There must be a reason for the presence of the Master Keeper on Destiny Islands

Recommended Posts

I get the feeling that the Master Keeper is somewhat like the Buster Sword from the Final Fantasy 7 series, both being passed down from master to apprentice. For example:

Buster Sword: Angeal (original owner) goes to: Zack (Angeal's apprentice) goes to: Cloud (who becomes its final wielder).

Master Keeper: Eraqus (original owner) goes to Aqua (Eraqus' apprentice) goes to: Sora (who is it's current finder).

I was searching on Deviantart when suddenly this appears:

And I was like.... Hey.... What if this is how the Master Keeper arrived Destiny Islands?!  :O

Of course, this is not real but this is a good explanation of the Master Keeper on Destiny Islands.... What if Aqua gave up to the Darkness and she sends the Master Keeper on the Dark Margin's Ocean to be found for someone for help, remember when Kairi sent a Letter to Sora on the Destiny Islands' Ocean and at the end of KH2, Riku found this letter arriving the Dark Margin and then they read it.... So this could be a possible explanation of this Keyblade arriving the Destiny Islands, I mean we don't know anything about what happened to Aqua all those years in the RoD except she ended up in Castle of Dreams covered by the Darkness, maybe she can't do anything and then she left the last hope on the Ocean for someone in the future, find this last hope...  <3

OMG Thanks for clearing that up for me. I have been confused on how the master keeper got to Destiny Islands. You know what, I think that this is most likely going to happen in KH3. xD

Purely symbolic.Nomura himself :

Nomura: In this stage of testing he can transform it. By the way, in the trailer, Sora picks up the Keyblade belonging to Master Eraqus that Aqua had. We put that together in order to remind you of the story of KHIII, as this time we weren't able to prepare a scene that would show you a portion of the drama.

I believe you. If Nomura siad this is symbolic then it's symbolic then, but what's the symbolic references that he's talking about. Is it referring to the keyblade war or other things that are supposed to be happening in KH3?

Prolly just a reminder of the current plot and how Sora needs to save all these people . ( my guess)

It's most likely a placeholder hint until they either find a place for it in the story or just axe it if they didn't need it

So you mean this is not a part of the KH3 Story?

Probably not.

I think that the Destiny Islands and wherever aqua is/ending of kh2(it has a name which i forgot.) are connected just because they are literally opposites of each other. Maybe the keyblade got there in the same way the bottle kairi threw into the ocean got to sora.

Sorry if they were already connected in a game and i look like an idiot

It's called The Realm of Darkness. It's the place that Heartless originate from. And the series never actually states or shows that Destiny Islands is connected to the RoD in any way besides the letter somehow reaching there, so nah, you're not missing anything.

The person who made that wasted SO much time because it was already confirmed by Nomura that it didn't mean anything lmao x D

Sora won't actually find it in KH3 (not like that, anyways.); Nomura said so himself that it wasn't a real scene that's going to be in the game.

I can't believe that they just used Erequs Keyblade ''just to test it'' If they want it to test it or something like that they would have use the Kingdom Key, that would make more sense.

Destiny Island and the Realm of Darkness have a connection with each other, Kairi's letter that she throw in the sea at Destiny Island also washed ashore in "The Realm Of Darkness'

So why can it not be the other way. (But then with a Keyblade)

Well, I'm sure the Master Keeper will have an importance in the story.  It may be symbolic in the teaser, but the fact that Young Eraqus is in the second trailer indicates that there's more to the Master Keeper in the final chapter of the Xehanort Saga that meets the eye.  We'll have to wait and see for what happens. :3

I think that Sora picking up the Master Keeper was just a conceptual video that Square Enix wanted to show during the premiere trailer at E3 2013. It may or may not be connected to the story. I guess we will find out once KH3 is released
