Platinum Games making Legend of Korra game

Recommended Posts

Platinum Games are working on a download-only Legend of Korra game for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. It'll be a 3rd person combat game. A 3DS version is also in development however it will be developed by Webfoot Technologies and will be a turn-based strategy game.

The story will be written by Korra writer Tim Hendrick and will be set in between Book 2 and Book 3 of the show.

It'll be out this Fall/Autumn and Activision are publishing it.

That would actually be a really neat idea.

Think about it, bending battles against each other. Like Tekken/Streetfighter. I'd pre-order that in a hurry. I hope this game has a seperate "Pro-bending" mode that has those classic characters.

Cheers,

Then shouldn't Square Enix make a Avatar Dissidia?

Avatar world in Kh3

and Didn't webfoot make those legacy of goku games for the gameboy? A avatar version of that would be amazing.

Yep they did. They made a few Dragonball games on the Gameboy Advance

Oh, great. Platinum Games is a great development team, but really? Legend of Korra? The unnecessary continuation of a once amazing show? They should be given something better to work with, like Devil May Cry.I feel their potential would be wasted on a LoK game.

>Not on the Wii U>3DS is probably a downgrade, despite of it being different from the console versionsBut very nice a game is being made. I'll just watch walkthroughs.

Not really a big loss and I won't care if a Wii U version was announced

Anyway, regardless of Platinum games developing it or not,the game was announced kinda way too late with only few months before release, that in most cases means two things:either the game is quick cash grap by Nickolodean to capitalize on the success of the show and slap the name of a popular developer on it,or there isn't much faith in it to begin with

And since Platinum Games's current priorities are Scalebound and Bayonetta 2,I really don't expect this game to be anything but a quick cash grab and I doubt big directors in Platinum like Kamiya are directing it or involved that much in it

I'll pass even if there was a Wii U version of it

Or it could be because Book 3 airs this Friday so they are essentially announcing the game now. That's also a possibility.

Plus, it's a download-only title so it's hardly like the project is this huge AAA scale game by the sounds of it. Think, much better than a mobile game but much smaller than a huge retail title. I'm sure it'll be a game that won't be pricing for more than $15. It doesn't sound like a quick cash grab but then again other than a few screens we haven't seen the game in action to even warrant an opinion.
