Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Hey guys, I'm back. So this weekend I was wondering how Terra can come back as we all know that this is one of the biggest questions that we have for Kingdom Hearts 3. But I finally came up with a theory on how this can be possible. So "let's get into it". Note that this theory is quite complicated, but come on, Tetsuya Nomura is very cunning. First of all, I like to point out that in this theory I had to use another theory. That of the great Kingdom Hearts gamer and editor, our one and only, Everglow844!!! As stated in the Ansem Reports, a person is made up of four parts: the heart, the soul, the body and the mind. When a person splits into a Heartless and a Nobody, the Heartless holds the heart captive while the Nobody is all the other three parts. Flashback to Birth by Sleep: Master Xehanort places his heart inside of Terra, leading to the destruction of Xehanort's body. Terra's mind and soul transfer into his armor, creating what we called in KH2 Final Mix, the Lingering Will. The Ansem Reports also state that a body cannot function without the soul and mind, so this would mean that Terra-Xehanort had Terra's body and heart and Xehanort's heart, soul and mind. (I know, already complicated) As I stated, the Heartless holds the heart captive only. This would mean that Terra-Xehanort's Heartless, Ansem the Seeker of Darkness, had both Xehanort's and Terra's hearts. Everglow's theory states that the Guardian could hold Terra's heart as that beast made its first appearance, chronologically, at the end of Birth by Sleep. When people saw the end of Dream Drop Distance, many of them asked why Master Xehanort returned and not Terra-Xehanort. We'll get to that soon. How does the destruction of the Heartless and the Nobody create the person once more. When a Heartless is slain, the heart is released, but happens when a Nobody is destroyed? Something must be destroyed to cause a Nobody to fade. I believe that the body is completely destroyed when the Nobody is slain. That would mean that Terra's body is gone for good. So if the body is destroyed, I say that that the mind and the soul are released. Xemnas mentioned that it is possible for one to grow a heart, with the right conditions. Could it be that with the heart, mind and soul of a person grow their own body? Let's recap: Ansem SOD's destruction released both Terra's and Xehanort's hearts. Xemnas' destruction released Xehanort's mind and soul. There are more of Xehanort's parts then those of Terra. This could be why we see old Master Xehanort and not Terra-Xehanort. Master Xehanort could be holding Terra's heart inside of him. So if my theory is right, the only way for Terra to return is that Terra's heart needs to escape its prison of an old Keyblade Master and return to its mind and soul inside of his armor. And how can Terra's heart escape Xehanort? This could be where the Key to Return Hearts comes in! So what did you guys think? Please tell me, I thought long and hard for this theory. PrinceNoctis 1,011 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) I think Terra's heart was released but since his mind and soul haven't been released from the Lingering Will, he can't return! That's a really nice theory though! Edited June 17, 2014 by PrinceNoctis

RikuFangirl2008 1,368 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) The Key of Return Hearts was the first thing that popped up in my mind. But wait... Right now, I'm thinking about that scene with Terra and Xehanort talking to each other. I think Eraqus's heart is inside of Terra right? Fenrissychros 167 Posted June 17, 2014 I believe that when Ansem SoD has two hearts: Ansem itself is Master Xehanort's heart, and the guardian is Terra's heart. As with Xemnas, he is basically the body of Terra-Xehanort(The body of Terra, basically). Xemnas was Terra's body, with MX mind on him Now the theory I discussed with my friends: When a person is recreated (its heart and body reunite again, like Lea, Ienzo, ...) they are reborn in the same place that they lost their hearts. Why weren't Braig, Isa, and Terra-nort reborn on Radiant Garden? Because they didn't technically lose their heart there. Braig and Isa actually lost their hearts the moment they hosted MX heart on them. So this could mean they were reborn in the place they allowed him to share their hearts. And same can go with Terra. Both Terra, and MX lost their hearts on the keyblade graveyard. Even if they actually became a heartless and a nobody on Radiant Garden, they could have been reborn in the place they first lost their hearts: On the keyblade Graveyard, and maybe Terra and Xehanort were reborn individually However, as Terra's soul is in the Lingering Will, they would have to reunite Terra's empty body and empty heart, reborn on the Keyblade Graveyard with the LW. And how can Terra's heart escape Xehanort? This could be where the Key to Return Hearts comes in! So what did you guys think? Please tell me, I thought long and hard for this theory. There is a couple problems with this theory. First and foremost Terra's Lingering Will does not contain his mind and soul. It is a manifestation of Terra's thought of stopping Xehanort and saving his friends. Those thoughts gathered and took control of his armor and and fought Xehanort. So in short it was his thoughts not his mind.Second the when a Nobody is defeated it will rejoin with it's heart provided that it's Heartless counterpart has already been destroyed. The body is never destroyed it just rejoins with its counterpart. When the Heartless are defeated, what becomes of the stolen hearts? Also, when members of Organization XIII and other Nobodies are defeated, do they return to their original form? When Heartless are defeated, essentially the owner's hearts are rejoined with their once extinguished body, whichever world it may be on. As for the whereabouts of hearts in KHII that turn up, this time they remarkably went to the Organization (there is a foot note here that says "In Kingdom Hearts II after Heartless were defeated, the many hearts were absorbed by the Kingdom Hearts of "people's hearts"). However, in the rare case that the body changed into a Nobody, when there is no container for the heart it resorts to a state of suspension. In the case of a Nobody being defeated, it's a little more complicated. If the above mentioned hearts are liberated, they return to their original form. However, if the heart is still stolen by the Heartless, the Nobody's body is swallowed by darkness. If somewhere in the world their hearts are taken back, perhaps they might be able to return to their original human form. Finally the issue with old Master Xehanort returning as opposed to Terra-Xehanort. Now there are two possibilities. One Master Xehanort's heart has completely consumed Terra's and has molded his body in his own image. The second possibility is that Master Xehanort and Terra recompleted simultaneously. This is a theory I share credit with Flaming Lea. The idea is that in BBS when MX took over Terra's body his own discarded body followed the properties of a nobody who is defeated before it's Heartless counterpart. In that situation the body will be swallowed by darkness where it might one day rejoin with it's heart. The idea is that upon the destruction of Xemmas and Ansem, Terra would be reborn in his own body but with Xemnas's new heart rendering him completely norted. While Master Xehanort's heart would rejoin with his own body which had been waiting in the Realm of Darkness. 1 HarLea Quinn reacted to this

KH4Real 749 Posted June 19, 2014 Sadly the only way is probably to defeat Terranort or just Xehanort. I think there will be crucial moments to kill Terranort. Like the fear of losing Terra.
