So pretty much a lot of people have their opinions on marvel and star wars in Kingdom Hearts along with other stuff but I'm wondering if anyone thinks the series should travel outside of Square and Disney. Personally I'm against it but I find it interesting to know what others think about what could be added to the series.

No, it's a Square (FF) and Disney conglomerate, going outside it just means it isn't a KH game.  Though people who don't like Star Wars and Marvel have to realize that by the same logic (of which I see too) that it's not a Disney movie just 'cause Disney bought the rights, a lot of Pixar movies aren't made by Disney and are just published and marketed by them.  Since Nomura likes Star Wars, even though I don't want it in KH, I've come to the conclusion that I will eventually see it in the series regardless of how badly I think it fits.  Same with Marvel but I think Marvel has a better chance of working (not in terms of a world 'cause I don't want Modern day New York since that's where near all Superhero movies are), but summons and items for Donald (Thor's Hammer) and Goofy (Captain America's Shield) seem interesting to me.

As much as I want to say yes so that I can cut some slack towards the people that want Star Wars and Marvel in Kingdom Hearts... n-no. Just no. I'm sorry, but no.

I think Kingdom Hearts should remain the Square Enix/Disney crossover that it always has been. TWEWY was cool and fine since it is Square Enix (more precisely, Nomura's) property and it fitted pretty much good in 3D (considering TWEWY is full of curse words and other non-Kingdom Hearts style stuff). The only way I see to make Star Wars/Marvel fit in Kingdom Hearts, is by using them as small cameos in items, mini games or in easter eggs like pictures on a poster and stuff like that.

I wouldn't mind to see Sora in worlds other then Disney's,as long as SQUARE find a way to fit Sora and the gang in that world,I don't see anything wrong with it.In KH3D,they decided to go beyond Final Fantasy by including The World End With You characters,I though it was a bit odd at first, but they fit pretty well,so I'm sure they'd be able to incorporate characters from other franchises pretty well.

But I also don't mind if they only stick with Disney and Final Fantasy(SQUARE),there are so many Disney movies and FF characters,I don't think they could ever run out of ideas and Kingdom Hearts is known to be a Disney X Final Fantasy game,so it would be a bit strange to go with other franchises, but again, I wouldn't mind.

The thing with crossovers is that you have to consider how everything meshes.  I'm not even talking about just Marvel or whatever, but in general.  It's easier to mesh things when you're focusing on only a few things, in this case, Disney and Final Fantasy.  The more elements you add--often with their own completely different setting and tone--the harder it is to make everything fit.  Spread things too far and there will be a lot less substance.  There's also the legal clusterfiretruck of gaining the rights of all those different franchises to appear in a single game.

I personally think that it would not work.  Disney and Square are what made Kingdom Hearts special, and if you come and add things just for adding them, it'll take away the charm the series has.  I'm sure Nomura will find a way to implement Marvel and Star Wars in a way that doesn't change the Disney/Square image the series has had for the past couple of years.  I for one think it should stay the way it is.  And with a lot of other Disney films Square hasn't touched upon, including the Pixar films, I know there's still much ground to tread concerning Disney properties in the series. :)

I couldn't really imagine a non-Disney or non-FF crossover in Kingdom Hearts (considering the fact that it IS  a Square and Disney team up, after all.)

I don't understand you guys' being so negative about the idea. Pirates wasn't a Disney like world and it's a fan favorite. Not to mention a lot of the themes of star wars and kingdom hearts go together well. Plus it's firetrucking star wars.

They weren't "Disney-like" but they are owned by Disney, so technically that makes them a Disney product. I think they are talking about putting non-Disney owned franchises into the game.
