ActuallyVenus 23 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) wow....I can't imagine the fear that poor girl mustve been going through being nearly killed by two they trusted, and then having to limp their way to the road , dying, and thankfully being rescued Edited June 4, 2014 by ActuallyVenus
Caxkj 481 Posted June 4, 2014 Seriously... what is with the current generation these days... I blame the adults more for not keeping an eye on their childrens activities, really... Dio Brando 5,810 Posted June 4, 2014 Seriously... what is with the current generation these days... I blame the adults more for not keeping an eye on their childrens activities, really... What's next, people will be praying for Ben Drowned...? More likely praying to Pyramid Head from Silent Hill Because this generation is stupid and filled with people that can't draw the line between fiction and reality and have lazy ass parents that the only amount of parenting they do is hiring a nanny I might sound harsh but this is the truth 1 Caxkj reacted to this
KeybladeHero94 32 Posted June 4, 2014 I know its horrible, but its worse to put the blame on the game, now the government is going to want to try to ban games again or something, its like we finally try to step up as gamers to only be put down but this is just tragic
MasterXemnas 2,285 Posted June 4, 2014 Seriously... what is with the current generation these days... I blame the adults more for not keeping an eye on their childrens activities, really... What's next, people will be praying for Ben Drowned...? Fool. It's not the current generation. It was two girls that happen to be from a particular generation. People from all generations have done completely horrendous things that this does not even compare. 3 Josuke Higashikata, Alph Art and darkerturbo reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted June 4, 2014 I don't know whether or not these girls need to be sent to a mental institution or just get strapped to a couple of electric chairs.
Kittenz 4,281 Posted June 4, 2014 WTF I don't know whether or not these girls need to be sent to a mental institution or just get strapped to a couple of electric chairs. Trust me, I'm pretty sure that people with common mental illnesses wouldn't them anywhere near them. The need to go to jail.
Kodakliv 558 Posted June 4, 2014 It's sad that so many girls here In Wisconsin believe in slenderman. My step niece who is also around that age believes in the slenderman and she has proof apparently lol.
Tigerruss 576 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) Where did they get the idea that Slenderman demands human sacrifices. To the best of my knowledge of the internet creation no one truly knows what the Slenderman does with victims. And in my opinion it was only a matter of time before something like this would happen, but I would have expected the ones partaking in it would have acted closer to the mythos...As for their guilt and punishment I have two things to state:I believe they are no more crazy than anyone else who tries human sacrifice in America, though at least others do it because their religion/cult demands it. (and not to prove their beliefs are real) Some might think that is really crazy, and others might think that isn't very crazy at all. I personally think that varies from case to case in levels of "crazy". Punishment? It probably is needed. Though from an economic standpoint what's the point of imprisoning someone(s) for most of their lives? To bar them away from society so society is "safer"? That can work, but why not simply execute someone instead of locking them up for 50+ years? I mean if you go in as a teen with a sentence like that, you probably will be homeless and on the street by the time you get out and from a survival standpoint prison would be the best place for you after all that time. You would have practically no social ties, Everyone you knew either hates you, doesn't care for you anymore, or are dead. Sure their parents might have survived that long, but they are bound to be elderly by then and might not have the energy/resources to help them get on their feet to live their lives. And sure you might say that is what they deserve, but I still think it would be more merciful to give a swift death sentence then force them to live their lives in confinement and then be freed into a world where they will probably just be tossed on the street left to either fend for themselves or leech off of services for the poor for the rest of their lives.Even if you think they deserve that treatment, we as tax payers have to pay for that treatment. It probably would be cheaper in the long run to send them to some correction facility for possibly a few years, whether it is explicitly for mental health or not. And assuming they can be corrected they can now be useful parts of society that aren't just a burden. You might think it is cruel to just talk about there impact on the economy and the life after prison for them. But really what's the point of simply locking someone(s) away for most of their life?Edit: And it was only matter of time before the slenderman stuff hit the news. Or someone went crazy due to slenderman. I have seen so many complaints this and that about slenderman from people sounding serious. Something about people make them want to believe/fear it. Though hopefully most people just move on from their fear at one point. Edited June 4, 2014 by Tigerruss
KHUndertaleFan25 2,858 Posted June 4, 2014 What. The. Heck. Why would they do this? That was stupid of them to do that.
aliyarocksyoursocks123 54 Posted June 4, 2014 I think what really gets me the most is that these girls PLANNED this murder for months. It takes a certain kind of mentality to do that. I just think that yes, even though they are 12 and minors, they knew exactly what they were doing, and it wasn't a 'spur of the moment' murder. I personally think that going to a mental institution won't help these girls in the slightest. Sadly, I think the only plausible way to effectively punish them is execution. Gosh, this whole case is just horrible. 1 Shulk reacted to this
