KHFM Recolored Heartless

Recommended Posts

This kinda just popped up in my head, so i was playing the original Kingdom Hearts for PS2 (but if I had a ps3 to play hd, i'd be playing that), and I wondered: since in KHFM they recolored the Heartless, shouldn't they keep that recolorization (if that's a word :) ) in CoM? I mean, it makes sense, doesn't it? Instead of reverting the colors back to the old ones?

By the way, which is your favorite color difference? Mine is Search Ghost, he just looks so much spookier...

The only differences I don't like is Guard Armor and Wyvern, I think their originals were much better.

I didn't really like any of the re-colors, most of them were too brightly colored and took away the dark, you-need-to-kill-these-things-as-soon-as-possible feel of the game. Guard Armor especially in this case, I HATE Guard Armor's re-color. And then some of them got the color sucked out of them, like the Large Bodies and Soldiers. There were some I liked, not a lot though. While I liked Halloweentown's Heartless original colors, their re-colors reminded me of Oogie's song, which probably was the point.

I personally prefer the originals since they're what I'm more used to, but most of the recolors haven't bugged me so far, either. I don't mind that CoM/Re:CoM kept the original colors, though.

I'm guessing the inexperienced Osaka team had to use the original colours for some reason.

GBA CoM was made by the TOKYO TEAM which has normal colors. OSAKA just remade it for the PS2. Plus there was no FM reCoM. They only get recolored if there was a FM.
