Beware The Frozen Heart

"Mom!" shouted Mary. As she was taking her coat and boots off, her mom came running at her from the kitchen.  

"So, what did they tell you? "

"To the Silver Forest"

Her mother had a disappointed look on her face. "Are you going to take long?"  said her mother.

Mary chuckled a bit. "Maybe. But you got Erin here with you, so you won't be alone I promise."  After a couple of hours, Mary left off.

As she was reaching the outsides of Arendelle, she started to remember some stuff that happened a while ago. Her dad knew how to hunt

and that was the only way that they were able to eat. But all of that stopped for a couple of months after her dad's death. But before he 

passed away, he taught Mary how to hunt and how to use a bow and arrow. So she has been doing the hunting for the last 2 years. But 

when she heard about this quest, she knew that this may be a great opportunity to gain some money and be able to feed her mom and younger sister. And before she knew it she had already reached the Silver Forest. She continued forward. "Snow", she whispers. Mary loved snow. It always seemed like something pure to her. Her train of thought stops all of a sudden. Then she hears something. She heard a branch break. She got her bow and took an arrow and aimed to were she heard the noise. 

"Who's there?"

Lind crawled himself out of the mount of snow he had found himself trapped in. He couldn't feel his nose or ears. He got his hands over his nose and mouth and started to hiss hot breath into his hands,rubbing them and getting them over his face so he could at least feel something out of this infernal cold that most likely was trying to freeze him to death. He couldn't even find the energy within them to sing his way to the destination,how he usually did. He sung every time he went out. He never really had thrown himself into a musical where everyone else just happened to dance along,know the coreography and lyrics along with him. But he sung to pass the time and it was enough to give him a moments or two. But in this cold he could barely make out the words as his teeth crackled against each other. Singing loudly would most likely make him sick again. But strangely enough,the forest was rather calm and quiet besides nature doing its thing to it,birds chirping and animals hybernating and all. Even in the cold he disliked,he looked stunning walking in the snow with his military like uniform,his hat only making him look almost as if he had authority. With a gentle gesture he cleared his throat. "Sleeping soundly, I have a dream~ Without noticing the overflowing tears,that are running down my cheeks~"Lind sung. Almost like in a fairy tail random birds started to fly around him,much to his dismay,as he waved his hand trying to shoo them off,only to have one of the birds land on his gloved hand gently. It was puffy and yellow. He got it closer to him. "I've hidden the heartrending throbs,that are in this chest~"Lind sang.

He started out from the creaking gates with a smile: Her Majesty had detailed the quest, but Attitcus had only heard " Silver Forest" and " Northern Mountain". 

He hefted his bag on his shoulder, and Pet made a grunting noise. 

Pet was a odd little creature, made of snow: whether Her Majesty had created him during the Frozen incident, or whether he was a self formed being, was unknown, but Atticus considered Pet his only friend. 

He shivered: Jack Frost was certainly doing his job well...or was it the Queen? She still had her powers..maybe she was creating Winter to keep them honed in. 

At least it was actually Winter this time, he thought, as he stopped to rest with Pet, eating a little of the food he'd brought.

His instructions were to meet up with the others at the Silver Forest, and head up the Northern Mountain,. but it would be another days walking before he got there. 

He sighed, got wearily to his fit, and trudged off, singing about nothing in particular as birds flitted through the snow laden branches, and Pet tried to eat a pinecone.

Calder had his horse take it slow into the forest, the snow was getting deeper making it easier for tripping, or other injuries he didn't have time for. He enjoyed the quiet that winter brought to the forest and admired the few birds hardy enough to weather the winter. He let go of his reins to rub his numbing hands together. He was starting to regret leaving behind his thicker gloves in favor of his shooting gloves. From somewhere up ahead he heard trampling. He leaned forward on his horse straining his ears to find the source of the sound when Calder's horse bucked slightly as another horse ran by at full speed.

"What on earth..?" He looked back at the fleeing animal then forward.

"Where is the rider?" Calder urged his horse on  to find a girl standing in the snow. "Hey are you ok?" He hopped from his horse, "I'm Calder by the way."

Mary sighted, "It's just a deer, no big deal."  She kept going. She started to regret not bringing her gloves. "That was stupid of me." she thought. She rubbed her hands together to try to keep them warm. And as she was going on, she started to look around and started to remember. She remembered how she and her family would sometimes play in the snow. "Yeah...those were the good times." she whispered. Now all of that is gone. Her mom, is never happy or merry all the time. And her younger sister, Erin, doesn't talk at all ever since their dad's death. But at least she had been growing closer to her mom.

 

Mary was freezing. Her coat just wasn't enough. As she kept on walking, she wondered who the others were. They had told her that she was going to meet those who were also chosen for this quest, here in the Silver Forest. But she hadn't encountered any of them yet. 

 

She started to walk a bit slower and looked around, "I wonder where they are. Oh well, I'll meet them soon, I hope."  Mary kept going.

Climbing into a oak, he knotched an arrow, and waited. Movement caught his eye, and he fired, hitting the ground next to...a girl?

She looked cold...

" Hey you!" He cried.

"Hello Mother!" Shiroi said.

"Oh hey White, how was your day?" His mom said.

Shiroi had just came back from looking at the town. His journey was long, but he had every bit of fun.

"Hey, I told you to not call me that," he said. "It was good anyways."

"Oh, ok," his mother said. "Whitey." his mother continued with a tease

"HEY!" Shiroi said with a mad looked.

His mother then laughed.

"I'm going back," he said.

"Well, be safe, I don't want anyone hurting my one and only son," his mother said with a smile.

Shiroi then closed the door, and left. He started to look at the scenery again, and this time went closer to the forest. The snow covered forest looked beautiful to him, and he had began to explore it even more. He was, made him happy inside...

 Watching her horse run off like there's no tomorrow, Ahri couldn't help but kick a random patch of snow like a stubborn kid. "Now what?!" She didn't feel like walking all the way to the Silver Forest, it could put her in danger for wolves or other dangerous animals. As if her prayers were answered, Ahri heard the sound of hooves and she looked up to see a man in his early 20's approaching her with his horse. When he asked if she was ok and introduced himself, Ahri couldn't help but go red in embarassement. 'Oh god, he must think I'm some stupid teenage girl who can't control a horse.' That thought bothered her as she brushed off several snow off her coat. "I'm fine!" Ahri quickly replied. "I rarely ride horses so um, I'm not use to riding them." She scratched her head as she chuckled. "Oh and I'm Ahri, sorry if I was in your path."

Lind kept singing,a small smile upon his face as he gently walked across the snow. How he adored singing. It was one of those things that regardless of anything that happened to him,it would always be part of him. His voice almost seemed to echo across the snowy land of the forest. "On nights I can't sleep,I can hear the rain make a melody~Lets slowly go take a look into the future on our ship in the clouds~ A bridge,in the dark starry sky! They say a rainbow appears in nights like this! A dear night rainbow~"Lind sang. He suddenly stopped. He slowly turned around. Not only birds. But a few moose,and other non-hybernating animals were standing right behind him. "...what you looking at? I ain't Snow White. Go. SHOO! GET OUT OF HERE!"Lind yelled as he started to shoo off the animals that had been attracted to his song. "Stupid animals."He muttered under his breath. The fluffy bird had yet to leave however. "I told you to shoo off."Lind hissed. But the bird simply blinked at him. He sighed. "Well I guess if you're staying you have to stay warm."Lind muttered,getting the bird on his scarf. The bird curled within the scarf. "Idiot."Lind hissed as he turned away as he walked across. As he did he saw a horse run pass him,heading back to the nearby town,almost knocking him down. "What the hell?! Who lets their horse run wild?"Lind cursed as he glared at the running horse and glanced over at the direction where it came from. He hurried over and hid behind a tree. Taking a peek,he saw a young lady and a boy on a horse. "Eh?"Lind asked. The forest usually wasn't a place for walks. Due to the animals. "Hey,you two,a forest isn't a place for a date ya know. Wolves guard these lands."Lind said as he struggled to walk over to them due to the thick snow.

She took it off and got back on her feet with the pet in her arms. "I'm here because of Princess Elsa's quest! And I suppose that you are one of the other chosen right?" she cried. She walked slowly towards him. 

Atticus scoffed. " Bah: I don't obey that Queen. " He puffed up his chest. " I'm a hun..woah!"

Falling out of the tree onto his butt really made an impression.
