Rosie 3 Posted July 24, 2010 "'Cause I bet your control is perfect," Jake retorted scathingly, then nearly came close to wanting to eat his words when he saw Emi really did have some amount of control over what she was doing. Glancing around for a split second, he struggled for something to use- and, in the end, shifted his schoolbag in an attempt to use it as a shield against the water-which worked, save for the fact he lost his focus and the bag moved too far, flying up over his head and smacking hard into the ground some metres away. "Oops," he said loudly, glaring at the bag like it was it's fault.
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 25, 2010 Telekinesis... she thought as she found the explanation for what happened in the classroom. Emi moved her whole hand this time to bring out a small sphere of water from the body of water. Flinging her hand, she now shot the sphere directly at Jake. Rosie 3 Posted July 26, 2010 Jake attempted to move the schoolbag again, but was stuck concentrating as hard as he could to no avail. It simply wouldn't move, and he swore loudly as the sphere of water hit him, leaving his hair dripping into his eyes. Wiping the water out of his vision with the back of his hand, he didn't bother to concentrate, just flinging out as much power as he could muster- and knocking Emi back, enough to be able to throw her back into the lake. Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 26, 2010 Crap! Emi thought as she fell backwards into the lake. As she sank about two feet under the water level, she motioned her hands in front of her, forcing a large amount of water to push her back onto the surface. She held her arms outward, looking down at her damp clothing. "Just because I control water," she mumbled, "it doesn't mean I can swim." Moving her hands, all of the water that was soaked into her clothing came out to form into another sphere, charging at Jake.
Rosie 3 Posted July 26, 2010 Head starting to throb, having exerted way too much energy pushing her back into the water, Jake didn't try and move anything- just attempted to get out of the way, dodging sideways and dropping to the ground.
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 26, 2010 I find it almost sad that he's slowing down, Emi thought, especially considering that this is only practice. Despite the fact that she still needs to practice, she would rather see this come to an end. After all, she was still quite tired. "Are we finished yet?" she questioned lazily. Rosie 3 Posted July 26, 2010 Jake sat up and tried to focus and throw her again- but, after a while struggling, simply threw her a scowl- and his middle finger. "I... I'm just... a little rusty... That's all!" he insisted, ruffling his hands through his hair in an attempt to shake the worst of the water out of it, so it might dry off sometime soon. Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 26, 2010 A rude bastard too... Emi remarked in her mind, glaring at him. "Oh," was the only response that she could conjure. She walked back to the tree and sat down, leaning against it. "That's all of the practice that you're getting from me," she said, staring at the lake, "now leave me alone." Rosie 3 Posted September 6, 2010 Jake pushed himself to his feet, swaying uncertainly on the spot for a moment as his head spun- he'd stood up too fast. "Fine. Go back to your moping," he retorted, turning and stalking off. He got a good distance away before he realised his hands were empty, and stomped back to retrieve his bag. Tricia-chan 42 Posted September 7, 2010 Emi sighed as she relaxed her muscles once again. "Finally, some peace and quiet..." She stared at the water for a moment. ... and some sleep, she thought. Before her eyelids had closed, she shot them back open when something small landed on her arm. She stared at her forearm for a moment before realizing that there was a small drop of water on her skin. She examined the sky, noticing the dark clouds that she hadn't taken notice of before. "Great...." she mumbled as she curled up closer to the tree.
