Some people said that is the continuation of Birth By Sleep, when Aqua is doing her Journey across the ROD and she arrives Castle of Dreams exposed to a huge darkness just like Fairy Godmother said when she meets Sora in KH, so what exactly is thsi? It was supposed to take place between BBS and KHI and solve one of the Four Great Mysteries of Kingdom Hearts, mysteries that Nomura wanted to solve before ending the Seeker of Darkness Chronicle The mystery in question being The Period of the King's Absence. The project was put on hold indefinitely and will likely never see the light of day. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted June 4, 2014 You know, this begs for the question, do you think that the part in Birth By Sleep's secret Episode where in the end it clearly teases Birth By Sleep Volume 2 will be left in the game, or will Nomura and the team decide to edit it out? That's something that deeply interests me. Topic wise though, I guess it's like everyone else has said here. It's an abandoned project, although knowing Nomura, he'll know how to integrate the story he had in mind for BBSV2 in future installments. Only time will tell what will happen. Nathan Hatton 274 Posted June 4, 2014 Crazy idea, and I doubt it would happen... But the producer of the KH series said a couple weeks ago that there were some surprises in store for E3? (I may also be misinterpreting his statements). What if one of these surprises was that (wait for it......................) BBSV2 was going to be explained in extra content in KH2.5 HD?? Again, I HIGHLY doubt this will happen. But it would be awesome! OR (Another crazy idea is about to hit you like a brick, like right in the face) everybody knows that Nomura said a while ago that he wanted to release a KH game every year. This started back with 358/2 Days in 2009, then BBS in 2010, Re: Coded in 2011, KH3D in 2012, KH 1.5 HD in 2013, KH 2.5 HD in 2014, ??? in 2015 and so on. KH3 is coming along nicely I"m sure, but Nomura also said back in December or so that they were still deciding on worlds and individual world stories. They only officially started development last year. As much as we would all love for KH3 to come out in 2015, It is highly unlikely that they will be able to do that. What if the KH3 comes out in 2016 and in 2015 they release an HD version of KH3D, with the added storyline of BBSV2??? That would be super cool! And it would give them plenty more time to work on KH3! KH3D already looks great on the 3DS and the character models in it were used in 1.5 and probably some in the coded portion of 2.5. It wouldn't be that difficult to remaster it in HD and then add the other stuff which doesn't even have to be cutscenes, they could be set up like Jiminy's journal with stories or Roxas' diary. Neosmith 4 Posted June 17, 2014 Interesting - the June trailer for KH2.5 actually contains a few bits from the "Mickey in the realm of darkness" scenes from the BBSV2 teaser, so it looks like they decided to not remove that. I wonder if this means they plan on getting back to BBSV2 at some point in the future?
