No fandom is perfect. There are always those people. There are always characteristics of a fandom that make you have a love/hate relationship with it. There are those things. So, what we're gonna do today is talk about things we hate in this fandom. I'll start.

 

I hate how there is a large section of the fandom who hasn't even played any of the KH games, or even touched a video game in general, yet they act like they know what they are talking about when it comes to the story and characters.

 

I also hate how savage and selfish it can be at times. coughcoughpincoughcough

• All the shippers annoy me. Sokai, Soriku, Akuroku, Roxmine, Akuion, Xemqua, Terraqua, Terrentus, Aqutus, Eranort, Ansenort, Soranitas, etc...
• People who think the mangas are canon
• Yaoi people- I can't even go through the Sora, Riku, Vanitas tag on tumblr without seeing some porn
• Those fans who flat out ignore the recent titles and get mad when the main game comes out.
• Those fans who hate FFXIII and bring the hate to KH- go to gamefaqs and you will see that.
• Character haters who just attack everyone- esp. of the Kairi and Sora variety
• Trolls

Oh. The thing I hate the most are those people who continue to hate on Frozen being in Kingdom Hearts. They just need to let it go.

And just what's so wrong about #Squarebefair anyway? I think it's a perfectly logical and reasonable response to that...ATROCITY of a preorder "upgrade". I mean seriously, a PIN!? You give everyone in Japan a bundle with both games, a bluray soundtrack, AND a playarts Limit Form figure, and you expect us to settle for one lousy pin and nothing else!? It's not the pin I hate, that would actually be a nice thing for those who do the Disney pin collecting thing. What I DO hate is that it's the only thing that we get in addition to the game and they don't even acknowledge the idea of an artbook or not. I mean COME ON!   Sigh, rant-mode off. 

I guess the only thing I do hate, and this applies for most of my other fandoms, is when there is a "fan" who either bashes every bit of KH material they come across or shames anyone who actually likes anything as being a mindless tool that just buys anything with the title name attached to it. Also, I hate it when someone has a very strong opinion and they won't even accept the fact that it's an opinion and other people think differently. This site isn't the worst site I've come across, though lately I have come across a few annoyances. Still, it's not as frustrating as TSSZ News. The only other thing I can think of that dislike is that when you think you've FINALLY got somebody figured out, be it a fan, user, or mod, and then suddenly they say or do something that contradicts what you thought about them, usually in a negative manner. It's more of a personal peeve though, as really you can't fully understand anyone and it's foolish to think that you have somebody figured out, especially on a website. Still, it does bug me and I'm only human, so it's something I've come across more often than not. Oh, and just out of personal taste, I don't really care for most of the shippers. I don't mind things like Sora/Kairi and Roxas/Namine, but for the love of pete, I can't believe how many Roxas/Axel and Sora/Riku shippers I've come across in my time in the fandom. I'm not against same sex relationships and if there's a series where that is canon, all the better. But when it's not canon and there's clearly a platonic relationship, I'm sorry, but it just really get's on my nerves. But I don't prefer to call anyone out on it, it's a pretty typical fan thing to do and everybody has different tastes, so I respect that freedom to see and express the idea of pairing anyone you want together. Just don't expect me to join an Auku-roku club anytime soon. Sorry if I offended anyone, that's never my intent. I've got my tastes, and you've got yours. But we're all still fans, right?

It's not going to end Kingdom Hearts and I'm not whinny for siding with them. And it's not the pin that bothers me, what bothers me is we don't get the same options Japan does. And we just want to let Square know we want them. Also another small thing that sorta bothers me is waiting for the next game. Sometimes it seems like torture! Like the wait for Kingdom Hearts 3D was endless!But the thing that probably takes the cake is when your "friends" make fun of you for playing a "baby game" (because they think Disney is for babies and that if you like Disney or play a Disney game you are a dumb, wussy, baby!) and they say "Kingdom Hearts isn't a real game" because it's Disney and games like Halo and Mario are! Well at least Kingdom Hearts doesn't have the same story over and over again, and your not only shooting at people! Plus I hate it when they assume it can't be intense cuz it's Disney and stuff! Those people just drive me crazy! There I'm done ranting

Wait, they say that Disney is baby, but Mario/Nintendo isn't? That's like saying dirt is filthy but soil is pure. They're practically the same thing!

Well I guess they never really have said anything about Mario, or called me a baby. I was just listing games and ranting. But they have compared it to be a baby game to other games like Skyrim, League of Legends, and other games, and have constantly made fun of the series. They've even called it the baby version of final fantasy! Yet they've never played a Kingdom Hearts game in their life! It really annoys me. Just because their games are rated T or M, and mine is E+10 and has Disney, doesn't have anything to do with how good the game is!

Oh my goodness, I HATE this, especially the cutscene part. There's a gamer guy that I used to enjoy  watching, but I had to stop because he would talk through the cutscenes/ignore the dialogue and then say that he didn't understand what was going on. To me, the plot/story of a game is the best part!

Oh god, I will never understand League of Legends players....heck, I'll never understand League of Legends. Skyrim might be fun, but I've never had the time or money to play it. Point being, some people have really terrible senses of judgement if they judge a game's quality based on it's rating. The rating is just the minimum age recommended for the player, E really is FOR EVERYONE. People need to get that through their thick skulls.

I don't honestly hate any part of the fandom per se. I mean, some people sure annoy me, but people have different styles of ''being a fan'', so I don't mind.

But I do wish is that some people in the fandom would respect other people's opinions a little bit more, especially when it comes to shipping. But I guess that's the problem in every fandom out there. : P

I understand now easy it is to screw up with KH's story since it's complicated and all, but i HATE IT when noobs go out and say that every single misinterpretation they've made is canon. It's like they're asking me to come up to them and say they're stupid.

 

Another thing i hate is the shipping side of KH. Sure, i ship Rokushi pretty hard, but i don't shove it down people's throats. I used to do so, but now i'm more accepting. Most of the ships are tolerable, but in truth since most of the shippers in KH are yaoi shippers (about half of the fics in KH's archive in Fanfiction.net are yaoi fics.) I get a lot of "AKUROKU" shoved down my throat. I'm not bashing Homosexual relationships and all, but i hate it when someone says, "I hate Xion." I then ask why, and then they reply "because she ruins AkuRoku." Since shippings aren't canon in any way, when people say that to  me i get really agitated. To hate a character for a non canon reason is pretty insignificant.

I don't usually care if people ship stuff, but when I see people ship things like Ventus and Roxas, Sora and Vanitas, I get a little annoyed. Just a lil bit. 

 

People who completely misinterpret a character really piss me off too, especially when they're just now coming into the series.

 

The people who complain that the series doesn't make sense when they've only played 1 and 2. I can accept that if they don't want to buy all of the spinoffs, but the HD collections are coming out, so they really don't have an excuse. My cousin is an example of this and I bet you money that by the time KHIII comes out and he gets it, he's gonna complain some more that it doesn't make any sense.

 

People who complain that Sora wields a key when 'wielding a sword would be so much cooler'. 

 

But the people who piss me off the most are those that say that if the series lacked the Disney element, that it would be better because it'd be 'darker and edgier'. Because it'd feel more like Final Fantasy and not Disney, which is totally lame, obviously. Who wants to have fun with Winnie the firetrucking bear when we could just sword-fight with Sephiroth all of the time? In fact, Cloud and Leon should be the party members instead of Goofy and Donald. firetruck those guys!
