Firaga 5,947 Posted October 25, 2014 ALLLLLL THE ACTION! Everybody from Kirito to Klein got to shine this week, taking down monsters on their path to Excalibur. That and Freyja joining the party along with Klein's shenanigans made the episode for me. lol The cliffhanger with Thrym showing up at the end just makes it all the more exciting too. 2 Shulk and Joker reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) Okay, let's get the funny stuff out of the way, because there was a lot of it for me: It's HAMMA TIME! Freya went Broly Mode! ("My power is rising! Overflowing! I AM A GOOOOOD!") By Odin's Beard, today's episode was fun. Seeing Freya turn into Thor/Broly and kill Thrym's ass was entertaining and hilarious. As well as seeing Klein get his happy ending... sort of. But yeah, big happy ending to this little arc of SAOII. 17 episodes down, 8 more to go. I wonder how the last episodes will play out. Shulk 8,623 Posted November 8, 2014 Well, we started off a new arc today: Mother's Rosario! I've been waiting a long time for this one. I heard about it a long time ago, and it sounded fantastic, so I'm glad that we're finally on to this arc. This one's supposed to focus on Asuna instead of Kirito, which will be an interesting change. So far, we have a mysterious figure known as Zekken, who seems like he'll be the main villain this time around. He supposedly took down Kirito, so seeing Asuna battle him should be interesting. He seems really suspicious to me, though... I think he's a former SAO player, even though Kirito denied the possibility. I feel like Asuna wouldn't have had that thought if he wasn't one, anyway. Regardless, I'm excited to see Asuna battle him next week. We've also got an updated version of the opening to fit this arc, and an entirely new ending! Opening: http://youtu.be/LI0B0uIQvbs Ending: http://youtu.be/stjbGuQ53KY I'm curious about who that new girl is... Maybe Zekken's actually a girl? 1 Firaga reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) Don't you just love how they stick in all these new characters in the opening/ending animations just to make you go "wait, who the f*ck are these people?" I'm curious about who that new girl is... Maybe Zekken's actually a girl? That's what I was thinking too. I mean, they showed off all those hypothetical images of Zekken being a big brawny dude, but imagine the surprise when we find out its this little girl instead. And that would be hilarious because it would be mean Kirito lost to a little girl too. If she turns out to be Zekken though, it doesn't look like there's gonna be any real conflict. You saw her and Asuna in the ending, they be tight. Edited November 8, 2014 by Firaga Sensei 1 Shulk reacted to this

She looked about the same height as Asuna in the opening, so she might be older. She did look young in the ending, though... Confusion, blegh. I heard this arc is more story-driven than action-driven, anyway. I think the main conflict will be whatever happened to Asuna at Kyoto. Also, tight is an understatement. 1 Firaga reacted to this

Shulk 8,623 Posted November 15, 2014 HA, I KNEW ZEKKEN WAS THE PURPLE HAIRED GIRL! Anyway, back to my usual stuff... Today's episode was interesting. It looks like we're starting to get a look at Asuna's real life, which really isn't as happy as she makes it out to be. I get a feeling we'll be seeing more of that guy that Asuna's mother was trying to get her to date, and that it won't end well. As for the second half... Kirito was right. Zekken (Or Yuuki, I suppose) is definitely powerful. Even Asuna couldn't stand much of a chance against her. I'm curious about what these Sleeping Knights are. I'm guessing that it might be some guild that Yuuki is a part of, but I suppose we'll learn next week! There was also a new opening, which I can link here, even though it will probably be removed within a few days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UFeZ-T1Ztw (Don't know why we needed a third version so soon, but oh well. ) 1 Firaga reacted to this

The freaking Caliber Arc only lasted three episodes and it got its own ending animation. But yeah, great episode, Asuna VS Yuuki was cool, and Asuna's mom is a biiiitch. The moment that she walked into the dining room with her, I thought "well, this is going to be depressing". The rain didn't help either. Also, you'd think her parents would just drop the whole "picking partners" thing for her after the thing with Sugo. I don't care if your dumbass hubby picked him, Mrs. Yuki, there's obviously a problem when the first guy you pick... well, you know what he did. I'm sure you wouldn't want a repeat of that. Seriously, he almost raped her... wake up and smell the roses. But I guess we just can't have that, can we? Yay emotional turmoil. Anyways, looks like Asuna is going to be our main character from now until Mother Rosario's end, hanging out with Yuuki and the "Sleeping Knights", who I also think is her guild, with the new opening sort of already giving that away with the new characters and all that. And since we're still in ALO, I guess the big conflict is going to be with Asuna's family and life problems. I wonder how that'll play out. 1 Akatsuki reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted November 23, 2014 Yep, the Sleeping Knights are a guild, and it looks like Asuna's joinin'! Not without the weight of her overbearing mom digging in once again, as well as her threatening to get rid of Asuna's NerveGear if she breaks more house rules. That's a set up for a huge ass climax near the end of the anime if I ever saw it. So anyways: good episode. SK is okay, nothing really exciting, except Yuuki of course. But I'm sure hot head Jun (who sounds like Kid Obito/Gon), big guy Tecchi (who never opens his eyes), squeamish Talken (who just reminds me of an older, skinnier Recon), tomboy Nori (who kinda sounds like Tenten from Naruto to me for some reason lol) and quite girl Liune (who feels like Asuna if she was a little more shy, but hey, that's not a bad thing), will make a better impression later on. Also I have a theory about these guys and what Yuuki's "secret" is: in the opening we see the sequence with the two kids who go from baby to young girl and the end its Yuuki; I think that the two girls we see are actually twins, and one of them is Yuuki, while the other one died when they were young. Also, I think the rest of the guild, Yuuki included, are terminally ill. Last note: Kirito's arrival at the end was hype. lol Doesn't matter how focused this arc is on Asuna, Kirito is Kirito God dammit. He'll always come in just to remind us he exists. Plus I can tell he'll probably wreck ass next week too. Oh yeah, and SK too. Plus I'm glad they teased the boss fight thing instead of showing it so if/when SK fights it again, it'll be ten times better.

Of course, part of me is wondering if Yuuki is actually controlled by two people. I might just be thinking of .Hack//Sign, since the same thing happened in that. I think Yuuki might be terminally ill, but I'm not sure about the rest. She was the only one who really seemed to have something on her mind when they were together. I guess we'll find out soon, though. I lost it when Kirito came in out of nowhere. Can't wait to see him stop that entire group of players by himself next week. Also, on a final note... Asuna's mom pisses me off. 2 Firaga and Joker reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted November 29, 2014 Anybody else watch Episode 21? No. Alright. Well, in this week's episode: Kirito helps Asuna and the Sleeping Knights mow down the annoying fodder blocking them from the entrance to their boss battle, and then they take on the boss battle for realsies, in a glorious fashion, I might add. There's also a loooot of tension filling the air as we get some hints, some bad hints, about Yuuki's past. The biggest thing is that she calls Asuna her "sis" (or in Japanese, onee-chan) which foreshadows my theory, I think, about her possibly dead sister. The way SK act during their post-battle party also leads me to think that my terminally ill theory might be true as well... the plot thickens as we only have three, count 'em, three episodes left before SAOII draws to a close with the Mother's Rosario arc. 1 Shulk reacted to this

I know they're not, but these are the types of theories I make over this stuff. Dr. Shimo 202 Posted December 7, 2014 (edited) So, I absolutely loved this episode! I saw the terminal thing coming, but having Yuuki have AIDS was superb in a way. I enjoyed the different medical aspects they brought in, and I love the psychological aspects that the whole of SAOII has brought since the very beginning! (Plenty was in SAO, but the Gun Gale Arc and Sinon brought it to a whole new level). Plus, Asuna finally having such a huge arc on her own is great! I don't care if it did come from a side story, this is totally canon and worth having in the show.
