - If you liked Mononoke, you'll like this one. Again, it can be repetitive depending on the person.
Firaga 5,947 Posted May 6, 2015 DragonBall: The Path To Power is a terrible movie that fails to capture the DragonBall spirit. "DragonBall Chou" is a better title than "DragonBall Super". Naruto, as in the entire series, needs an OVA remake after the anime is finished. Part I and II of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure were good, but not that good. Part III of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is when the entire series gets really really good. Ninja Slayer is hilarious and awesome despite its animation style and actually helps it in that aspect as well. Seraph Of The End's characters and concepts remind me way too much of Blue Exorcist (lol) Blue Exorcist's anime is lackluster compared to its manga. Deadman Wonderland's anime could have been done a lot better if it followed the manga more strictly.
Reyn 1,755 Posted May 6, 2015 * I think Aincrad from SAOI is overrated and Kirito could've had a bit more noticable character development. I prefer Fairy Dance minus the final battle being a bit lackluster IMO. * AOT is overrated IMO and i dislike it. * Kill La Kill is underrated. * As much as i love Dragon Ball, i felt the Buu Saga was lackluster compared to everything that came before it and that Toriyama was running out of ideas and pulling crap out of his ass at that point. * As much as i like Naruto, i feel after Pain, the series as a whole dropped somewhat in quality. I still like the series, but only few parts of the manga after that managed to impress me like everything up to and including Pain like the Confining the Jinchuuriki arc and 5 Kage Summit. Also, the ending also felt akin to DBZ in that Kishimoto started running out of ideas and pulling random crap out of nowhere, plus i think Sasuke and Naruto's final powerups were dumb since they literally didn't work for them at all. Plus, the last few arcs basically shit on one of the original theme of the series with the New Generation surpassing the Old, given how literally only Naruto and Sasuke came anywhere close to the level of power of the generations before them out of the Konoha 12 (barring maybe Lee whenever he gets 7th and 8th gates). Lastly, the ending felt a bit rushed, Kishimoto could've used a few more issues to fully wrap up the series IMO. 1 Aqua7KH reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted May 7, 2015 The Fairy Dance Arc in the SAO anime is my favorite arc. The Aincraid Arc, and the general consensus that it marks upon SAO as a whole, is not all that great. The Buu Saga in DragonBall is when the series started being fun again. The Hidden Leaf Eleven, plus Sai, in Naruto are leagues above their powers and capabilities then they were in the beginning of the series. Saying they're not as stronger as Naruto and Sasuke isn't fair because they're Naruto and Sasuke who are always ten steps ahead of everybody (barring maybe Sakura, because her usage of the Byakugo sort of puts her above the others.) In general, the idea that the tail end of Naruto become DragonBall-esque in terms of combat is baffling, as strategy has always been a constant in Naruto combat, even into the later chapters where the power scales rises to extreme levels. 1 Reyn reacted to this
Reyn 1,755 Posted May 7, 2015 * I liked the comedy and awesome battles and new ideas that Buu introduced to the series, but something about it felt off to me, the plot towards the end after Gohan unlocked his Kai Power Up started to feel like it was going off the ridiculous and crazy end, even for Dragon Ball, albeit i did like how the epilogue was done. Gohan's change in goals in this arc was one thing that felt off about the arc to me IMO (although i can live with it), as well as every Z-Fighter minus the saiyans/saiyan hybrids officially being shafted in terms of fighting the main threat and giving up training. * Strategy has always been constant, and i won't say the tactics Naruto and Sasuke used to officially put down Kaguya weren't there, because they were and were pretty well done, but in terms of the ridiculous power ups they got and being approached by THE official God of Shinobi (After Kaguya) out of nowhere, that seemed pretty Dragon Ball esque IMO. The Final Battle with Sasuke and Naruto i can ease up upon though due to it being a battle of evenly matched Shinobi Gods at that point and them being rivals for years. *I'm not saying that everyone else hasn't improved miles in terms of power since the beginning, they have gotten stronger and proven themselves, but my point still stands that they still haven't been able to surpass their predeccessors in terms of power as was one of the original Themes of Naruto. Even Naruto and Sasuke by the end barely start surpassing that threshold, and still aren't on par with Kaguya (not that i mind that all that much, since she was THE goddess of the world basically). Shulk 8,623 Posted May 7, 2015 If we're all going to talk about SAO arc comparisons, I'll give my own thoughts (and some other stuff I decided to add in): Mother's Rosario was my favorite arc in SAO. Not for the action, but the story. SAO2 in general felt better than SAO1 to me. Obito was a great villain in Naruto, and was probably even my favorite character. His whole arc as a villain and the eventual outcome is probably my favorite part of the entire series. Akame Ga Kill's anime was amazing. And by that, I don't just mean the start, but all of it. The filler ending was just as good as the rest of the show, and with the exception of one death, I felt that it was all handled very well. The Buu Saga is my second favorite saga in Dragon Ball Z. I loved how fun it was, it introduced one of my favorite characters, and I also thought it was a really good ending to the series. 2 Firaga and Reyn reacted to this
PieLuvah 317 Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) Clannad bores me.Tokyo Ghouls anime is disappointing go with the manga. (why the heck did I watch the anime first? ;- SAO season 1 was okay at first but it jumped off a cliff and died after that. Harem annoys me. but hey fanservice I like both subs and dubs. Firaga 5,947 Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) (This is going to turn into the "Firaga and Spider Argue About Unpopular Anime Opinions", isn't it? ) The ending of the Buu Saga at least took things in an interesting/new direction but not only having Goku's Spirit Bomb take energy from the ENTIRE universe but having a comedic/actually endearing human character in Mr. Satan help take charge in the matter. I've never cared for Gohan as a main character so I don't really care about his role in the Buu Saga. Krillin and Piccolo at least still got to fight/do important in the Buu Saga and freaking Krillin got to fight Kid Buu of all people (its filler but shut up. lol) Yamcha and Tien aren't in the same category because they lost relevance ages ago at that point. Naruto and Sasuke being given the power of the Sage makes sense in hindsight when you realize that other events like Black Zetsu and Kaguya are stirring up in the future. The point isn't that every single member of the new generation can blow stuff up better than the old generation. All of the Hidden Leaf Eleven plus Sai matured and grew stronger by the end to a point where they become great tacticians/soldiers and had potential to become even greater once they became old as shit just like Hashirama and the others, because a) they're still teenagers and b) Hashirama and the others didn't hit their OP stride until adulthood. lol And again, Naruto and Sasuke are exceptions because screw you, that's why. lol PieLuvah, on 06 May 2015 - 10:29 PM, said: SAO was okay at first but it jumped off a cliff and died after that. Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted May 7, 2015 It annoys me to the brink of death in how Attack on Titan is everywhere. I went to Toys R Us and found a freaking AoT poster there! I didn't like it all, and I'm just aggravated on how everyone hammers it down my throat and I can't even talk to a regular person at school without him/her bringing it up. There's this guy I know who hates anime but loves AoT. Now I get anxiety at the mere mention of it, and it kinda ruined anime for me tbh. I still like anime, but now I'm just I dunno because of AoT. I miss 2012 AoT is literally the Frozen of anime if not way worse. (I have to admit I love Frozen though) Sorry for people who love that anime, but I hope you can understand why I'm so like frustrated over it. 4 Reyn, PieLuvah, OmegaForte and 1 other reacted to this

Saber Lily 1,543 Posted May 7, 2015 I actuallyed liked SAO's Second Arc Kill LA Kill is way more then fanservice, and it is one of my favorite anime. I hate subs. I barely was able to survive the Girls Und Panzer sub, and thank god for the Dub being a thing. Aniplex of America sucks. They take a godawful amount of time to even announce a dub. Fate/Stay Night sucked. Fate/Zero and the movie Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works were far superior. Hope the UBW show is just as good. Yuri is love. Yuri is life.
