I'm the only who doesn't want a remastered soundtrack?

Recommended Posts

I understand the reasons to remaster BBS and Coded because of the console change, but KH2 has a perfect soundtrack.

Actually, Birth by Sleep OST has about the same quality of all the others home console chapters xD And anyway, trust me, you will enjoy the hell out of those remasters :D

I really hope so! :D

They are not even full-fledged remasters, everything was left the way it was save for the Strings that have been replaced with real Orchestral Strings, then the mixing process have been remade by one of the best sound engineer in Japan xD

I do wish though they gave us an option to toggle between soundtracks, I know they have the space and PS3 can still play the sequenced tracks in it's Cell SPE.

Hm yeh I'm also curious about lazy aftermoons. If you want have the originals just play the original game.

Don't see that much difference anyway. It is the HD that count.

Like Yasue said, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep original sound tracks were artificial. There aren't any real instruments in the old OST.

The new one will feature REAL instruments... So, yes. It will feel even better.

I'm pretty sure more than just the strings were rerecorded, but even so, they're still full-fledged remasters because that's what a remaster does: updates what needs to be updated.

They only added strings as far as I know, I could be wrong, but anyway I just meant the tracks are not fully remastered like the other times, this time around xD

I hope there is no drastic changes to Lazy Afternoons. That song was my favorite out of the entire game.

The saxophone in that track was actually a live recording by one of the music programmers.

A lot of KH2s cinematic drums where actually recorded live.

I love what they did with Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMIX's soundtrack, but after listening to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LD10-ijIOII

I just can't the stand the thought of listening to it differently.

I mean, will it still feel the same?

I totally feel ya man as I always say:If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Especially with KH2 as there is really nothing to remix there as the tracks have aged much better than KH1

And inb4 people eat me for this:just because a track is remixed doesn't mean it's instantly better than the original

For example:I personally still prefer the original rendition of One-Winged Angel from FFVII over every other remix of it out there

Remastered soundtracks are more pleasing to the ears in my opinion,so I'm glad they are remastering the soundtrack of KH2.But I can agree that some remastered music are not as good as their original counterparts like Fleeting dreams in FFX/X-2 HD remaster or the Seymour battle theme, but I'm not worry, they did a great job with 1.5' soundtrack

Instead of forcing to listen to their remastered versions which I'm sure they're proud of and some people will eventually warm up to, they should have given us and option to choose between the remastered or the original versions of the music. They should have done this with 1.5 as well.

Since the sequenced music was still in 1.5. Yep the BGMs and Samples were still in the game and weren't used at all. gg Square

and that's a negitive thing why? You should say "left unused" so it doesn't confuse people.

Because some people like options and listen to the original music. The only is that they could have made it a user choice. That's the point of the whole thread to begin with. Someone prefers the original to the remaster and wish Square could give him/her an option

It wouldn't matter anyway with the .BMGs and WDs because the ps3 can't read them. Plus I don't think they play sequenced tracks. Can't always have every feature. No graphic options for better quality or performance. Can't please everyone.

Cell SPE can play sequenced tracks. And if they went the streamed route for the original music they can grab high quality tracks from their PCM Soundtrack releases.

Yeah but you were talking about the BGMs and WDs as if they can be used. Which they can't. Anyway, Should'a, Could'a, Would'a.
