So I am thinking about getting Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD remaster this summer since it's at a good price on Amazon (I'm debating on either getting FF X/X-2 HD remaster, Metal gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and The Last of Us). But I just thought I'd ask how good it is to you guys since there are FF fans on this site. So yeah, how good is the HD remaster to you? Is it worth the purchase? Because right now it's about $28.12 on Amazon which seems like a good price to get it on. Also, do you guys think it's worth playing Final Fantasy X-2? Haha yeah, any second now Mr. 96 will give me the info on how good or bad this HD remaster is. Also, how far are you on FFX? If you are talking about getting The Last Of Us on PS3 you are better waiting to get it on PS4, and keep in mind Ground Zeroes only has like an hour gameplay so FFX would definitely be my priority choice. Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) As good as the original games, a lot of people didn't like the X-2 because it was such a departure in tone from the first one. It has a very Charlie's Angels meets Sailor Moon feel. Personally, I liked it, but it's not on the same level of X. I wouldn't say X-2 isn't worth playing, but X is definitely the better of the 2 games. 143436611Xxcc 1,105 Posted July 3, 2014 It's the same game essentially... However there's a lot of facial expressions lost in the new game models. When you remake a game into HD that is 10+ years old, it's pretty hard to realize it as a full current game... To me at least FFX feels really dated, if suggest buying it on PS3 for the extras and of course the HD-ness if you enjoyed the original. Just know it's really dated. Silvia Kuroi 1,480 Posted July 3, 2014 Funny, because I got the Remaster on Vita not too long ago. So far, I would recommend it. Especially if you haven't played it yet. It is kinda different from other FF games (especially the ones closer in number), but has a really deep story that I get the feeling is capable of sucking anyone in.
