Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 15, 2010 Alright, so this is a one-on-one roleplay between Rosie and myself. No one else. >.> :: My attempt at a plot :'D :: There is a school for the gifted. By that, I mean that they have powers. To graduate, they must excel in their power to their fullest potential. (Um... Scratch that. This is the setting. >.>) My character: Name: Emi Age: 16 Power: Control over water, sometimes ice and the weather. Appearance: She has short, dark-brown hair and a pair of navy blue eyes. She tends to wear the school uniform.
Rosie 3 Posted July 15, 2010 Yaaaaaay~! Name: Jake Age: 16 Power: Telekinesis- moving objects with your mind. I think. xDD /shot Appearence: Blond, messy surf-esque hair that tends to tangle in his face; green eyes; pale. Tends to alter the school uniform as much as he can- wearing hooded tops instead of the school jumper/blazer, vans instead of smart shoes, etc, etc... Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 15, 2010 No, it's when you move stuff with your hand. :'D /shot Emi was sitting in her desk. Ten minutes into class, and she already felt tired. Then again, she didn't get enough sleep the previous night. She was practicing her waterbending powers. More than anything, she wanted to leave this school. Rosie 3 Posted July 15, 2010 "You're late," Jake chorused along with the teacher as he came through the door- well, he had gotten to the point that he could say it with every teacher. In fact, ten minutes after class started was quite early for him. Usually, half an hour was about his average. Slumping into the seat and dumping his bag on the floor, he propped his feet up against the desk and yawned openly, stretching his arms out in front of him and cracking his elbows. It wasn't that he didn't sleep, or he had some horrible walking impediment; Jake just tended not to bother about time. He sometimes missed classes completely, that is, if he wasn't napping through them.
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 15, 2010 Trying to keep her head up so she wouldn't get in trouble, Emi focused on the teacher's coffee. She didn't want it (actually, she found it to be quite foul), but she knew that its components included water. She could still practice. Keeping her focus on it, she began drawing out a small line of coffee from the mug.
Rosie 3 Posted July 15, 2010 Jake glanced around the room for a moment, knowing he was already in the teacher's bad books so there wasn't much point in actively pretending to pay attention. He caught sight of the coffee, and traced it to the source- Emi- pretty quickly, since she was the only one not giving the teacher her full attention. He narrowed his eyes, trying to move the mug itself a few inches off, to confuse her- but it flew right off the desk, and Jake cussed.
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 15, 2010 Emi jumped as the mug flew off the desk. She became extremely confused as to how she did that, or if she did it at all. As the teacher began demanding who broke his beloved mug, Emi sulked in her seat. Not that she had to, since she was metaphorically invisible, but nevertheless. Rosie 3 Posted July 15, 2010 Jake owned up after a few false accusations, believing that saying he was merely innocently practising his powers would keep him out of trouble. It didn't, and once the teacher was done yelling at him, he was outraged to find that he had been nagged at partly BECAUSE he wasn't very adept at controlling the objects he moved- and that they had actually dared to push the "you'll never graduate from this school" button. Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 15, 2010 Emi looked over at the kid, sighing at why lessons were being delayed. Did she really care? No. After all, it was only history class. Still trying to keep awake, Emi anticipated the end of the last class of the day.
Rosie 3 Posted July 15, 2010 The teacher seemed to get tired of trying to scold Jake, since the boy just stared up at him, looking highly unimpressed, the whole time. Eventually, the teacher walked back to the front of the room, leaving Jake with a week's detention and a slight headache. Tucking his legs under the desk and slumping forwards onto it, Jake tried to practise a little more, by throwing other people's pencils and pens at the board while the teacher's back was turned. Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 15, 2010 As she realized some of the pencils were flying off of the desk, Emi rolled her eyes. She secured her pencil in her hand, just in case. She glanced up at the clock. Five more minutes.... she thought.
Rosie 3 Posted July 15, 2010 Okay, time for something a little more complicated. Jake sat forwards in his seat, leaning onto the front two legs as he struggled, trying to force the minute hand ahead.
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 15, 2010 Despite being tired and anxious, Emi was surprised at how fast time was going. Five minutes later, but in reality, it was two, the bell rang. "Thank you," she mouthed to nothing in particular as she gathered her stuff and headed for the door.
Rosie 3 Posted July 15, 2010 Standing up and tugging his bag over his shoulder, Jake ambled out of the classroom, turning and taking the opposite direction to the rest of the class- going in the wrong direction.
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 15, 2010 Even though the hallway was staggered with students, Emi kept her eyes forward and kept walking. She kept her distance from others by a few inches. Eventually, she had exited out of the front entrance.
Rosie 3 Posted July 15, 2010 Jake took his usual short cut, and ended up slipping around, wandering around mindlessly outside.
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 15, 2010 Within a few minutes, Emi had arrived at the nearby pond. She sat in front of a tree, which is where she had slept the previous night. Setting her stuff aside, she looked up at the water before her. She wanted to practice, but she was so exhausted. Instead, she sat there, staring lazily at the water. Rosie 3 Posted July 23, 2010 (:'D I thought I'd replied.... -dies-) Within a minute or two, Jake's voice came from behind her. "You know, playing with the teacher's stuff tends to land you in trouble. Next time, at least splash the stupid coffee in his face or something."
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 24, 2010 (( -resurrection- :'D )) Emi jumped at the sudden sound. "W-who--?" she stuttered as she looked back. She was bewildered that anyone would come over to talk to her. After a second, she realized who it was. "Oh. You're the late kid." Her tension went away, but only to be replaced by her arrogance. "What do you want?"
Rosie 3 Posted July 24, 2010 "I want a lot of things," Jake replied, voice weighted with sarcasm. "World peace, a mini-fridge, decent canteen food... etcetera, etcetera." He took a few steps forwards, so he was practically right next to her. "But, right now, I'm bored. And you seem like a fun toy."
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 24, 2010 Emi glared at him. Hmph... Men and their idiotic ways, she thought. She turned back to look at the water, as though pretending that Jake didn't exist. Within a moment, she stated, "I'm sorry, but I prefer not to play with you. Why don't you go ask someone who could actually give you attention?"
Rosie 3 Posted July 24, 2010 "Everyone else is practising," Jake complained. "Some stupid ability test thing they didn't tell me about." It had been mentioned, of course- Jake had been asleep in his dorm room when it had. The other boys in there had given up totally on attempting to get him to get up in the morning- they just left him in bed because it wasn't worth the trouble. Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 24, 2010 "Whoever said I wanted to practice with you?" Emi questioned him. However, she paused. She really needed all of the practice that she can if she was going to graduate, and then become an elite. Even if it means I have to interact with someone... she thought. For Momma.... After a moment, she sighed as she said, "Alright, fine..."
Rosie 3 Posted July 24, 2010 "It's not like you have anything better to do. All you're doing is having a staring contest with a lake," he added, slipping his bag (which, admittedly, was pretty much empty of school stuff) and dumping it on the grass. "Besides, I figure having this is punishment for not listening to the teacher last lesson. I take discipline really seriously." The sarcasm and irony was clear in his voice and smug expression- it was pretty obvious anyway, coming from the guy who was never on time, never paying attention... and never doing well at anything, especially with his own ability. Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 24, 2010 Ignoring all of his remarks, Emi stood as she said, "Since, apparently, you don't have that much control over your power, I'll take it easy on you." She took a deep breath before lookibg directly at the water. With the movement of three of her fingers, three strands of water shot up, shooting directly at Jake.
