They just re-announced it as FINAL FANTASY XV last year. Cancelling FINAL FANTASY XV would ruin Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix. When was the last time The Last Guardian had news? 2009? Lol.

He's directing a major entry in one of the biggest video game franchises of all time. If they cancelled XV they would have to make a new XV and that is messed up. A decade worth of resources and time gone.

Actually it kinda does, especially if a game is getting a lot of people hyped and it was put on hold for years and then get re-announced as a new title.
