Guest DEADACCOUNT2333 Posted August 30, 2014 "Wich is why I think its risky." He pointed to Tristans sword. "I don't know if that will work on my father... as you heard as well from the recording...he can mess with our minds with the machines..."
Sora's Baby 729 Posted August 30, 2014 "I see that point but,you can't just turn off a thing people need to live. Not just that, but how do you know you can turn it back on? Then what will happen? Humans need 'magic',you can't just get rid of it. I won't fight the group on this but...taking such a huge risk should be a last choice..." She said laying her head on the wall. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted August 30, 2014 Sanya went up to Ferro. "Your friends are Artificial Intelligence.assets. Serafine, Rai...all of my familiars are AI." She turned to the others. "You know the truth. But you know...destroying them is a horrible idea." She crosses her arms, eyes piercing them all. "The second option doesn't just mean the end of the nanomachines. It means the end of my familiars. Of Ferro's AI. Of the Doctor's menagerie of animals." She rose from the ground and moved towards the door. "Do remember what the ramifications are. And I will only observe." For now.
Pretium 234 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) Although he had been conscious for a while, Apollo remained on the ground. He appeared to be asleep throughout the whole ordeal, but he was very much awake. And very confused. But amidst much confusion, he had a few revelations. [Magic.. there is no magic.. no Kamyn.. it's all just.. ] He sat up slowly. "If the reactors are shut off, so will all mag-.. the nanobots. So, that would mean that my eyes.. my sight" He raised a hand and clutched his blindfold over his left eye. "So be it, father.. I will go the distance." He removed his hand and stood to his feet quickly all in one motion. "I don't know what nanobots or spaceships are. But, for now it doesn't matter. [What am I saying?? All of history as I know has just been a lie!! Of course it matters..] He thought, frustrated. But he knew there was no time to wallow. Action had to be taken. Once Adriev is taken down.. humanity here will be saved.... right?" He looked at Efenton as he finished his sentence. There was an uncertainty in his voice. Wolf on the Run 391 Posted August 30, 2014 looking to Efenton Tristan began to wonder "Efenton how can we know for sure the machine that turns off the Nanomachines will even work on Adriev if he's been the one incharge of the room that can turn on and off the nanomachines for all these years who's to say as a measure to make sure encase any of the Kamyn betrayed him that he didn't make his nanomachines self dependent compared to everyone else's who need the reactor to function if we turn off that reactor we could be pointing ourselves to our own demise and as for my sword..." a smirk filled Tristan's face "You dont need to worry it will work on Adriev i wasn't around when it was forged nor was any other living person who's ever come across it in fact the truth is this sword was found here on this ship it was studied by a number of different elders and knowledgeable men and from all there studies on this sword it was discovered this blade is made of an unknown substance and it holds no traces of any substance in it that would be found in mag... i mean nanomachines also this sword was in the location of a number of the previous Kamyn disasters and when it was found it the wrecked it was discovered anything within a five meter radius of the sword was completely unaffected by what ever disaster the kamyn caused"
Guest DEADACCOUNT2333 Posted August 30, 2014 He looked at the boy. "I don't know what gives true peace. As the recording showed, I am only human. Filled with nano machines that keep my aging away for what feels like eons... And if you're hated all the time, discovering true peace is near impossible...like humanity, I can only hope." He thought about that last phrase. "Maybe if we shut down the reactor, we could stop the preservative nanites in our bodies. If anything, it could possibly make us rapidly age as our bodies revert, killing us. But...I'm not sure...if that would work..."
Josuke Higashikata 2,141 Posted August 30, 2014 "And if shutting down the reactors only work on you, or all the other Kaymn except Adriev... we have a problem. Because Adriev is far too smart to die that easily. He almost certainly has a back-up plan. Or two. So, if we do shut down the reactors, we have to prepare for the worst to happen." Drale cautioned, upon hearing what Efton said.
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted August 30, 2014 The Doctor clucked his tongue in disapprovement. He flipped to a new page, and the Ciful flew into existence. It hovered, beating it's wings hard. Of course, Jack (Jack Kearns had been a despicable insect of a man, and the giant insect reminded the Doctor of him) was waiting for the command. The Doctor smiled. In theory, this attack would work much better. The nanomachines made it difficult to attack it with anything physical. Warthrop ordered Jack to spit at the golem. Which the Ciful did, spitting a large glob of it's saliva at the golem's torso. An attack from any other creatures would be seen as so ineffective to the point of being ridiculous. But Ciful saliva was an extremely high grade adhesive, the best stuff one could obtain without magic. In theory, the saliva would stick to the floating machines, and harden, sticking them together. "If you could my metallic friend." The Doctor gestured towards the golem. He wanted Kinzoku to to attack it while it was stuck together. Kinzoku smiled and nodded. She began hammering the golem with her cylinders, creating more, to the point that there was an eight cylinder barrage on the golem.
Ultimus Grid 546 Posted August 31, 2014 Flying around, Griver lands to where he was instructed. Looking around, he sees no one has arrived yet. Walking over to a nearby boulder, he sits down and figures to wait. Crossing arms and legs, Griver thinks: This has been a disappointing ordeal so far. Not taking down one traitor, unable to bring down another, or wiping out interlopers. One frustration after the next. Closing his eyes, he thinks: I need to kill someone to be relieved of this frustration. Something I will happily exercise when whoever is left comes.
MDSVeritas 299 Posted September 1, 2014 Platinum/Silver/Gold "Efenton." Adriev's voice entered his son's mind. "Give me a status report. I'm a bit pre-occupied with dealing with a traitor, and it would seem my mental link to the teams in that room was temporarily fractured. Have you dealt with them all yet? The door forward needs to be opened soon if any are left..." Iron The golem's torso solidified and hardened, and it began to fall out of balance. Just then Kinzoku's cylinders slammed into it, followed by Emert's blasts of light, which tore through the fire attack by the golem and that split the being in half. The bottom leg area dissolved and the top head and arm area suddenly jolted back to motion. The arms shot out toward the Doctor... attempting to smash him in it's arms.... NatronSpore 92 Posted September 1, 2014 Cathos~~~~~ Cathos flung mental energy forward, forming two singularities of high density right in the path of the of rushing arms. The many tiny bits of energy that composed the arms could not resist being pulled into small, dense spheres around the points. As soon as all the particles were collected, Cathos formed two shields of mental power and surrounded the particles with them. The spheres solidified, and dropped to the ground, the golem's arms now contained within. The corner of Cathos's mouth twitched into a grin. The things you could do with the mind were so diverse. Sora's Baby 729 Posted September 2, 2014 Fairy shook her head. "What if turning it off kills everyone? Your doing the most stupid plan ever. People need 'magic' it's used daily!" She huffed. Josuke Higashikata 2,141 Posted September 2, 2014 Drale looked over towards Fairy, "What, exactly, would you suggest we do? Turning off the reactor is the only plan we have right now. I do not think that we could face Adreiv on our own, even with all of our powers combined. Turning off the reactors would even out the playing field. Even if it somehow destroys all the nanomachines, we can learn to live without magic. And if it does kill all of us, it will kill the Kaymn as well. And I doubt it will kill EVERYONE on this planet. With any luck, the people who survive will be able to rebuild. Without magic." he said, wondering just how true his statements were.
Sora's Baby 729 Posted September 2, 2014 "Maybe I would like to live?! I'm the damn healer! I can't even lift a sword?! We shouldn't jump the gun and kill everyone?!! The point is to save them?! Why am I here if not to save lives, you can't just kill them, your not better than the person you kill then! I'm not helping a bunch of people who only want to risk lives..it's crazy. I know what it's like to nearly die...." Fairy sighed.
Guest Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Sandrew stood up, silent, and quiet. He looked to the group, with a slight tear from his eyes. ..."Efenton... What would it take to make someone like me into a Kamyn strong enough to beat Adriv... but only barely so... just enough that he dies maybe a minute before I do...?" He asked. "I... all I've known is running away... but I won't run if it means I can help... tell me: what do I have to do to save everyone...?" Josuke Higashikata 2,141 Posted September 2, 2014 "First, you are still assuming that shutting off the reactors will actually kill everyone. I doubt this, myself. However, let me say this. Lets assume that we keep the reactor on. Then, lets assume we go and face Adriev. Now, I still don't think we'll be able to defeat Adriev. Lets assume that happens. That means we will all die, Adriev will continue to rule, and our sacrifices shall be pointless. However, should we turn the reactors off, and it doesn't kill everyone, it's very probable that we shall be able to defeat Adriev, assuming it effects his powers. By sheer force of numbers. If it doesn't effect Adreiv... we all die, and same scenario as before. If we turn it off, it kills almost everyone, Kaymn included, then humanity shall rebuild. If turning off the reactors disables all magic, then humans can survive, without magic. If it still kills a large portion of humanity, and disables magic, once again, we can rebuild. And I still say that turning off the reactors will kill every single person. So... unless you have a better plan, shutting off the reactors still looks like our best bet. Of course, I'm not denying that it's very dangerous, but you must understand that we can't do anything else, and we don't have a better plan." Drale said, walking over to where Fairy was. When Sandrew spoke out, he said, "Sandrew... you would die... just to save everyone?" and started to blink. A small tear formed in his eye, as he realized just how dedicated Sandrew was. He turned to Efton, and asked, "Efton, what exactly would that take? And does it have to kill Sandrew?"

Josuke Higashikata 2,141 Posted September 2, 2014 (I feel like that's a reference to something. That or just a surprisingly good simile.) "I suppose I know what that feels like. Captain Arrowguns 466 Posted September 2, 2014 Jasper scowled, not entirely sure what to do. That said, he did have a plan. Or at least 15% of one, "I agree with Fairy, the risk is too great. If we caused mass murder for the sake of society as a whole, wouldn't that make us the same as Adriev? Besides, I've got a feeling Adriev's got a contingency plan in case the reactor goes off and we all manage to survive. What we should do is have a few of us flee the mountain and spread the truth about the Kamyn. That way, even if we fail to beat Adriev, others will eventually come to try and take him out, and maybe they'll succeed. The rest of us should be concerned with taking out as many hostile Kamyn as possible, especially Adriev." Jasper turned towards Sandrew, "I think you're on the right about powering up, if it's even possible, and I'm touched that you're willing to sacrifice yourself for the rest of us, If that's the route we're going, we should have have at least one of two more people powering up too, just in case Andriev's even stronger than we thought." Jasper than looked at Effington, waiting to hear his thoughts on the matter.
Josuke Higashikata 2,141 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) "To address your points in order. We are still assuming that it kills everyone. However, for the sake of this argument. let's assume it will. It would not make it us the same as Adriev. Adriev wants to rule over us. Even if a large portion of us die, so long as he and the rest of the Kaymn die, then humanity shall rebuild, and rule over themselves without any... external influences, like the Kaymn. And as to the contingency plan, what kind could there be? By all means the reactor should shut down ALL the nano-machines. Although I will admit, this is the riskiest part of the plan. And spread the truth about the Kaymn? What do you think the general reaction to THAT will be? Upon learning that all of our magic is just extremely advanced technology, and that the Kaymn's powers are just even stronger nano-machines? Do you really think that will help people? What use would it serve?! If WE can't do it, I somehow doubt anyone else will! This may the pessimist within me, but it would seem we are the best bet. I shall leave Efton to decide as to whether or not more than one person should power up, however." Drale said, to Jasper. Guest DEADACCOUNT2333 Posted September 2, 2014 "They is.... one way." He snapped his fingers, and a silver ball appeared. It then shot out a light, followed by a image. Efenton then spoke. "This is a test chamber for making kaymn, which was a experiment on the ship that my father disbanded in fear of a human getting this far. It has since been shut down... but if we could restart the power, I could make only one of you have a slight boost in power to Adriev." He sighed. "However....This would cause severe mental and physical breakdown of ones body in less than 5-10 minutes on the little boy." He looked at Sandrew. "I cannot give you healing nanites, due to my father removing the replication of such..." He looked at them. "I would not let this battle end and a child die at the same time.."
