What happened to Goofy's son?

Recommended Posts

That's a good question, but I really don't know.  KH likes to avoid the concept of family thus far, with the exception of uncles and grandmothers, so I wouldn't really expect him until they start introducing other family elements, Sora's mother for example.

If they did, though, how do you think he would be tied into the story?

Max probably hasn't been addressed yet because he wasn't created as a character until Goof Troop came around, and they've only used characters that came from the Disney movies or characters that have been around for a lot longer like Donald's nephews. I just don't really think it's something vital that'll ever get addressed in the games, like Sora's parents.

To my knowledge, KH only takes the classic shorts and the movies into consideration, so appearances from TV series probably won't happen (if they do, maybe we could run around shooting hockey pucks in a Mighty Ducks world).  Oswald might make a future appearance since he's another classic and his appearance in Epic Mickey, but it's hard to tell.

It might be better if Max doesn't appear in KH, because then there'd be some awkward questions as to why Goofy is hanging around some spiky-haired dude with a key instead of his own son.  It's not like parenting is ever done in the KH universe.

Max appear in a Goofy Movie and an Extremely Goofy movie. Both are Disney movies.

But they're actually not part of the animated canon.  There's lots of movies with Disney's name on it that won't necessarily appear in KH.

I hope him and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit or Mickey's older brother both appear in KH3, here is some concept that might go along for them:

Wait? Mickey has an older brother? I thought Oswald was Mickey's older half brother or something?

Max didn't want his father to be part of his life any more, and is trying to keep his distance in an attempt to look cool, leaving Goofy is a hopeless position of wanting to retain his son's love, but only being able to do so from a great distance and little contact.

The Goofy Movie is shockingly emotional.

Admittedly I don't think there are any hard and fast rules that determine what's canon, but I think the generally agreed upon definition is movies made by the main Disney branch, like The Lion King and Aladdin and Frozen and whatnot.  The Goofy Movies seem to be outside of that, so even if they were to be used one day, I imagine KH would rather use up its other "main" movies first before dipping into other sources.

well carrying on, unless Sora's family finally makes an appearance in kh3, i dont think we're going to see any family members of anyone except for Kairi's grandmother and donald's uncle.

Asking about Max is like asking about what happened to Sora's mom! xD No, but in all seriousness he does need to be included. Like maybe he can be a knight in training or something. And Nomura should add in things about Sora, Riku, and Kairi's Family. What did they do just vanish off the face of the Kingdom Hearts Universe? :3 Hopefully this'll be explained...if not...we can blame Nomura logic... :/
