After seeing Maleficent..

..I honestly wouldn't mind it being in KH3. I thought it was pretty good movie(the only thing that bothered me were the name changes of some character's). But I wouldn't mind the film being in the game. I'm not going to say any spoiler's but lets just say some of the plot for the movie conflicts with the one in KH. But somehow I would like to see the movie version of her being implemented in there, for the backstory and the way she looks. Idk what do you guys think?

she's the good guy and it's a retelling of sleeping beauty. It wouldn't work in kh3.

With all the time-travelling bs in the Kingdom Hearts series, they will find a way. Maleficient might redeem herself at some point. Maybe after the Xehanort Saga has ended, though.

I would only like for Maleficent's backstory to be mentioned to an extent, and not ruin the animated version of Maleficent.  For example, let's say she's with Pete in the castle, and she's reminiscing of her past, and when Pete asks her what's wrong, she tells the story of her past life, and you can see at least bits and pieces of flashbacks where she has her wings, etc. But not with Angelina Jolie's face.  Keep the animated Maleficent's face, and we're golden.

Yeah, I know, me too, but changing Maleficent's animated face with Angelina Jolie's face would be weird considering that we've already seen Maleficent's animated face in all the other games.  It wouldn't look right.  So as I said, keep the backstory, but don't put Jolie's voice or face, and it'll all work out.

Hell no! That movie was a spit in the face to anyone who loved the original Disney classic. Literally, they tell you that if you liked and believed that the original animated movie was the true story, you were wrong and that this movie is the "true" story of what happened. They had a golden chance to take one of the most famous and feared Disney villains of all time and make her much more three-dimensional than the original movie did, but no, they had to make their own version of Wicked and say that she is and always has been a kind motherly figure who was wronged by man, and not just "man" as in "mankind", but "man" as in "guys". I get that they wanted to make a female empowerment story, but they went about it in the wrong ways, especially when you're trying to make Disney's most iconic villain into a misunderstood, innocent, motherly godmother of all motherlyness. Maleficent was always meant to be a villain, they could have expanded on that with the tragic backstory and explained why and how she became evil, but instead they decided to make all of the good guys into bad guys and all of the bad guys into good guys. Because that's what Wicked did to be different and popular right? Right?....right?...Anyway, the only positive thing I can say about that movie is that Angelina Jolie looked like and acted out a terrific Maleficent...at least when the script actually had her doing evil or spiteful stuff. Everything else just felt like a different Angelina Jolie movie.

 

Sigh, anyway, sorry for the rant, but no, I don't think the world of "Maleficent" would fit anywhere in Kingdom Hearts 3 or any subsequent Kingdom Hearts game. Maleficent is set as the villain, and to make her seem like anything other than evil is a step in the wrong direction.

I really enjoyed the movie, but I don't see how they could implement it into the game, unless that version exists within an alternate universe somehow.  I kind of tend to agree with Sora, though, and seriously doubt that it'll make it into KH3.

I am gonna be the irritating guy that states the obvious : Maleficent already is in KH  . We still don't know if she's gonna be in the upcoming title but I mean why getting in the trouble of making a whole new world and new storyline based on the Maleficent movie when you already have her as a villain in previous titles .

Eee, I'm hesitant about the thought but I was thinking about how Disney is like remaking some of the Princesses of Hearts' films (Maleficent, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, etc) and well... It is pretty much hinted that those worlds will need to come back. 

 

 

Since the plot of the original films are already covered in the KH series, then logically, they could renew the worlds and use those new story lines. I really don't want that to happen though

I don't like the movie, it was all like: "THE ORIGINAL STORY WAS A LIE BLABLABLA MALEFICENT IS ACTUALLY GOOD BLABLABLA," and all that other nonsense. It won't make sense if they decide to put it in the KH series.

The only reason she helped Sora is because the Organization was also her enemy. It was one of the enemy of my enemy is my friend type situations. Let's not forget she did come back in ReCoded and Kingdom Hearts 3D has a villain! And the Maleficent from the live action movie just wouldn't fit in Kingdom Hearts! Kingdom Hearts Maleficent is evil to the bone! I'm with Hero of Light on this one. This just wouldn't work!

Well she did save sora in kingdom hearts 2 so maybe sora dosent see her as a enemy any more even if she considers sora as one . But maybe she'll command the heartless to a war against the nobodies that would be cool.
