Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Questions

Recommended Posts

If you can answer any one of these than that would be great! :)

1. If a card says that I can take a monster from the graveyard, can I take out a Fusion, Ritual, Syncro, Tuner, or Xyz monster?

2. If I want to fuse monsters to create one level of 5 or more, do the Fusion Materials count as tributes or do I have to sacrifice 1 or 2 more monsters in addition to the Fusion Materials? Same for syncro and Xyz.

3. What color am I thinking of?

4. Can I use Spell Cards the same way I can use Trap Cards? (like putting them face down and using/activating them mid opponent's turn)

5. Can I summon a monster than use it as a sacrifice for another monster? (Like tribute)

6. How do I find Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments?

7. Are older sets banned in tournaments like they are in Pokemon and MTG?

8. Is there a way to see if a card is rare by a symbol or something like that like there is in Pokemon and MTG?

9. Are there Set Symbols like in Pokemon and MTG?

Answering any of these questions would be helpful becouse I want to start playing the game! :D

I haven't played the game in ages but I'll try:

3. What color am I thinking of?

Purple

4. Can I use Spell Cards the same way I can use Trap Cards? (like putting them face down and using/activating them mid opponent's turn)

I think you can only do that for Quick-Play Spell Cards. Any spell card can be played face down but only Quick Play cards can be played during opponents turns.

Woah! Nice to see someone wanting to play Yu Gi Oh!

1 - Depends. If that monster can be Special Summoned from the graveyard, then yes, you can!

2 - To most fusions you need specific monsters and a spell named polymerization. You can send them from the field and/or from your hand. For XYZ you need two or more monsters of the same level on the field to summon one xyz monster. For synchro you need the tuner and the non-tuners on the field.

3-Blue?

4-Only quick-play spell cards like Shrink can be used during your opponent's turn

5-Only one normal summon per turn, although some monsters' eff and spells allow you to summon more than one

6-not really sure, there aren't any here in brazil

7-I guess so

8-No, usually the price of it tells you if it's rare

9-No, I don't think so

It counts as a special summon, yes!

And you have to be sure if that monster can be brought back or not.

If it says like " can only be ss by some eff" then you can't. But if it says "must first be ss by eff" then if you correctly summoned it and it was sent to grave, you can bring it back!

6: If there is a local comic store or a store that sell trading cards, you can ask them. I go to Metropolix Comix for my tournaments (8241 Bruceville RD suite 160).

7: There is a banlist on the offical yugioh website. http://www.yugioh-online.net/en/index.html

8: There is rarity in the game. It goes from: common, short print, rare, super rare, ultra rare, ulitimate rare, secret rare, and ghost rare. Some advice, know what deck you want to build.

9: They do have symbols on the bottom right. 1st editon cards have a gold mark and unlimited editions have silver. You can tell from a fake to real. Also pay attention the texture of the card.

1. Unless the card says a specific monster then yes.

2. For Fusions, you need the specific monsters that is said on the Fusion card and Polymerization or a card that allows Fusion summoning; no sacrifice needed (Example: X-Head Cannon+Y-Dragon Head+Z-Metal Tank+ Polymerization = XYZ Tank Cannon). For Synchros, you need a Tuner monster and a regular monster who's levels must add up to the Synchro monster's level(Example: Junk Synchron+Level 2 Monster=Junk Warrior). For XYZ, you need monsters with the same level to XYZ summon (Example:Level 4+Level 4= Rank 4 XYZ Monster).

3. A color I don't know

4. Yes. If you have a Quick-Play spell in your hand or on the field, you can play it on your opponent's turn.

5. If the monster was Special Summoned or a Token that allows Tributes, you can sacrifice them.

6. Go to your local hobby shop who has Yu-Gi-Oh cards

7. I don't understand but there are banned cards from years ago that is still active today.

8. On the bottom right corner of the card is Gold if it's First Edition or above and underneath the card's picture will say First Edition or Limited Edition

9. There are symbols on the cards

1) Yes

2) In order to Fusion Summon, you'll need a card that allows you to Fusion Summon (Ex: Polymerization)

The Fusion Material monsters are sent to the Graveyard, not Tributed.

Same goes for Synchro Summon

3) Black

4) That goes for Quick-Play Spell Cards only.

Every other Spells can only be activated on your turn (Althought you can Set a non Quick-Play Spell Card, and still activate it on the same turn)

5) You can Tribute Summon a monster, by using a monster that was Tribute Summoned.

Ex: Summoned Skull can be Tributed for the Tribute Summon of Curse of Dragon

6) Try to find local stores that hold tournaments.

You can find that on the official website, or ARG's website

7) You can use any card from any set, even from older sets. Although you can't use Forbidden cards, like Monster Reborn, Solemn Judgment, etc. This goes for tournaments, if you want to, you can use banned cards on casual duels.

8) It depends on its foil type, and on how rare it is on certain sets.

Ex: Mystical Space Typhoon is really easy to get in Common (Just get any deck), but if you want a Gold Rare Mystical Space Typhoon, you're gonna have to invest.

9) Nope.

Cards have a set of 4 letters, telling you from what set it is.

Ex: Dark Magician from Yugi's Duelist Pack

DPYG

Dark magician from Legendary Collection 3:

LCYW

Fool. I feel like these are fake questions. But I can't be sure since people are trying to answer them seriously.

All questions except #3 are serious questions. xD
