Sanya was next to Griver before the entire room shifted. She sighed. "So, whacha want me to do, Griver?" She asked, a few of her familiars orbiting around her. she petted a few, before finally choosing Rai. Scale-like spikes appeared above her ears, and lightning starts to emanate from her, like one of those cool electro sphree thingies.

"Help, or hamper?"

Jasper

Jasper nearly shouted out a few choice curses when the walls began to move, isolating him from the others.As he pondered what Griever had said, he realized something. He only said they couldn't directly harm the walls, and indirectly harm him, which meant they were allowed to do just the opposite if they wanted. His confidence returning, Jasper rolled up one of his sleeves and placed his hand on his Pulse Boots tattoo, summoning them. He then used them to charge ahead, and since the walls were so close together, he was able to kick off of them in between pulses, giving him continuous movement. This allowed him to go through the tight windy corridors at incredible speeds. Hopefully he'd be able to use that speed to draw the Kamyn's attention to him, allowing his allies to go for the keys.

Amber

Amber expected for something something to go wrong once they entered the hallway, so she wasn't' that upset or surprised. In fact, she was glad that, as far as she could tell, no one had been hurt yet. What she should do next seemed simple enough. Go through the corridors and find at least one of her allies as soon as she could. After all, they had strength in numbers, and right now, strength was imperative. Amber rushed down the hallways, hoping she'd run into one of the other climbers soon.

The Doctor nodded, having heard Cathos' voice. Meeting up was wise, it would give them a better chance of finding the keys and overcoming obstacles. The Doctor kept hold of his spear, and started down the route Cathos had planned out. It would have been faster had he ridden John, but the corridor was simply too cramped for the Vukodlak.

~~~~
Kinzoku smiled slightly. Easy peasy. She had been working alone for a long time. She kept her metal blades hovering around her as she skipped down her corridor, humming as she went. If she ran into someone, all the better she supposed. Then again, her curse may activate if she ran into somebody. So maybe solo was the best way to run this course.
Kamyn
There was silence as the smoke cleared. The brutal explosion has taken its toll on the unknown planet's surface.
"What is it you want?"
Adriev's voice felt somewhat broken. And as the smoke cleared, a scar showed across his cheek.
"What, Ryu, do you hope to accomplish by killing me? A better life? A better world? Do you think I'm truly a monster that wishes to destroy humanity's happiness?"
There was something different about Adriev, but he didn't let onto it in the way he spoke. Nonetheless it was very clear to Ryu...
his nanomachine signature....
was nonexistant.
"Explain the meaning of this! Adreiv!" Ryu shouted in anger. The intense emotion he felt slowly diminished his will to continue fighting the Kaymn. "I thought you were a god under the influence of nanomachines!" Ryu shouted. The thoughts and theories swarming his head all screamed out for answers as he stared at Adreiv in the face. Could he be the same as Ryu? Could he have done the same? To shed his human flesh and to become....
A true god....
"A god under the influence of nanomachines?" Adriev smiled a soft smile.
"I have always been a man, Ryu. A man who wished the best for humanity. I was able to make use of nanomachines because they were available, but I was never so intrinsically tied to them. Let us just talk, then Ryu. As two humans."
He took several casual steps towards Ryu.
"So, as a human, what is it you wish from me? From nanomachines? From this whole planet?"
Platinum/Silver/Gold
(I'll be running most of your individual trials for Griver. So bear with me, this may be a lot of stuff to manage. If  I miss anyone, I apologize. Just say so an I'll put you in)
Drale
Drale faced down a lengthy, thin hallway. At the far end was a single button with a small light above it currently turned off. Surely it was one of the switches....
Just then the hallway began to rotate. The walls became floors, then walls, then ceilings, and back around.... faster and faster. On top of that it start to inch smaller and smaller...
the hallway was closing.
And if Drale didn't rush down the shrinking, spinning hallway to the switch, he was about to be crushed
Cornelius/Doctor Pellinore
As the room split into it's various segments, Cornelius and the Doctor found themselves encased in the same cage. Then, rising out of the ground before them, was a light switch and a small symbol of two swords clashing...
The good news was they had found a switch.
The bad news was that the way to switch it open was through spilling some blood...
Amber
Amber found herself in a large cubic-space after the huge hallway had split them apart. Before her sat a singe hook attached to a chain and several huge black barrels. The was a silent sense of oddity, but the silence didn't last long.
Each of the barrels soon all exploded, seemingly from sort of intense internal pressure, and sent their contents; some sort of pitch-black oil, everywhere. The floor, the ceiling, the walls... even Amber was slightly covered in it.
Then the lit match appeared.
It materialized from the top of the room and descended slowly, so that Amber would see it... in a few moments, though, it hit the floors, and the fire sparked. It began in the center of the room, but began to spread fast. The material of the walls was hardened, but not impossible to hold onto or hook something into.
Either way, Amber would have to think fast before she was barbequed.
Sandrew/Fairy
Sandrew and Fairy found themselves pushed together as the room shifted, and then realized their surroundings were that of a fairly large cubic room. They both now stood together in the center of the room. In one of the far walls was a niche that contained a small card with a symbol of a key on it... unfortunately it was behind a blue-tinted dispersal field that wouldn't let matter pass through... this must have been what Griver meant with activating the switches.
They didn't have much time to think about that though, as immediately the ground rose around them, forming small humanoid shaped entities that looked to be make os a softer metal. There seemed to be over 20 within a few seconds, and in a moment they all charged Sandrew and Fairy, strange electric noises emanating from them as they raised fists and built-in blades and struck at the pair in the center...
The two people who thought the least of their combat abilities were about to have to prove otherwise or die for it.
Kinzoku
As Kinzoku walked down the hallway she could feel the increasing heat coming from a corner up ahead...
Upon turning it she found quite the trial:
The entire bottom floor area had been converted to magma; bubbling, shifting, and feeling like 1000 degrees. On the other side of the room was a button with an attached light that was currently unlit... the switch that she was supposed to get to.
The only way there was through a sort of obstacle course. There were several platforms no wide than two feet that were moving around on their own in midair. They were spaced out that you would need to make a solid jump between each, on top of them moving. Beyond that there was a thin, long platform with two huge rocked flanking it on either side... stationary but... somehow still menacing as if they may move at any time. Finally from that platform to the one with the switch, various spheres of magma and flame shot from the ground at all times, requiring a ridiculous amount of coordination and reflex to dodge while making the last jump.
So Kinzoku had her work cut out...
Ferro
Ferro walked down his separate hallway into a medium sized room. As he did, all his weapons shot off from his possession into the center of room. Material from the walls then moved toward the weapons and encased them. When it finally separated Ferro could see that all his weapons had been given humanoid forms, and while the weapons themselves sat at the core of each one, they wielded copies of their weapon forms.
The only thing was, all of their bodies were controlled by something other than them. They all rushed Ferro and attacked him in one simultaneous first strike... their new bodies... or cases, acting on their own.
There was a switch button on the ceiling, but it was currently sealed off. Ferro would have to fight his weapons to get it... to get out at all.
Emert/Jasper
As the room split into it's individual sections, Emert and Jasper found themselves on two sides of a pane of a thick pane of an unbreakable glass-like material. On both sides they stood in medium-sized rooms. A single enemy appeared before each. They were large brutish humanoid metallic beings, and they looked like they could serve a beatdown. They both began hulking towards the two.
On the walls of both rooms a diagram helped to explain the rules of the challenge they now faced; beating an enemy would create two more in the other persons room. This would keep growing larger until one of the two fell in battle (not necessarily dead but badly wounded) and the other person would receive the sealed box that contained the key card that would open when its corresponding switch was activated.
They could not speak between the two rooms, and there was no time to coordinate a plan.
The two hulking figures charged their respective opponents and brought their fists down brutally towards them...
Varion
Varion was placed in a fairly small room. Monitors of all the other rooms were surrounding him. Each one had a button attached to it. There was a single light in the center of the room. It seemed like hitting any of the buttons would activate the switch. As the instructions above the monitor explained though, while it would activate the switch and open up a key for someone, it would also increase the difficulty in the corresponding room to the button he pressed and would make it almost impossible for those people to finish their tasks. He had the pick of any of the other trials he wished (just look above for the pairs and situations).
Time to choose.
Tristan
Tristan had the smallest room of all. He was in a room with nothing but a table and three vials atop it. Each one was labelled- the one of the left was labelled "Medicinal" the one in the middle labelled "Intoxicating", and the one of the right labelled "Deadly". On the other side of the table was a sealed wall with a box on the other side containing one of the keys.
He had to make the correct choice and choice which to drink out of the Medicinal, Intoxicating, and Deadly labelled vials. Perhaps there was something that may help him to choose... some clue or tip...
Sanya/Efenton
In the moment that the room was split up by Griver, Sanya and Efenton were teleported away by the Evraius's internal systems.
"Reactor over-burdened. Use by captain over-bearing the reactor system. High-level nanomachine use must be restricted." A voice spoke over the loud speaker to them.
"Declare which of current two subjects will relinquish high level nanomachine use."
So now it was just an empty room... Sanya and Efenton...
and a decision.
Cathos
Cathos barely had time to recognize his new surroundings when something clamped around his leg. A nanomachine-based weight, approximating 50 pounds, and getting larger, had attached itself to his ankle. Before him, on the far side of the wall, was a box with one of the keys in it.
Between him and the key was what was difficult. First there was a leap over spinning razorblades, then 7 pendulums swinging in various directions, perfectly timed so that they never intersected, and then an over-hung rocky cieling that would need to be climbed over a large vat of acid....
All with a weight of ever-increasing size attached to his leg....
Sensing the needlessness to fight, Ryu did not hesitate as Adreiv took steps towards him. "Actually, the truth is..." Ryu trailed off. He was ignorant of the true consequences of the power he activated until Adreiv said that one word.... Human. "This power I've acquired... Quantum, is too stressing to activate for a mortal body. In order to activate such a unique power, I must shed my human flesh and become one with the Quantum spectrum. As I stand before you, I am just a gathering form of particles of light in a solid form. I cannot revert," Ryu explained. He looked at his hands. His body was a flashy array of lights almost in comparison to a star. He knew the nano machines he once used were gone as well. He looked up.
"I do believe you've got it backwards. It is you, who wants to capture me. Adreiv, I am no longer human. Furthermore, I am no longer Kaymn. There isn't anything I want from you for my benefit. However, I do believe it is fit for the humans of present time to find out what happened to past Earth," Ryu declared.
"Spinning, spinning, spinning. Ceiling is closing down on me. Not good, not good at all." Drale thought to himself as looked at the rotating hallway, "This is NOT how I want to die. I want my death to have some... flair to it! Now, how am I even going to do this? Well, since I can't use my shadow in here... I guess I'm going to have to run for it." his thoughts continued as he started running down the hallway. "I just hope I'm not alone too long. Or else he might show up again." he thought, hoping that wouldn't happen. (This brings up a question. He can't directly use his shadows on the hallway, but how can he traverse it? I'm not too sure.)
Looking around the small room he now found himself within Tristan began to exam the room very carefully "This place is pretty tight more then likely a response to my Strengthening magic or i mean my nanomachines ability Griver must of noticed i dont have much patiences for following a Kamyn's rules when he split me from the others either that or just complete dumb luck on his side" Looking around the room still Tristan's eyes land on the box which contained one of the key's and the three vials "Huh looks like they gave me a complicated one this time all right lets take a look" walking towards the vials Tristan read the three labels "So we have Medicinal, Intoxicating and Deadly well so far any tests the Kamyn's have set have been ones that involve a sacrifice in some form but there would near always be a way to avoid certain death so if i had to guess anything here I'd say drinking the deadly is pretty much a sacrifice card for someone even if it was i could always focus my fire nano's to burn out the content i drink that could damage my body so I'm not overly worried if i do drink it after that the medicinal to much of an easy route its probably there as the dud to trick who ever is doing this test in other words me after that we have the intoxicating now by default its all that's left but i wonder..." picking up the intoxicating vial Tristan begins to stare at the contents "Hum wonder if this is an Alcohol or a weak Poison either one could intoxicate you in its own way Griver isn't trying to get me drunk is he?"
Sanya turned to look at Efenton.
"Relinquish nanite control until the system can work again." Sanya said. "Please."
She couldn't be limited again. Not with Rai, Serafine...not with her friends free. She couldn't lose them and all they had now. And her voice had changed. Far from emotionless, she looked at Efenton, finally, with true feeling. "Please. Don't put shackles on my friends."
Sanya found something to fight for. The AI that had helped her, that had made her live and fight. They saw a true way to live, but Sanya had been in the wrong time. And now, she knew what to do. And not even for a moment could she lose her power.
"What do you wish?" Sanya asked. She didn't want to lie, and hoped...no, Sanya prayed that she would not be forced to lie. A life of lies and a life of nothing had led her here. Sighing softly, she felt her familiars roll in turmoil, Zero and Rai siding with Serafine on doing there right thing while the rest cried to lie. They didn't want to lose their freedom.
Sanya knew their feelings.
The Doctor eyed Cornelius. The young man seemed respectable enough. Hopefully first impressions were correct here. "Before we go through with the whole blood thing, would you terribly mind confirming my suspicions? I heard mentions of nanomachines recently, and after thinking back upon the evidence shown by previous exploits on the mountain, I've come to wonder if that is the truth behind our magic. I mean, is our magic truly simply nanomachines?" The Doctor asked, hoping that the boy wasn't a dimwit and knew the answer. Then the Doctor thought of something. He pulled out a dissecting knife, and held out his empty palm. Warthrop then offered the knife to Cornelius. "Also, would you mind terribly cutting my palm? All they truly want is for us to shed each other's blood, so my solution is an easy one with no harsh feelings."~~~~Kinzoku bit her lip as she looked at the course. Interesting. It should be an easy enough task though. Kinzoku stretched out all of her ingots into a bridge just long enough to cross the gap. Unfortunately, it was about the width of a balance beam considering she'd had to make it rather thick to protect from the heat and keep it from melting underneath her feet. Kinzoku began to walk slowly and cautiously across her metal beam.
Cornelius, who had been lost in thought, considered the Doctor's hypothesis.
"Plausible, I suppose." He answered the first question. "Though if true, the implications would be astounding. Like, what kind of interface do the Nantes use for use to manipulate them? What else is made of Nantes?"
For a moment, he looked at offered knife, then shrugged and took it.
"Worth a try." He said, strategically and cleanly cutting the Doctor's hand.
He produced a cloth from a pocket and cleaned the knife and handed back to the Doctor.
"I am will to further test this hypothesis." Cornelius said, offering his own hand for cutting.
"And what then?" Adriev looked off at the strange sun this unknown planet. "Would they be better people? Would they love more? Would they make peace more easily?"
Adriev paced away a few steps.
"It is interesting to hear about Quantum. Truly, it's quite miraculous. I am, myself a scientist so I find it fascinating."
He turned back.
"But don't you also see how dangerous it is?" Any power that strong? Imagine it getting into the wrong hands..."
Platinum/Silver/Gold
Drale
(Basically have Drale run and face everything that comes his way.)
As he ran, though, a huge spectral being, which was now known to be a collection of nanomachines creating a particle field, dropped into the hallway before him, blocking his path. It lunged towards him and swung a punch directly at his torso as the hallway spun ever faster...
Cornelius/Doctor Pellinore
The blood spilled onto floor from the Doctor's hand....
but nothing happened.
Looks like the trial wanted something more....
Sandrew/Fairy
Two of the humanoid creatures then reached Sandrew, slashing viciously at him in sync with blade-arms, as the rest rushed towards the two.
Sandrew was going to have to act, as tired and worn out as he was...
or they would both never make it out of this chamber....
Kinzoku
As she walked slowly across the room though, part of the wall deformed into a cubic pendulum and swung down viciously and without warning toward her...
Tristan
The liquid in the vials bubbled and shifted in their vials.
The had to be some right answer here... some way to pass the test. Something he may have been missing...
Medicinal. Intoxicating. Deadly.
Which one could it be?
The Doctor watched as the blood dripped to the floor. Nothing. Drat. So much for the easy way. The Doctor gave Cornelius another look. He looked familiar. Yes, those were the features of the Bastion clan. Quite the bunch, very intelligent. And Damian was also rather good at table tennis ( a little tidbit he'd picked up from a few dinner parties). Aside from that, the Doctor had had several interactions with the family before they met their abrupt end. The Doctor looked directly in Cornelius' eyes. Yes, all was clear now. This boy was not just here for adventure or glory, like several others of the expedition, but for vengeance. In his head, the Doctor formed a plan. Hopefully this would work much better. "No you stupid boy, I'll not cut you!" The Doctor said, his tone cross. He grabbed his knife back and placed it back into his bag. The Doctor looked back to Cornelius. "We need not both be harmed, one must remain untouched to be seen as the winner. Can't you see!" At this point, the Doctor looked deep into Cornelius' eyes, as if just realizing something. "Oh wait, you're of the Bastions are you not? What a ridiculous bunch they were. Their feats were nothing but common sense to any educated man, and I've heard rumors that they stole data from other more respectable scholars. Typical glory hogs. They deserved the end they got." The Doctor continued, berating and insulting the boy's family. He could only hope that Cornelius would get the idea. Even if the boy didn't, he would likely respond angrily, which was the end goal anyway.
~~~~

Kinzoku was a tad surprised to see the pendulum swinging for her, and almost lost her balance. Uh-oh... She looked at the pendulum, and thought quickly. Then she realized something obvious. It was made of metal! Kinzoku put her hands together, and put most of her focus into wresting control of the metal from the AI that controlled it. Her bridge slipped a little, getting closer to the deadly hot lava. She needed to do this quick. Right before the pendulum smacked into her, Kinzoku threw her hands apart, splitting the obstacle in half. Both halves swung on either side of her. Kinzoku sighed in relief, and let the pendulum go back to it's original shape, putting her energy back into keeping the bridge up and crossing it.

Kamyn

"And what then?" Adriev looked off at the strange sun this unknown planet. "Would they be better people? Would they love more? Would they make peace more easily?"

Adriev paced away a few steps.

"It is interesting to hear about Quantum. Truly, it's quite miraculous. I am, myself a scientist so I find it fascinating."

He turned back.

"But don't you also see how dangerous it is?" Any power that strong? Imagine it getting into the wrong hands..."

Platinum/Silver/Gold

Drale

(Basically have Drale run and face everything that comes his way.)

As he ran, though, a huge spectral being, which was now known to be a collection of nanomachines creating a particle field, dropped into the hallway before him, blocking his path. It lunged towards him and swung a punch directly at his torso as the hallway spun ever faster...

Cornelius/Doctor Pellinore

The blood spilled onto floor from the Doctor's hand....

but nothing happened.

Looks like the trial wanted something more....

Sandrew/Fairy

Two of the humanoid creatures then reached Sandrew, slashing viciously at him in sync with blade-arms, as the rest rushed towards the two.

Sandrew was going to have to act, as tired and worn out as he was...

or they would both never make it out of this chamber....

Kinzoku

As she walked slowly across the room though, part of the wall deformed into a cubic pendulum and swung down viciously and without warning toward her...

Tristan

The liquid in the vials bubbled and shifted in their vials.

The had to be some right answer here... some way to pass the test. Something he may have been missing...

Medicinal. Intoxicating. Deadly.

Which one could it be?

"Aah!" Sandrew yelled, ding his best to avoid some of the slashes, he still got cut up a bit, however. "O-ow..." Sandrew muttered, deciding enough was enough. "Fine! Don't stay back!" He yelled, releasing a nearly-perfect rung of fire at the monsters, the only spot that wasn't closed was where Fairy was. He contented sending these large waves of fire at the enemies, but the toll on him he already had was obviously showing.

Cornelius's face went tight at the Doctor's belittlement of his family. He looked ready to haul off and hit Pellinore, but paused as his jaw worked.

"And to think I was looking forward to researching the nanites theory with you." He said with a scoff. "Should have known you were the charlatan my father said you were."

The Young Researcher's eyes glowed as he formed two hard light swords in his hands.

"Shall we up the amount of blood spilled, doctor?"

The Doctor could feel something fuzzy in his mind.

<Do not speak. If we are lucky, the Kamyn can't listen in.> said a female voice in the Doctor's mind. <If you need to talk, think "loudly". My friend, Cornelius, will do a double slash at shoulder height to the right.>

As the voice said, Cornelius attacked by slashing from the Doctor's right at shoulder height.

Fairy closed her eyes."Stay strong,I can heal you. Just keep fighting in the meanwhile!" She ordered. She didn't want to be mean or crude,but he had to keep them back from them. Fairy relaxed. "You'll feel better soon,I promise. I'll heal you,then you can have some food and water. But you have to end those monsters." She slowly started to heal her ally.

Jasper

Frantically, Jasper sized up the situation as he could. One of them had to go down in battle, and considering his opponent was a well respected judge, Jasper thought that sacrificing himself so that Emert could keep going by using explosion gauntlet. But then he remembered that he has his trusty staff Recompense with him. Assuming he had great respect for the man, which he did, due to Emert being one of the greatest judges in his country, Jasper should be able to heal Emret enough with recompense to keep him alive. That is, if the metal bruits didn't kill him first. Confident in his new plan of beating Emret, Jasper summoned his longsword Blighter, and unleashed a flurry of slashes at the hulking figure as it charged at him, slicing it to pieces.

Amber

The flame had hardly touched the oil when Amber activated her dark form. Suppressing her fears, Amber searched for the best place to try and avoid the flames. Using her heightened strength and agility, Amber jumped at a nearby wall, kicked off of it with her feet, and grabbed onto the chain dangling from the ceiling that had been holding the barrels before they exploded. The oil made things challenging, but Amber was able to clime the chain to ceiling. She clung to the sturdy linking metal, trying not to think about how, other than what she was doing now, she had no idea how to avoid burning to death in this situation.
