sagman12PC 280 Posted July 7, 2014 How do you guys think drive forms will be handled in KH3? We all know they changed the name of the gauge to EX in the D23 trailer so does that mean we will be getting more drive forms? And will they still require characters to be used up to activate them? On a side note i really hope Anti-Form isnt in the game, its literally the most useless drive form in KH2. Sure it does alot of damage but you cant use magic or items, all your party members go away, and you cant even revert out of it so if it pops up in a boss fight on critical you are pretty much screwed 1 Ruby Rose reacted to this

Yuya Sakaki 5,212 Posted July 7, 2014 I think that the Keyblade Transformations will be the Drive Form's replacement in Kingdom Hearts III, and that they will work similarly to the Command Styles in Birth by Sleep. And Anti Form was the best! What planet are you from?! Peace!
Hyper-Rushe 17 Posted July 7, 2014 I doubt drive forms will make a comeback that was KHII's gimmick, every game had something different from the rest. The new gimmick will likely be keyblade transformations.
fremanz 14 Posted July 7, 2014 i think key blade transformations have the potential to replace drive forms and be even better, therefore making them not needed

Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted July 7, 2014 KH3 will most likely not have Drive Forms as it has got Keyblade Transformations and Attraction Flow as its gimmicks. Especially since Keyblade Transformations are basically Drive Forms so having them would be pointless. I would personally like to see Anti-Form make a comeback though in some way or another like maybe in KH3 Sora has some problems with Darkness due to the events in KH3D....but that's another story. Keyblade transformations are based off Command Styles, they aren't the replacement for Drive Forms Nomura basically said the KH 3 will have a little bit of something from each title, so while we may not have actual drive forms, we'll most likely have a system evolved from it. SorrowSurvivor 191 Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) I hope you don't have to switch out party members any more so you can use it in any situation. I think Drive Forms would be pretty much the same as KH2 but on a bigger scale. There would be more drive forms and each has its benefits and downsides. Some new benefits could include each form having unique Command Styles, Keyblade Transformations, Shotlocks, Flowmotion moves, Limits etc that you can only access in a particular Form. Also I'd like to choose which keyblades a Drive Form uses even if it only has one keyblade. Lastly, they should make leveling up Forms from normal experience points or at least make it easier like Valor Form so that you won't reach the end of the game with only 1 Form that leveled up. Neptune Vasilias 340 Posted July 7, 2014 I believe that after we free Ventus and give him back his heart that Sora can't use Drive Forms so what will happen is Sora will internalize abilities from each Drive Form so what will happen is: Valor- More Strength and Air Combos and Shockwave attacks Wisodm-Better at Magic and shooting which we saw in his latest Keyblade Tansformation Master- I didn't use it much so whatever is special about that Final-The ability to throw his Keyblade around telekineticlly Limit- Dodge Roll and moves from KH1/KH:Com Anti- I don't even know

AuraAce 1,126 Posted July 7, 2014 Why wouldn't he be able to use drive if he gave his heart back? He won't be able to because Sora was able to use Drive Forms in the first place because of Ventus' heart. Most Drive Forms are Dual Wielding, the way he Dual Wielded was with the Kingdom Key; Sora's Key Blade and the Wayward Wind; Ventus' Keyblade. Because Roxas harbored both in 358/2 Days, he could Dual Wield and when he is in TWTNW when he was going to fight Xemnas when Riku intervened, at the start of the scene, you see him summoning two Kingdom Keys which actually should have been a Kingdom Key and Wayward Wind however they hadn't thought of the Birth By Sleep preface by that point. KeybladeHero94 32 Posted July 7, 2014 I would like to see more drive forms honestly, they were always so helpful during a boss fight
jj the jet 19 Posted July 8, 2014 Hmm. I'm not sure how they would hanlde them, however I hope they're not overpowered like they were in Kingdom Hearts 2. I think they should keep the same drive forms but tweak them a little bit to require more skill to use them and make it more challenging rather than for them to be overpowered button mashers.
