Exiblade7 1,917 Posted July 29, 2014 (edited) Is it possible for a zelda game to be realistic, but not dark like Twilight Princess is because I love realism in the Zelda series and I would love it if nintendo could game like it? MasterXemnas 2,285 Posted July 29, 2014 Fool. Yes, but that's dumb.
Master Juan 574 Posted July 29, 2014 It'd be very hard to pull it off, but a more realistic style simply coordinates better with a darker atmosphere. We won't see this style for a while because Zelda Wii U does not have super-realistic graphics, like the Wii U tech demo had. So this game probably won't exist until 2017-2019. Dammit. 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this

I have always been waiting for another realistic zelda game right after Twilight Princess came out, but there has been no signs of it since sadly. I'm glad that zelda u doesn't look 100% cartoony like the wind waker did.
PikachukeybladeMaster 40 Posted July 29, 2014 I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, but what would be the motivation? The tone of the game dictates the visual design, not the other way around. A more light and happy game lends itself to a lighter and happier designs. A darker game lends itself to a dark, grittier, possibly more 'realistic' appearance. 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this
Shulk 8,623 Posted July 29, 2014 I suppose it's possible, although I'd personally prefer the more unique styles, like those in Wind Waker and Zelda U. I'm not a big fan of realistic art styles, and a cartoon style fits Zelda really well. 1 Hero of Winds reacted to this
Sorual 607 Posted July 29, 2014 i like the animated look of wind waker the best in zelda.
Cucco 1,907 Posted July 29, 2014 I don't think it would work well for a game like zelda, I love unique art styles
Exiblade7 1,917 Posted July 29, 2014 Well at least Zelda U looks somewhat realistic. (All of the body parts are the same length and Link doesn't have a big head in zelda) that's what made my like the art style because they used the wind waker's art style sightly and I like sight cartoon art styles with the blend of realistic styles. Keyblade Master Xoncron 499 Posted July 29, 2014 Of course it's possible, however the likelyness of such a thing happening is currently unknown.
