Dio Brando 5,810 Posted July 9, 2014 While playing 1.5 and waiting for 2.5 to come out I questioned in my mind : How the hell it took them over 10 years just to give us content that were exclusive to Japan only? Why couldn't they include all of those content in the worldwide release to begin with, sure it would result in a couple of months of delays but still it would've been better they should stop the Final Mix editions practice cuz it's really irritating when they keep great content that they should've put in the game in the first place exclusively to Japan. this is KH not freakin Street Fighter. We shouldn't get a vanilla version of the game and then wait for the super turbo Ultra hyper Alpha special GOTY Arcade Championship combo meal edition just to get the experience that we should've got from the beginning Please no more Final Mixes....give me one complete package and support it with DLC.....I'm tired of Final Mix. I hope Kingdom Hearts 3 won't have a Final Mix edition cuz it'll be stupid to have the finale of the Xehanort saga have Japan exclusive content. I don't want Final Mix and I don't want 3.5 Just give us KH3,support the game with a couple of DLC,and there ya go,problem solved And if they ever made another Final Mix.....DON'T KEEP IT EXCLUSIVE TO JAPAN 6 Tails, Philip Ellwell, Cucco and 3 others reacted to this

Kaweebo 3,617 Posted July 9, 2014 The Final Mixes have just been a giant headdache to everyone besides the developers themselves. And the only reason it never bothered them is because they got to go back into familiar territory and add a few things, then stamp the same price tag on the same damn game with a little bit of 'extra content'. Meanwhile, Japan is stuck to buy THE SAME GAME again and everyone else gets a giant middle finger from Square. This business practice (at least as far as exclusivity is concerned) should not be used ever again. Beat it, bury it in a desert somewhere and wash your hands clean. 2 Garrett929 and Cucco reacted to this
Cucco 1,907 Posted July 9, 2014 Yeah, as much as I love the new content, it just shows that they released the game incomplete. A few dlc things after the games release would be fine with me
Omega Ness 112 Posted July 9, 2014 The Final Mixes are great. What the hell are you talking about? They add new content, and add new colours to enemies. It's FANTASTIC! BTW, I'm kidding.
Tails 6,690 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) this is KH not freakin Street Fighter. We shouldn't get a vanilla version of the game and then wait for the super turbo Ultra hyper Alpha special GOTY Arcade Championship combo meal edition I'm sorry but that made me laugh harder than it should have lol. But yeah you're right, I really hope that Square Enix doesn't make a Final Mix for KH3. It would make TONS of NA and EU fans angry since KH3 is supposed to be the last game in the Xehanort Saga. And besides, Square Enix should just make the extra content DLC rather than making people buy the same game twice just for some extra content. I mean heck, Birth by Sleep Final Mix sold less than the original Japanese Birth by Sleep because a lot of people didn't want to pay twice for the same game. That right there is proof enough that Square should just do DLC from now on with their KH games. roxion 42 Posted July 9, 2014 I always thought of this. First, I thought they just didn't want to, because they didn't believe it wasn't gunna sell well. Imagine buying the same game twice just because it had a little extra on it, when you were a kid. Then dropping another 50 dollars. Your parents probably wouldn't have got it. Maybe Square thought the same thing too. Then again, maybe they were planning to release it outside of Japan when the time was right. How convenient Kingdom Hearts 3 is on it's way and Final Mixes are finally given to us after years of begging. It will be in HD and will have extra content and will be in english. The KH3 hype probably draws old fans that left of 2, newcomers and diehard fans to experience Final Mix after years. That draws money in. Though, we could've watched it on YouTube, we had wanted to play it ourselves. Square is an asshole for making us wait years for it to be released, but it was a damn smart marketing move. Square is a business first and they want our money, let's remember that. 2 Garrett929 and Cucco reacted to this
Caity 3,946 Posted July 9, 2014 I always thought the FMs came out to add the content that Western SE add to KH for their releases, plus some extras so Japanese people won't import those ones instead of buying the Japanese FM version. Like the Ice Titan, Sephiroth and Kurt Zisa weren't in the original Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts 1. Course Japan did it better when it came to adding more content. I think if there is a FM edition it won't be Japan exclusive since the messages in the KH ReMix was blah blah been waiting to bring this to other countries blah blah. Doing the same is just silly, I also would expect they'd just do DLC since so many other companies are gearing towards that rather than releasing the same game twice with bonus material these days, just seems a little backwards. By the way, Final Mixes won't be Japan exclusive if Nomura decides to do another FM, he said it was a massive mistake not releasing Final Mixes in... North America. Meaning if there is another Final Mix, it will be Japan and North America. Like to say ta for the consideration from those of us in the EU, feel like such a valued customer. 2 Cucco and Sendou Aichi reacted to this
jj the jet 19 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) To be hoest, and level with me because this may sound crazy and illogical. But I LOVE the Final Mixes. That is, so long as they're not Japan exclusive which I guess they won't be anymore. Trust me, I understand that it can make it feel like the game was incomplete, that we're spending more money to buy the same game twice for just some extra content. Here's my thing. As long as there's enough content changes that can make the game experience feel even better than before. I'm happy. It's like giving you more reasons to love the game and the series. Kingdom Hearts II had the most Extra content out of all the Final Mixes. It changed my view of Kingdom Hearts II Completely. It's not just the new content but usually in Final Mixes they up the challenge by adding a new difficulty. That's the best part. All the Final Mixes had things that genuinely made the game a brain farter on choosing your tactics better and get away from button mashing. However, I do think that they should handle how they release the new Content. For example, I've never played the PS3, so I can't imagaine the capabilities that the PS4 must have. They could have it where we can buy the new content through the PS4 "Playstaion Now" thing I think it's called. They could price the Final Mix content for like $10 or $15. That sounds like a good idea right? Edited July 9, 2014 by jj the jet
Kodakliv 558 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) There should never be another Final Mix,they either should include everything in the game from the get go or support the game with DLC you have to understand they didn't have DLC back in the golden days. I'm sure if they did have dlc they would of treated everyone fair. I actually like final mixes because they can relook at the game and see where it needs improvement, then they can use that for there next game. sagman12PC 280 Posted July 9, 2014 There wont be anymore final mixes, especially for KH3. We live in a day and age where if a developer wanted to add extra content in a game they could just add it in the form of DLC. If KH3 ever got any extra features they would be added in as DLC
Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted July 9, 2014 One way to stamp out Final Mixes would be to not add any additional content to the NA/EU/PAL versions of the game in the first place. KH added the Ice Titan, Kurt Zisa and Sepheroth fights BbS added the Void Gear Keychain, the Mysterious Figure fight and the No Name Keychain.

And really?I can get the game from any site like Amazon for less of the price that PS now demands and keep it for life instead of paying 15$ for a 20 days rent I understand what you are trying to say buddy but you have to remember KH1 in Japan had tons of glitches, and by the time USA got there version they were aware of these glitches and fixed most of them. They also wanted KH to sell well here in America since it's where Disney is from so they added a few extra things to make it sell well. Japan got a Final Mix that fixed all glitches and got all the stuff we got. Well they had to add a bit more since if they got our version nobody would buy it. This is what started the whole final mix thing. As for KH2 Final Mix they remade Chain of Memories in 3D well why not bundle it with KH2 with more stuff. It was a pretty good market plan on Japan's part.As for Birth By sleep I think they where planning a Final mix for a while that is why USA's version got delayed a bit longer so that way we got tons of the new stuff. Look I might be wrong here but it is what I think happened.

And really?I can get the game from any site like Amazon for less of the price that PS now demands and keep it for life instead of paying 15$ for a 20 days rent Lol no because Street fighter isn't Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts is the only game I'd do this for. $10 to $15 is a realistic price that I'd imagine they would actually put it for. Also When I said that price that was only if they added a lot of extra content like they did with Kingdom Hearts II. They could have put it as downloadable content but maybe they didn't completely know how to actually impliment it. I could be completely wrong about that who knows lol. It sounds like an easy task to us, and sure there might have been other games that did but who knows how complex it really is. All in all, it's not like I don't get what you're saying because I do. I'm just saying I'd be fine with whether they put it all on one disc or on seperated discs or as downloadable conent. Maybe I'm a little more ok with this than others because I'm not really a hard core gamer, so I rarely spend large amounts of money on games. If I played as many games as other people, I'm pretty sure I'd want the same thing too.

I always wondered by SE didn't release the final mixes here, unless they underestimated the popularity of their own series being able to sell a game with small additions...
