alexczas 5 Posted June 16, 2014 In kingdom hearts we had 1 visit per world excluding traverse town, in kingdom hearts 2 we had 2 visits per world, so in kingdom hearts 3 we have... 3 visits per world? It would make the game much longer but would it be repetitive?
Sora96 17,256 Posted June 16, 2014 I think it will depend on the world.
Ven983 490 Posted June 16, 2014 The reason for 2 visits in KH2 was because most second visits were to explore the Organization further. I think KH3 will have enough content for only 1-2 visits per world.
kingdomlanelover 494 Posted June 16, 2014 I agree with Sora96, I mean we wouldn't want the game to get too repetitive, but I did like going back a second time to many of the worlds in Kingdom Hearts 2.
Jake 1,488 Posted June 16, 2014 Like Sora96 stated, it depends on the world. But In my theory it will depend on how the storyline is for each world. Like we will most likely have to visit twilight town (if its a world) more then once most likely. and in Kingdom Hearts II, we had to visit twilight town 3 times, not twice. so there goes that order. Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted June 16, 2014 I would definitely be up for visiting each of the worlds 3 times or so, I want my gaming experience on III to be as long as possible! And some central worlds like Traverse Town, Twilight Town, or Radiant Garden might get up to 4 visits, as Kingdom Hearts had you explore all of the worlds once, but Traverse Town and Hollow Bastion got three and two visits, respectively. In Kingdom Hearts II you had to explore all of the worlds twice, but Twilight Town got 3 visits while Radiant Garden got 6 visits, 7 if you count the Sephiroth event! That being said, I hope the "hub worlds" get as many visits as possible while the other worlds get at least 2 or 3 visits each. I want Kingdom Hearts III's story to be longest that we've ever seen in the franchise, so if multiple visits helps out in that effort, than more visits please! 1 Garrett929 reacted to this
atheist123 583 Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) 3 visits could work for each Disney world, 2 mandatory story visits and one post-game/optional visit. An idea I've had for years is that, when you visit a Disney world for a second/third time, you visit a Realm of Darkness version of it. The worlds would be completely overrun by darkness, and even the inhabitants would act differently. So the visual style would be significantly different (darker, less colourful, less Disney-like) and some characters will act differently (example: traditional villains could act more as an antihero, helping Sora and co., which might allow the villains from Disney movies to not seem as cliche). I think these alternative versions of worlds could show the results of Master Xehanort winning in an interesting way. Having a different aesthetic and different characters would make repeating worlds less of a chore, since everything would at least superficially feel different. Connected 978 Posted June 19, 2014 I don't want many visits, I want more worlds. I only want to visit word like Radiant Garden or Twilight Town as much as possible 1 KingdomHeartsSora reacted to this
Cricket 1,180 Posted June 19, 2014 It will depend of the story line and the tasks Sora or other parties are given. It also depends on whether KH3 is split into different story lines or have an aspect like the Drop feature; so you may visit the worlds multiple times depending on which characters you play as (only if they go back to different story lines like they did in BBS and KH3D). I would love to visit the worlds maybe 3 times max so it doesn't overkill the experience. Just give us more Destiny Islands visits, haha. I always wanted to go back to Destiny Islands multiple times and talk to the people there and explore Sora, Riku, and Kairi's home world. 1 Dr. Shimo reacted to this
Ninkoro 123 Posted June 23, 2014 (edited) I think it should have a more "roaming" feeling. We're past the days where Sora and Co. needed to collect navi G pieces to unlock more worlds and visit them in a set order, I think there should be a specific reason behind why he is visiting each world rather than "oh that ones closest, lets go there". Example: Sora starts out exploring for the lost people to learn more info about the key to return hearts, and goes to Castle Oblivion to try and find Ventus' body. Before he enters, ventus flashes a memory in Soras head that displays World A. Sora travels to world A, learns about Ven and possibly another character, then finds another clue which leads him to World B. So on and so forth. Maybe he returns to a world because of a new clue, perhaps he returns to a specific world 3 times. Revisits are fine, but I don't think every world should be revisited the same amount. It sorta adds a sense of fabrication to the storyline. Edited June 23, 2014 by Ninkoro
