As the sun began to rise over the ocean, a ship was finally about to finish a three day journey. This ship, packed with Pokemon trainers, was heading towards a small island far from any of the regions that the passengers arrived from. It had gone between these regions to pick up a number of trainers, and was finally nearing Anima Island. Many of the trainers had grown anxious, having to wait for so long...

May

May peered over the rail of the ship, trying to see if she could spot any land at all. Ugh... It's been three days now. When will we arrive? I can't wait to finally get in some battles... I can't believe that they banned battles on the ship. She strained her eyes, and leaned in a bit closer. She could barely spot what appeared to be land in the distance. At this same time, an announcement came over a speaker:

"Attention passengers. We're nearing Anima Island. We will arrive at Portus City in roughly half an hour."

May jolted upwards, excited that the news had finally arrived. "Yes!" She shouted aloud. "Time to win this tournament!" She'd waited a month after receiving her invitation for this moment. She was told she could only bring three Pokemon with, which disappointed her. However, she'd spent that entire month training Blaziken, Gardevoir, and Tentacruel to be the best Pokemon she'd ever used. Now, it was time to put that training to the test.

Silver

Silver stayed calm after the announcement. He seemed to not care too much, but inside, he was beginning to get excited. Alright, team... It's time to see how much we've grown ever since that day at the Pokemon League... Silver was determined to win. He didn't want to win for the glory, or to put losers in their place like he'd originally acted. He wanted to grow closer to his Pokemon, and show the bonds that they'd formed. After spending years training in Kanto, he believed he was finally ready to take on a bigger challenge.

Lyra

As the ship sailed closer to Anima Island, Lyra began to get ever more nervous. Her conscience told her to enter the Tournament, but she was still afraid of losing terribly and being the fool. She looked around at trainers. Some had confident faces, while others seemed unsure. She knew she had to trust herself to do as best she could. The announcement only panicked her more. The only time Lyra is ever timid is when battling or anything else like that. It's fine when others do it, but when it includes her in someway, she panics.

Rosa

Being a Pokemon teacher, Rosa knew the basics. Rosa tends to forget sometimes, but she's pretty fine. Many trainers look up to her, since she's completed the Unova League. She noticed someone who was uneasy. It was Lyra. Lyra glanced at Rosa, knowing her skill. In an attempt to avoid scaring Lyra, the Pokemon teacher turned, to instead look at Anima Island.

Nate smiled excited when he heard the announcement. Immediatly he ran to the front of the boat and stared at it intently "Yes! Finnally! Its Time to show the world what Im made of!" He shouted. Eventually his Lucario caught up to him and tried to pull him off of the railing so he wouldnt fall off.

Ethan sighed as he watched Nate be, in his opinion a jittery moron. "I know the tournament is exciting and all but seriously! He can tone it down a bit." He explained.

Calem smiled. "Yeah I guess your right but there is just something about the way some of the trainers relate to their pokemon. Its quite Interesting" he replied as he looked up in the air at his Talonflame. Gogoat was laying down behind him bathing in the sun. Meanwhile Greninja perched itself as high up on the boat as it could just watching.

Ethan looked at Calem. "And you are?"

"My name is Calem. Im a trainer from Kalos." He stretched out his hand

"Im Ethan from Johto." He shook Calems hand.

"Well ive wasted enough of your time so good luck, Ethan." Said Calem with a smile as he and Gogoat headed off.

~Leaf~

Leaf smiled some when she knew they were landing towards land. Her Clefable smiled as well, knowing they were towards land. Leaf stood up and got to the side of the ship, her and Clefable looking at the waves below them."I can't wait, we are almost there!" Leaf said with a smile.

"Cleffa!" Clefable said with a smile.

Hilda

Hilda stood over the railing of the boat, her hand supporting her head while the other tossed a Pokeball up and down like a metronome. She looked back and forth from the endless waves of the sea and to the other trainers that were mingling with their Pokemon on other parts of the ship. Part of her felt that it was right to go and talk to these other kids, at least to help support her own mission. But, instead, she just sighed and stared back at the water.

Hilda didn't want to deal with anyone else, at least for right now.

Brendan

Brendan dug around his bag and quadruple-checked that everything he needed was still in there. Obviously it was silly to do so right now when the boat was about to reach its destination, but he couldn't help it. All of these famous trainers, and yet what was he doing there? He had to have been good enough to get an invitation in the first place, but being surrounded by all of these champions from other regions just made him feel inferior to them.

No, no, no. Can't think negative thoughts like that. Can't go back to that way of thinking.

He shook his head, and returned to checking his bag.
