Exiblade7 1,917 Posted June 14, 2014 The entire Zelda Community in a single post: https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAADMUKlyvepIkw?fb_ref=scfbp I'm with Nate Janc here. I really can't stand the Zelda community anymore since they never see the problems in a game, but when it comes to art style, they complain about the graphics which is a whole other thing in itself. Some people get it right, but they still dun give the art style a chance. That's pretty sad if you ask me, pathetic at the most. I feel like this is a repeat of what happened with the wind waker when it got released.
Exiblade7 1,917 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) I have a feeling that the newest zelda U trailer is more like this than this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3ct4Si7sS4 because it may be in-game engine, but that doesn't mean that the game isn't rendered. All i'm trying to say is that Nintendo might change some things up a bit (not including the art style) by the time the game has to be released. There'll be changes, but for the most part, everything we've seen is pretty solid that it'll be the final concept.
tlozbj 74 Posted June 14, 2014 Aonuma got me quite scared when the possibility of that not being Link came up, I just hope that when he refers to not focusing to Link's appearance, since he pretty much is our avatar(or something) in the game, he isn't refering to Link being customizable(gender, clothes, face, etc), because TLOZ wouldn't be the same without the Link we know already. Link has become a established character for the series in its 27 years of history, and making him a generic customizable character, and getting rid of the Link we have get to known, is just stupid and wrong. Exiblade7 1,917 Posted June 14, 2014 It seems that Link does have a sword in the Zelda U trailer. Look at it closely.

It wouldn't be bad to allow customization and gender options, but it wouldn't be right to just entirely clean his face from the franchise. I think facewise, his face will keep the feminine appearance as always, but you could have the option to customize your gear and stuff. That's not a bad idea. Being afraid of new ideas and concepts is bad for any franchise.

Link should just stay androgynous as he is now, specially in the levels of Zelda U, no need for big customization or gender options, just keep him androgynous as he is now. Though we have customize his gear, in some of the Zelda games, not big, but we have already done it, before. Though even if we get that option, Link should still have his usual attire, till you got to a blacksmith or something that lets you change your gear, it should be something like a sidequest, you do said thing, and you get a new piece of gear, you can use, till then, Link should stay with his usual green tunic, and with his androgynous look, so that gender options are not needed.
