why did the change the name to organization 13 in america?

Just a process of localization, 13th Order does sound cool but I personally prefer Organization 13 (that's what we got in all English releases), they could have also just mistranslated and it stuck.

It's always called Organization XIII officially, even in the Japanese versions... KH2 Ultimania, for example. 機関 is typically translated as "organisation" or something along that line (ie. a formalised group of people working together for a common goal). Gets the point across better. I guess "order" is from Deep Dive or something? Because it doesn't roll off the tongue well.

Actually, Japanese terms tend to be weird and unsmooth if we translate them literally. This case is an example, since Organization XIII is way cooler than XIII Order

Right 13th order could have been confusing! Plus Japanese doesn't always translate to English in the right order. So to them it probably is also Organization 13.
