Exiblade7 1,917 Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) on 23:28 you will see a brown bag that is in front of the camera. I noticed that the symbol on the bag might be either the crest of hylia or the crest of hyrule or even the royal crest . The crest of hylia looks like this The crest of hyrule looks like this The crest of the royal family looks like a bird without the triforce in the middle. I can't find a picture of it. The significance of this is that if the crest of hylia is seen on the bag it could tell of that this is taking place before the events of Skyward Sword. If the bag has either the crest of the royal family or the crest of hyrule that can tell us that this is taking place after hyrule is formed though the crest of hyrule is seen in skyward sword. What do you think about this? Edited June 11, 2014 by Zeldablade7 1 GotMilk5101520 reacted to this
tlozbj 74 Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) The crest looks kinda weird, it does look like the crest of the Royal Family(the one you have in black there, the Crest of Hyrule is the one who has the red bird), but the wings seem way to separated from the Triforce. If it was anything it would be either be Zelda's original family crest(the one she has in the dress in SS, and the one in TP Zelda's dress, also the one that Gaepora has in his belt), with a Triforce in-between its wings, something like the pixelated cress in some of the archs in Hyrule Castle from TMC. So this leaves two possibilities to who the character is: 1. Link, who has been enlisted by the Royal Family for some help, and he still haven't received his signature green tunic 2. A flat-chested Zelda, who is escaping from the villains, which is what the trailer suggests, that whoever the mysterious character is, he/she is escaping from that mobile Beamos, and so that explains the cloak thingy. What is Aonuma trying to do? http://www.nintendo-insider.com/2014/06/11/aonuma-zelda-wii-u-trailer-no-one-explicitly-said-link/ are they trying to say that the character we say in the trailer isn't Link. Rethinking the conventions of Zelda . That or he is trolling, like the MM thing at the end of ALBW. But whatever it is, he did say in a interview, that a Zelda game, doesn't necessarily needs Link or Zelda. But if he does take Link out, this is going to be a Zelda game, that I will not enjoy Edited June 11, 2014 by tlozbj 2 Exiblade7 and SkullMajora reacted to this

Lets just hope he is trolling, and that the mysterious 3DS game of today's round table, is not Majora's Mask 3D. Since if it is MM3D, then Aonuma, was being completely serious after he said the Link thing, and laughed, just like when he was asked for MM3D. Though if this games happen in the AT, their is the possibility that this is not Link, since Demise's curse is over in that timeline.

tlozbj 74 Posted June 11, 2014 In what timeline Demise's curse ended? From what Hyrule Historia suggests, in the Adult Timeline, since once the Wind Waker section ends, the book, says that the cyclical story of the Triforce, and the sacred realm of Hyrule is over, and as we know Demise's curse is part of that cyclical history. Maybe it will take place in the adult timeline. Sadly we don't see any symbols that we found in other zelda games like this. We see those symbols in most zelda games. Sadly I haven't seen any of these in the new Zelda U trailer. I hope we see this in other Zelda U trailers for Zeldas U. Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) It doesn't look like anything I've seen before. I wouldn't get upset if Link or Zelda wasn't there, but I dun think it'll happen here, as the fan reaction would immediately go just as the "Oh my god why is Link right handed!? He's only supposed to be left handed!" These conventions should have been taken on earlier, as Link is now an icon so no one looks at Link as if they were him, which is extremely disappointing, because it destroys the entire idea of immersion. It's now, "I can relate to Link," instead of the intentional "I am [insert your name here], Hero of Time (or Winds, or anything else he's been called)!" I really don't want Link to be a female or playing as another person desides Link. I could undestand if the "hero" that we seen in the trailer is the hero of men that is mentioned in the prologue of the Minish Cap. 2 baptiscool19 and Neptune Vasilias reacted to this

You can't make a series grow and give it new conventions if people aren't going to accept it. Why do you think Nintendo's stuck in a hole that others constantly shit on it for? I personally don't like the change.if the change happens.

tlozbj 74 Posted June 12, 2014 As said, Aonuma was indeed trolling us/joking with us, he recently confirmed: http://nintendoeverything.com/aonuma-confirms-that-link-was-the-character-featured-in-zelda-wii-us-debut-video/ So now we can sleep in peace knowing that the guy in the trailer is Link... and that Aonuma has no future in stand-up comedy. 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this

Now going back on topic, do you think that the symbol in the brown bag is one of the symbols that I mentioned in the first comment of this question?
