Wateraptor 37 Posted June 15, 2014 Implying that death exists in Kingdom Hearts universe, who do you think will say goodbye to us?I think it would be a good ending for Riku, giving his life to save his friends and finally obtaining a full redemption.I also wonder if Disney will save Aerith this time... 2 Alicia Maddox and tlrpttmn reacted to this

Caity 3,946 Posted June 15, 2014 I think a death should happen, because they've taken away any importance of it. Any time someone disappears or dies, you just think "Wonder when they'll pop up again". I personally thought Terra, as with anyone who wasn't a heartless and nobody you could use the whole "Well first they need to be a heartless and nobody when they die, then we will bring back the original 2 so 3 revivals), but the same logic shouldn't apply after that's happened (for MX to be truly finished at the end of KH3, it makes sense that you could only do it once) and Terra has gone through that process before with MX, meaning he's logic to properly die, he's not a villain (villains are expected to die), and he's a main character in BBS. If Riku dies the same could just happen where he's a heartless and nobody, or salvaged by the strength of his heart or something 3 Cucco, Robbie the Wise and teatimed reacted to this
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) Master Xehanort. Roxas, sort of. I predict he and Ventus will merge together during the course of the game with the same personality but the memories of both characters and just going by the name Ventus. Possibly Terra, seeing as how he's the most broken character in the series. Perhaps, in order to restore Master Eraqus, they have to sacrifice him. Xigbar, most likely. He's a generally pretty selfish and evil dude with no redeemable qualities other than being one of the best characters. Which shouldn't be enough to save you if good storytelling is in play. (With the exception of Axel/Lea) Saix, maybe. 50/50 for me. I can see him dying a tragic death or redeeming himself. There's no way any of the original heroes/FF or Disney characters will die. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted June 15, 2014 Well, I've been long pondering the thought of Terra being the one that dies, making one final act of heroism to atone for his past sins, buying time for Sora and friends to finish off Xehanort. And also, I'm guessing most of the new Organization, if not all of them, will die, especially Xehanort! (duh!) And since Aerith died in FFVII, Nomura might kill her off in Kingdom Hearts 3, although I'm not sure since the KH universe is separate from the FF universe. Right now, I can't think of anyone else dying. But if Riku died, I would be shocked, crying, and raging, so no, he cannot, and I repeat, CANNOT die! Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted June 15, 2014 Master Xehanort. No. Questions. Asked. (Keep Young Xehanort alive for a chance at redemption because TIME TRAVEL!) And...maybe...Isa. Probably either in a battle with Lea or redeeming himself. Now people who really SHOULDN'T die: Everyone else. Especially Riku...and Roxas...and Vanitas...and--just firetrucking everyone else lives. roxion 42 Posted June 15, 2014 Like for real though. Master Eraqus, Vanitas, Xion, Roxas, Namine and all the other damn members of Organization XIII have a possibility of returning like wtf. Though I'm excited for Xion, Roxas, Namine, Demyx and Larxene for a chance at screen time, still like does anyone die here?? Or do they keep turning into Heartless and Nobodies then come back to life?

Cricket 1,180 Posted June 15, 2014 It would be pretty cool if they ended Sora's life in KH3; since he is the key and destined one to open the door, but I know they want to keep him alive for future KH games. I just think it would be fitting for Sora to sacrifice his life in order to save everyone since he is a pool of a lot of people's hearts and he supposedly is the connection to everyone's hearts. I would like him to die and then come back to life at the end and Kairi, Riku, Donald and Goofy discovered a way to bring him back. If I have to be realistic about a death occurring in KH3, I would have to say Roxas or Riku. Riku is like the guardian of the bunch and he basically would do anything to see Sora and Kairi happy...and he is a master, so it would just be fitting for his legacy of the struggle with darkness and light come to a close and find the ultimate happiness of seeing his friends alive and happy. As for Roxas, he has to merge back with Ventus to awaken Ventus; I think Roxas will still be the same when he merges with Ventus, but Ventus will have new emotions/experiences/and quirks; like how Sora kinda picked up on Ventus' habits when their hearts merged in BBS. Idk...there's a few opportunities for different characters. 1 Alicia Maddox reacted to this
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted June 15, 2014 Nope. No death in Kingdom Hearts, not even in a hypothetical sense. .....except for Oggie....and Ursula.....and Scarr.....and Maleficent....and Barbossa....and- OKAY, so there has been SOME death, but never truly permanent. And I doubt anybody will truly "die" in the simplest of senses. If somebody was to "lose their life", they would be brought back eventually. None of the main cast will be truly gone, and I kind of think it's a waste of time to speculate who would die anyway. But have fun with that if you want. It's not that people likes when characters dies, it's just that there's graveness beyond a death and sometime it's needed to keep alive a Story. Plus, there's an ENTIRE Keyblade graveyard where Keyblades end up after their master's death during the Keyblade War.. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some death in this Keyblade War as well 1 Kodakliv reacted to this
Jake 1,488 Posted June 15, 2014 Master xehanort. It will be the end of the xehanort saga which has been confirmed (i think) and i believe he will be the one to say goodbye. Sora reaches his full potential and i think Sora, and the hero's of light will gather together with all their power and kill master xehanort. Thus he dies. If he doesn't die then i suspect Ventus and Terra to die.

Danex Darkfire + 1,712 Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) I know this would piss a lot of people off so square's not gonna do this, but I want to see death everywhere. I want riku to die, I want ven to die, I want roxas to die, I want Mickey to die, I want Leon and Cloud to die together like, in a total badass way, I want every bad guy to die, no redemption. I want lea to die, I want Xion to come back, then die again, I just want death. I want kh3 to be the game that grabs my emotions, and rips it into little pieces, then stomps on it, then lights it on fire and paves it into the road with a sledge hammer Edit: gotta say this before I piss some people off. Don't get me wrong, I like all these characters a lot, but I want kingdom hearts 3 to be really dark And I want death, I really want death Edited June 15, 2014 by Danex Darkfire

Riku has already redeem himself. Riku has done everything to help Sora to wake up, giving Sora, Donald, and Goofy clues in Kingdom Hearts 2, sacrificing his life for Sora during the final battle against Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts 2, and finally conquering his darkness in Dream Drop Distance and becoming a full keyblade master. Riku has fully redeem himself. 2 Robbie the Wise and SorrowSurvivor reacted to this
