Tails 6,690 Posted July 10, 2010 Wow sonic colors looks amazing. Finally a game that doesn't have crap like sonic unleashed where sonic was a freaking werehog. The werehog stages were terrible. But anyway, who else is excited for sonic colors? I mean the graphics look amazing. Now this is how a sonic game should be, nothing but running through stages, no werehog, no swords, just running . Who agrees?
ObsidianEagle 103 Posted July 10, 2010 yeah, i've seen that although i was a big fan of sonic unleashed (if you don't like action platformers, you don't like it), secret rings and black knight. they shouldn't have got the bad reviews like they did sonic (06), it deserved worse reviews but yeah, sonic colours seems amazing! Tom 437 Posted July 10, 2010 Running? That's it? You only care for the running rather than gameplay with a varity of elements? Wow. sonic (06), it deserved worse reviews Let me guess, the loading screen duration got you to say that?
ObsidianEagle 103 Posted July 10, 2010 Let me guess, the loading screen duration got you to say that? *20 sec loading screen* Flailing arm guy: hmm, not enough. *20 sec loading screen* lol, that answers that along with the glitches, the pointless missions and werid gameplay mechanics
Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 10, 2010 I looked at some pictures, and the one thing that caught my attention was the city of giant hamburgers. o.o And may I tell you, I saw some good quality in that. I anticipate this game.
Liraxus 4 Posted July 10, 2010 The theme is sick. No doubt. Hurry up Crush 40.
pspgameboy 6 Posted July 10, 2010 Running? That's it? You only care for the running rather than gameplay with a varity of elements? Wow. Yes, I would rather have all Day time running stages from Unleashed than to have some mediocre beat em' up platformer stages along with it. The stages themselves provide enough variety for me just like the good old genesis games, Adventure, Advance & the Rush games on the DS. If you've seen footage for Sonic Colors then you would know that the game will have six different power ups like being able to dig through dirt. Is that enough variety for you? sonic (06), it deserved worse reviews Let me guess, the loading screen duration got you to say that? Did you even play the monstrosity that was Sonic '06? The game had way more problems than those long annoying loading screens that come out every so often(especially when you're in town) like the bad story, voice acting, and a bunch of glitches this game had that made the game nearly unplayable. Some of the music in the game is the only good thing I can say about it but that doesn't change the fact that game was piece of crap. Sonic Team rushed this game so it would come out during the holidays and the game shows that.

Tsunamo 62 Posted November 13, 2010 Major bumpage! Got the Wii and DS versions on the Australian launch 2 days ago (we were actually the first in the world to get a game for once) and it's fantastic! It puts all the good daytime elements of Unleashed and combines them with easily accessible controls and fun gameplay. The DS versions also very good, Sonic Colours isn't a very fitting name for the DS version though, as it's basically Sonic Rush gameplay mixed with a few new elements and a longer story that has more subplots and more characters than the Wii version, so it would seem more fitting to call it Sonic Rush 3 IMO. The special stages in the DS version are also really fun. Sega have got yet another Sonic installment right this generation, and are heading in the right direction with Sonic games. The only complain about the game Is length, it's short. But beating it 100% will still take you a while. Now to collect all the Red Rings in the Wii version. ObsidianEagle 103 Posted November 13, 2010 i'll just copy my post onto here: IGN's Review... http://bit.ly/9B8uDm ZOMG! THEY GAVE A 3D SONIC GAME A GOOD SCORE!!! *takes 7 drinks* the only problem i see with this game, is it looks very 'zoomed out'. in unleashed, the camera was quite close to sonic, but here is seems a million miles away. and it seems there is too much of the gameplay thats side view, i'd prefer much more like the proportion of side-to-back view that was in unleashed. but eh, seems cool, i'll ask for it for christmas
Tsunamo 62 Posted November 14, 2010 It's not zoomed out, sure it's not as close to Sonic as the camera was in Unleashed, but it's still at a distances where you can quite clearly see what you're doing in the 3D sections. I would also prefer more over the top-view gameplay rather side-view gameplay, but Sega decided to play it safe this time and keep it limited. It's still a great game though.
