roxion 42 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) So, I actually want to know what do y'all think about Marvel and Star Wars in Kh3? I personally don't want it, because live action movies don't seem to mix well in the Kh universe. Still I wouldn't mind if Vader was a secret boss and you can get Light Saber Keyblade from him. Plus, the KH staff should use Pixar titles or old classic Disney movies they have haven't use yet. Fenrissychros 167 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) It's true that Piratees of the Caribean was awful, but... Tron and Tron Legacy are two of the best Kingdom Hearts worlds ever Maybe Marvel will be a little weird in KH, but I truly believe they can do it very well As for Star Wars, I really think Star Wars would fit in Kingdom Hearts. We know Nomura is a total Star Wars (and Trek) fan, and he get a LOT of inspiration from them. Kingdom Hears as an entity, is very similar with The Force. A keyblade wielder is a lot like a Jedi. Dark keyblade Wielders (Xehanort, Vanitas) are a lot like Siths, like The Emperor or Darth Maul. They use their emotions to fight (anger, hatred, excitement) while Light keyblade wielders are serene, meditative, and fight with calm and reason (think in Aqua, Eraqus or Mickey) like a Jedi does You can practically change a keyblade for a lightsaber, and KIngdom Hearts for The Force, and Kingdom Hearts' story could be situated in the Star Wars universe without problem. I understand why people don't like the idea, but we should trust Nomura. If he introduces Star Wars or Marvel as a world similar to Tron or Radiant Garden, he would probably do it very well I am more concerned about making the Piratees of the Caribean sequels' as worlds......that would be utter shit Edited June 12, 2014 by Fenrissychros
Taeyeon 1,137 Posted June 12, 2014 I think it would fit pretty well, I mean Tron's world were pretty well done in the Kingdom Hearts game.
Wateraptor 37 Posted June 12, 2014 I'm not sure about an entire MARVEL world: I would prefere a "final fantasy character style" treatment. For example: Spiderman in Traverse Town (maybe venom as heartless (and maybe antivenom as nobody)). If Spiderman is in Traverse Town, we know NY has been already destroyed by heartless (so if Nomura wants we can see it in some other chapter) and we can take it as experiment to see if marvel superheroes fits in KH. Caity 3,946 Posted June 12, 2014 I personally don't think Star Wars fits KH, for reasons listed previously before in other topics. I think Marvel basically would be modern day New York which I don't care for. Mainly just cause Disney acquired those, doesn't make them Disney films. Only things produced after the acquisition are technically Disney films. Marvel, I could see myself growing to like if it was introduced, but Star Wars wouldn't entertain me in the slightest. 2 roxion and Robbie the Wise reacted to this
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted June 12, 2014 I personally don't want it, because live action movies don't seem to mix well in the Kh universe. *cough*Tron. I personally want to see more live-action movies in KH, just done properly. Pirates wasn't terrible, but it was rushed at the last minute. Space Paranoids and even The Grid were done just fine. As for Star Wars, I think it could work if done the way I mapped out in a thread a while back ago. (Just focus on the Death Star plot of A New Hope and don't make a big deal out of the larger EU)
tessaxmarie 35 Posted June 12, 2014 I personally feel that Marvel and LucasFilm aren't really a part of Disney yet. I mean, of course Disney bought the companies and we now have the rights, etc etc, but many, including myself, don't see any Marvel and Star Wars characters as a Disney franchise. The way I see it, Star Wars is Star Wars, not Disney. Same goes with Marvel. To bring these two into the KH series could open up some opportunities, but at the same time, it wouldn't fit well with the series. Because of the audience KH has had the past 10 years, it would not go over as smoothly as some other ACTUAL Disney movies/characters would. Even with Pixar this is touchy. To be honest, the only Pixar movie I'd want to see in KH3 would be Toy Story, and many can agree to that. Having a Pixar movie like Cars, Finding Nemo, Up, etc. wouldn't feel right. Tron worked out because it was an older film, and fitting in Tron Legacy only worked because they had used the originally Tron story in KH2. I've always loved that the franchise has stuck with original Disney movies, and to bring in all of these new items would be almost awkward. I'd rather see a world for Tangled than I would Star Wars, even if it sounds lame. It just fits better with the Disney feel. 3 Oli, Wateraptor and marukyu reacted to this

tessaxmarie 35 Posted June 12, 2014 This is exactly how I feel. Like sure, Star Wars is badass and all but that's STAR WARS. and KH is a DISNEY game. Even if they are now owned by the same people, there's a big difference between the two. I love Star Wars and Marvel as much as the next guy, but there needs to be a line between the two. Having a world for Treasure Planet/Atlantis would be awesome. That's what I'm personally rooting for.

Yes, but having the TWEWY's characters felt just like having the FF characters in the game. It didn't seem too off, but having live action characters and their own worlds would be weird. It didn't seem too off, but having live action characters and their own worlds would be weird. First of all, I hated TWEWY's characters, but that's not important. For Star Wars I don't know what to say, I enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean and some horrible worlds are in every chapter. For Marvels I'd prefere the comic's version (Disney has not the rights for the live action versions of every character) that, I think, would fit better in KH... I really would love to see Sora, Donald and Goofy in superhero's suits.
marukyu 132 Posted June 13, 2014 NoooononoNOnoN O thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think its just way too out of place and not really in the Disney family. Just because they own the rights doesn't mean they should put it in. When people ask for Marvel and Star Wars in Kingdom Hearts, I get the same feeling when I see people want Naruto to be in Super Smash Bros. EXCEPT MORE TERRIFYING because of the possibility that it could happen. I'm okay with real life whatever thingies in Kingdom hearts (Like Enchanted sounds ADORABLE to me okay) but yeah thats just unsettling. Also if they havent been able to get a Pixar world or reference in and Disney has owned that since Pixar pretty much began, yeah hopefully you guys dont get too disappointing if it was decided to not be included. Cricket 1,180 Posted June 13, 2014 I think it would be a pretty cool aspect to KH. I can picture the Keyblade designs now for Star Wars and for Marvel, hehe~ And Sora in a super hero outfit or Jedi outfit...

AirbagVII 386 Posted June 14, 2014 My guess is that they will include Star Wars Episode VII in KH3 as a way to promote the movie. You just need to look at "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Tron Legacy", for example. Both worlds seemed a bit out of the context at first, but truth is they were introduced in KH2 and KHDDD mostly because they were recent box offices' successes at the time of the games' releases. If Disney decides to go that way, they can do it once again, considering Episode VII will come out in 2015... 1 Wateraptor reacted to this
Aile 273 Posted June 14, 2014 I just don't think it will fit in at all. I had mixed feelings about the Pirates world, it just seemed SO off. Tron did a better job though. There are still so many "real" Disney movies out there that haven't made it into the KH series yet, and I rather want to see those than that I want to see a Star wars or Marvel world. But if they end up putting the two of them (or only one ) in the game, then I just have to live with that. 1 roxion reacted to this

AirbagVII 386 Posted June 16, 2014 What about Episode VI in KH3 and Episode III in KH BbS2? Not going to happen! Even though Star Wars is now a part of Disney, these movies were made before the acquisition and therefore they have no real meaning to KH. Now, the upcoming Episode VII is a complete different story, since it will be the first Disney's Star Wars movie. As a result, they may try to place it in KH3 as a way to promote the movie to wider audiences. Trust me, if Square-Enix hasn't confirmed yet that Episode VII will be featured, it is mostly because not many things have been revealed about the movie itself (Square must have to respect some agreements with Disney to make certain that no information surfaces yet). 1 roxion reacted to this

That's because there are new Disney's SpiderMan cartoons being diffused at the moment. Plus, Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios are now a part of Disney as well.
