the REAL, TRUE, MAIN reasons why marvel and star wars won't work.

the reasons why marvel won't work is its to real and does mix with the logic of KH, plus theres to many people in the marvel universe the only why i can see it maybe working is if the did the comics and people will get mad if they do the wrong hero. star wars won't work is because its to big and it would be like adding a mini KH in KH, you can't just have 1 world or just space. so there you go there are no other reasons why it won't work that are legit

Marvel items I could see working, which to  make sense, I would accept a Marvel summon.  But a whole world, I don't want to see modern day new york (which is basically where every super hero actually saves anyone) in a fantastical setting of KH, too much realism, blended with KH characters on top of the more cartoony Disney characters just looks uncomfortable and awkward.  Tron was the only one that did this successfully for me in the series and that's cause they even changed the tone of Sora and Co's flesh to match Tron and his outfit matched the setting, in Tron Legacy in DDD, their realistic faces of the world's characters just looked odd, and it's even worse in Port Royal, Sora stands out like a $2 hooker in a nunnery (that being said, the PR characters themselves looked great but their contrast with Sora was off putting).

They could make it work, I doubt it would be anything worse then Alantica in KH2. Port royal never really felt right in KH2 to me but, they still did a good job on that world.

On the Marvel front, watch clips from the Ultimate Spider-Man tv show. Trust me, there is room for whimsical logic and settings with Marvel. As for choosing the wrong hero, Square & Disney face that problem with every world and character they choose from both of their libraries. Ask anybody here, and you'll get a lot of varied opinions of what Final Fantasy Character KH should bring in.

Star Wars...I can agree that having just one world would be rather small scale for Star Wars's usual scope, but if you go for something that makes sense to be on its own, like a broken down capital ship from the Clone Wars or the Death Star, I think it could still work.

I agree with you all on this one. Though, the more I think about it, the more I see potential. I honestly could see a Star Wars implementation in the game. Franchises like marvel are too realistic, and there isn't much depth or variety, I don't want to fly my gummi ship to "New York City" Star Wars on the other hand, has that fantasy feeling with a great story behind it that Sora & co could fit into it. I could see them aiming for the original trilogy, there is potential there.

 

But the question is, how would they do it? I honestly think it would be too much like the "Pirates of the Caribbean" world in Kingdom Hearts II. They have to properly fit it into the series, and find a way to keep it to one world. That will be the biggest, most circumstantial issue in my case. I can see Sora strategizing with Luke, Han, and Admiral Ackbar over how to defeat the deathstar. I can see the gummie ship flying into the epic final battle

They can definitely make both Marvel and Star Wars work. They don't need to use the entire stories or all characters in those universes. As for worlds, Stars Wars could be fit in nicely,otherwise for both they can always make new KH original worlds where they live in like they have done with the Final Fantasy characters.

I agree with you. People put too much hate on something that they didn't even see in a kindling hearts game. For instance, the tron world in kh2 looked realistic like the Caribbean world, but people actually liked the tron world. So if SE tries a Star Wars world in kingdom hearts 3 it may work. SE may have to try new worlds so they can see if the fans like it or not, but not just by not putting it in the game. That will lead them no where.

I really don't want Marvel and Star Wars in the Kingdom Hearts series, because it will feel uncomfortable. Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean did pretty well but I agree that seeing Sora, Donald, and Goofy in realistic worlds puts them out of place. Seriously instead of adding worlds from Marvel and Star Wars, how about adding original worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3. For example, like Twilight Town, Traverse Town, Daybreak Town, and my favorite world The World That Never Was. Or Better yet adding Pixar Worlds and other Disney worlds we haven't seen yet.

I don't know why, but I think Deadpool as a summonable character would be amazing.

Marvel is easy. Just make it a side story ala 100 acre woods where you find pages and you enter the comic world in the comic shop in shibuya. Star Wars is to big and you cant pick just one world or battle because it would be to detached from the rest of the story to make an impact on KH.

People need to stop hating on the idea that Star Wars could work, Nomura has already shown he's a Star Wars fan. Its quite now a possibility that we'll get Star Wars more likely than Marvel.

 

He chose Mark Hammil for the role of Eraqus because he was Luke Skywalker for HEAVEN'S SAKES! He's clearly a Star Wars fan.....and if allowed he'll obviously jump at the chance.

 

There are MULTIPLE ways Star Wars can work, and its not too far fetched either.
