I wanted to know in your guy's opinions which Kingdom Hearts game has showed the the power and potential of the Keyblade the best and the worst. IMO I think Chain Of Memories did it worst but Kingdom Hearts 2 did it best.

How can it be KH2? i mean so many people started getting keyblades it wasnt even funny. Like everybody started getting the keyblade it didnt show that it was special.

I believe DDD did the best and KH2 did the worst.

That's kind of backwards from the popular opinion.

I believe BBS shows the power of the keyblade the best since it shows it unlocking hearts, unlocking locks, people coveting its power and their reasons for wanting it, all the crazy abilities that TAV can do with it, and probably more.

COM did it the worst, I don't even think they mention the keyblade and its special attributes at all.

As much as I love it, Re:coded did it worst. The Keyblade is indeed prominent in CoM. That's the whole purpose of Marluxia and Larxene's plans, they need Sora's Keyblade to combat Org. XIII. Re:coded gave us the Keyblade in a new way that didn't have anything to do with the real attributes of the Keyblade.

Because we're talking about power and potential, not rarity

True, but it didn't show them

Like most people I'd have to say CoM was the worst as the only time Sora actually used  any of the Keyblades special abilities was at the very end and BbS did it best because it showed a multitude of special properties.

If I can do a list from worst to best
CoM
Days
KH
Coded (assuming upgrades are canon, switched with CoM if not)
KHII
DDD
BbS

First off, I think you should specify as to whether you mean in terms of gameplay or in terms of story? Because those two offer very different things from each other. Also, I don't think ANY Kingdom Hearts game ever does a terrible job in demonstrating the power of the Keyblade, but some do it better than others. So instead of the "worst" I think it should be the "least".

That said, I think that Birth by Sleep best demonstrated the power and potential of the Keyblade, both in gameplay and story. In terms of gameplay, you got to play as master-level characters, Terra being the one who actually displays use of transforming his weapon. In terms of story, the Keyblade was demonstrated to be able to remove and transfer somebody's heart, a Keyblade wielder could be split in two to forge the mother of all Keyblades, the X-Blade, and a Keyblade could be used to transform the entire nature and appearance of a world. In terms of actual combat though, one of the points I mentioned, weapon transformation, was better depicted in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, as the Lingering Spirit's Keyblade was able to transform into all sorts of things, which oddly wasn't as touched upon in BbS as everybody thought. Although I guess Armor of the Master and No Heart both display these abilities in a much better manner, so I guess it still counts.

As for the game that displayed the power and potential of the Keyblade the least (but NOT the worst), it was tough, but I had to go with Re:Coded. It's not that the gameplay didn't show off some awesome stuff or that the story didn't amount to anything, but in terms of story, there wasn't much of an emphasis on the Keyblade. Sure, we learned that a Keyblade could be created from data (although that would make it a copy), and that even a person made of data could wield a true Keyblade, but even then, I don't think anybody was that surprised by it. It just shows that technology is a remarkable thing and that Data people have hearts just as real as "real" people. That said, the Keyblade wasn't the main focus of the story, though it briefly got some focus in Sora losing the Keyblade (again) and regaining a "true" one. But the gameplay still showed off a great deal of what could be done with it. As always, laser beams and energy swords are always a great display of power, in my opinion. Plus, it was very cool to swing the Keyblade BY IT'S CHAIN....IT'S FREAKING CHAIN!! Why was that never a move before!?

Anyway, in the end, I think every game in the series does a good job at displaying both the power and the potential of the Keyblade, as each game seems to explain more and more of what the Keyblade can do, and each game has more abilities added to it that shows the raw power that you can unleash on enemies. Kingdom Hearts of course introduced us to the mechanics but also came with quite a flashy display, Re:Chain of Memories got some KILLER abilities later on (to those who voted Re:CoM as "worst", I've got two words for you: MEGA FLARE), Kingdom Hearts II got newer and better abilities along with the power to wield two Keyblades at once and finally incorporated Sora's affiliation with Light into his attacks, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days showed that the same Keyblade could be wielded by multiple wielders at the same time as well as explained the origin of dual wielding, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep introduced Keyblade Gliders as well as the abilities and potential of Masters and introduced the almighty X-Blade, Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded displayed the Keyblade's ability to manipulate data and the strength of data hearts, and Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance displayed a Keyblade's abilities to manipulate sleep and built upon everything else that was introduced. And so far Kingdom Hearts III is looking to show off the Keyblade even more than the other installments into the series, and it looks like the ability to transform the Keyblade seen in KH2FM and BbS will finally be touched upon, if the gun transformations are to be any hint.

All in all, I think the series as a whole has done a great job in demonstrating and explaining the Keyblade's power, and I look forward to more awe-inspiring displays in the future.  xD

Um, because it was reasonably explained, you could wield two at once, multiple people were always meant to wield a Keyblade, and Sora just got THE Keyblade. DDD didn't really introduce much, other than the ability to manipulate sleep and dreams. Other than that, most of the moves are just new powers. They're impressive powers and add to the repertoire of the Keyblade and it's wielder, but the mythos of the Keyblade wasn't explained that much. The closest thing was Xehanort being able to SPLIT his heart into thirteen pieces and infusing them into 12 others, but that is more of an EXTENSION of the ability to move his heart into another body, something that was introduced in Birth by Sleep. The Keyblade as a story element wasn't focused on any more than Re:Coded, but that doesn't mean that it was made out to not be important.

Also, I find it strange that you find the idea that Riku, Kairi, and Roxas being able to wield Keyblades too is ridiculous, but you don't think the same thing about LEA getting a Keyblade? I mean, I thought "why not?" but I can still see where others come from when they say that it's a bit ridiculous to have Lea of all people wield a Keyblade too. So why is it that you think Kingdom Hearts II made Keyblades seem less "special", but Dream Drop Distance did the exact opposite?

I say Days did it the worst followed closely by KH1. BBS and DDD did it best. Before people jump down my throat know that I have to acknowledge the fact that gameplay is cannon when considering my opinion. While most peoples immediate response would be Re:CoM you have to think how much more powerful Sora was in ReCoM then in KH1. The sleights used in the game were far beyond anything Sora was capable in the first game. Remember the Keyblade is an extension of the wielders abilities not the other way around. In KH1 Sora was inexperienced in wielding the Keyblade as far as potential goes at best we saw drivers manual compared to later games with the exception of Days which offered virtually nothing new as far demonstrating the Keyblade's power and offered no innovation of the previously granted something I feel ReCoded at the very least accomplished.

Here's how I view it.

KH1: The Beginners Guide To Using A Keyblade

ReCom: Expanding Ability Limitations

KH2: Destructive Raw Power

Days: Meh

BBS: Redefining It's Capabilites

ReCoded: A Little Innovation

DDD: Suck It TAV Sora and Riku Own This Shit!

Hard pick between KHII, DDD and BBS for the first one. I'm leaning on DDD because it's the furthest Sora and Riku are in power, yet KHII demonstrated quite a bit of ability as well. And then there's BBS which...Jesus... This is a really hard decision but I went with DDD, for now. Very hyper-active, very fast-paced and showing off new abilities we've never even seen before. Sora and Riku really seem like they've got a good grasp on what they're doing, even in child form.

2nd best would probably be BBS, just because Terra and Aqua are at the level Sora and Riku are during DDD. 3rd would be KHII, 4th would be KHI, 5th would be Coded, 6th 358 and 7th CoM.

CoM is the worst, by far, and I actually like the game. I say worst because the gameplay is all card-based. Very strategic, but nothing impressive at all. In fact, it's disappointing comparatively. And Sora doesn't do much with it in story that we haven't seen before, either.

KH1 at its best, BBS at its worst. Mainly because the first game establishes what it means to wield the keyblade, and really focuses around the heart and soul of the weapon and what it means in an emotional sense, and BBS mostly renders it into just another super-special-awesome weapon for one to use.
