Locke just waved then turned to the batlle. "Kabuto! Follow Treecko up with Aqua Jet!" He yelled. Kabuto was eveloped by water and the he flew forward behind treecko at high speeds for a follow up combo attack.

Maple glanced at the new comer. "About time you got here! You are SO late!"Maple yelled. Shuppet was quickly hit by the quick attack. However Shuppet smirked as it did no harm whatsoever. Maple laughed as he gave a smirk similar to its Shuppet. "Don't you know?! Normal type attacks are useless against ghost pokemon,same goes for fighting type moves!"Maple yelled with grace in his voice. But as soon as Treeko finished Kabuto came right behind,hitting Shuppet,which cried out in pain. "Shuppet! Don't give up! It's just a scratch,no water type moves can hurt you that bad!"Maple yelled. Shuppet shook its head as it regained its composure,glaring at the enemy. "Riku get your pokemon moving will ya! Alright Shuppet get them shaking with screech!"Maple ordered. Shuppet took in a deep breath,and as it opened its mouth Shuppet let out an inhuman but extremely high pitched screech that ravaged across the field,getting to the ears of both the opponent pokemon and their trainers."Atta boy!"

"Ok then," Riku said. "Back to the battle, Pidgey use Gust on Treecko!" Riku said happily.

This was his first battle in the Kalos region (of course), so Riku could not contain himself. He was having loads of fun. "I'm getting pumped Maple!" Riku said cheerfully.

"Kabuto! Defend!" Exclaimed Locke.

 

"Kabu!" the pokemon exclaimed as it moved towards Treecko, but sadly Kabuto was not fast enough to reach Treecko. As the gust attack would surely reach the grass type pokemon first.

Leo and Riolu both sat down watching the battles. They were all amazing trainers. Leo folded his arms and smiled. "This is going to be one heck of an adventure!" Leo said. Riolu agreed happily.

Treecko was hit by Pidgey's gust attack, sending his flying back. It did a great amount of damage on Rin's partner.

"Treecko!" she exclaimed. 

Treecko sat up, he was strong, he could fight.

"If normal type attacks wont work...then use Absorb on Shuppet!" Rin exclaimed. 

The Treecko's body glowed a green and the Absorb attack headed towards Shuppet.

Locke looked at Kabuto.... "If speed is an issue then i have the answer...KABUTO! USE ROCK POLISH!"

 

The pokemon's shell began to look smoother and the energy of the pokemon seemed to change.

Maple was smiling non-stop. Anyone who knew him before this moment wouldn't recognize such smile without him torturing someone mentally. It was that hidden happiness that he only showed around pokemon that seemed to come out and shine in pokemon battles. But then again it would be his first pokemon battle,so he would be amazingly happy obviously. Maple smirked as Treeko came in and used absorb onto Shuppet. "Shuppet dodge!"Maple yelled. Shuppet started to float around,but the absorb quickly followed him and eventually hit,letting Shuppet yell out a yelp. "Shuppet! Quickly,use Spite!"Maple ordered. Shuppet snapped towards Treek and used spite as his eyes started to glow,glaring directly at Treeko as the move landed. Maple smirked and laughed. "Though in the games this makes the pokemon's move run out or cut power points, for the sake of the roleplay this move will simply make it difficult or impossible for Treeko to use Absorb for five minutes!"Maple laughed somewhat evilly.

"Great, now Pidgey use Tackle on Treecko," Riku said happily. It seemed as if no one would attack him (), so he had alot of hope that Maple and him would win this battle.

Kabuto sped infront of the attack. "Protect!" Locke said as the barrier blocked the gust. "Quick shift to offence! Aqua Jet on Pidgey!" He added as water engulfed Kabuto and it rocketed towards pidgey

Pidgey had was hurt from the attack made by Kabuto. "Come on Pidgey, let's try our best!" Riku said. "Ok now Pidgey use tackle on Kabuto!" Riku shouted.

Maple stuck out his tongue playfully as Shuppet did the same,the two smiling in union as pokemon and trainer. "This time let's aim for Treeko. Let's use Night Shade on Treeko,and have no regret at it!"Maple smiled as she pointed at Treeko. Shuppet floated up and used Night Shade,the dark trype attack spreading and heading straight to Treeko as a direct attack. Maple couldn't stop hopping out of excitement. This battle was getting intense. Like always he completely forgot about his small weakness considering physical limits.As he jumped he suddenly felt a tug on his heart. He growled to himself as he stopped his small dance of excitement and got his hands to his chest,letting his heartbeat return to its normal,peaceful pace. He scolded himself mentally. He should pay more attention. This would only make him look weaker infront of enemies. Shuppet glanced down at Maple and squeaked. Maple blinked a few times and felt his face,where he felt the warm liquid known as blood fell from his nose. "Aw dammit."Maple cursed as he took out a tissue from his pocket and quickly covered his nose. "Don't get distracted,Shuppet!"

"Okay so I guess it's my turn!" Riku said. "Pidgey, use gust on treecko again!" Riku shouted. He was confident that he and Overcomer would win this battle. Even if they loss, his happiness would have never gone away from him. "We can do this Overcomer!" Riku said happily.

"Kabuto! Protect Treeko once more!" Locke exclaimed.

 

Kabuto used its newly gained speed to swiftly block the gust again.

 

"With Kabuto's Boosted speed your attacks on Treeko are gonna be blocked you know. Why not try a different tact- huh?"

 

 

Sitting at a nearby table was a man who had begun to clap. "Alright alright..i think thats enough battling for one day." He said. Upon closer inspection of the man the four trainers could recognize the face of Professor Sycamore "your journey will go nowhere if you 4 keep up this stale mate...non?"

"OH MY GOSH IS THAT PROFESSOR SYCAMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!" Riku said with excitement. "Hi my name is Riku John, I received a letter from you, and I can't wait to start my journey. How was your day, mine was fine but everyday is fine for me, I mean like I am happy all the time, so of course everyday should be fine, but there was this one time where I couldn't walk but that's a story for another day. OMG! Wait did you see me fight?! If it wasn't for Kabuto I would have won, but protect is a good move. *gasp*," Riku said non-stop. "Anywho, Hi Professor Sycamore," Riku said happily.

Maple glanced at the young man as Shuppet floated to his side. So this was the professor. The same that had gotten them all together and offered them the chance of a journey. Maple got the tissue away as he picked up his skateboard,resting it against his hip and under his arm as he got his other hand on his hip,staring at the professor almost not impressed. But of course it was only outer appearance. Because on the inside he was stoked. "So you're the guy? You obviously heard of Shuppet's and I 's amazing teamwork then! Our greatness must've reached your ears of how awesome we are,so I do give you my presence as a gift~ if you were watching us fight then you have obviously just seen a glimpse of Kalos' rising pokemon master!"Maple said as he waved his hand slightly,Shuppet chirping along as it floated besides Maple. He then scowled a bit as he glanced at the professor. "But we're a pretty diverse group aren't we. Why us in specific?"Maple couldn't help but ask.

Rin brought Treecko back into her pokeball, pulling her hood over her head, and looking at the Professor. She bowed slightly to him.

"I am Rin Kozakura." she introduced.
