Firaga 5,947 Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) I haven't done this kind of thread in a while, and the last one I did was about Finding Nemo in the Random section... So lets bring it back, why not? Anyways, basically what I'm going to talk about is why I think a certain world based on a certain Disney property would not work in the Kingdom Hearts universe and why they should not be in Kingdom Hearts III. Now, Wreck It Ralph is an overhyped piece of sh-hahahahahaha!! I can't even bring myself to joke about that. Dammit... Okay, in all seriousness, Wreck It Ralph is a good movie. I haven't seen it in full, but I've heard good things and I get the gist of why people think its so good, and I agree with them. Its a colorful tale about an arcade villain who wants to be a hero, so he travels through the universe that is the games of the arcade he lives in, meeting even more colorful video game characters, both original and ones in real life. Now here's the first problem I have with this: real life video game characters... REAL. LIFE. VIDEO. GAME. CHARACTERS.... in a Kingdom Hearts game. No. No, that's not happening. The companies that own those characters aren't going to play ball, Nomura's not going to play ball, DIsney sure as hell is not going to play ball, its not happening. And as much I admit that seeing Sora interact with guys like Ryu and Sonic The Hedgehog would be a once in a lifetime moment... I have to stop, slap myself in the face *slaps* ow, and realize that its not possible nor would it make any sense. Even if they chucked all the real life guys out the window and stick with the original properties that were established in the movie... that would just seem half assed, now wouldn't it? Believe it or not, these cameos are part of the reason why the movie is so good and if you take that away, there's gonna be the feeling that something is missing. Its like playing through Agrabah without Genie. The other problem I have with this is... well... why the hell would Sora and the gang WANT to visit Wreck It Ralph world in the first place? There needs to be a solid reason, or else its just gonna be another glorified 100 Acre Wood level, or dare I say Disney Town. I mean, in Kingdom Hearts I and II, there was a reason why all the Disney worlds we visited in the main storyline were being visited in the first place: we needed to find Riku and Kairi, we needed to find King Mickey, we needed to lock Keyholes, we needed to open Gates, we needed to stop Maleficant and her Big Bad Posse, we needed to stop the Organization, yadda yadda yadda. Why would Master Xehanort and the True Organization want to interact with a world where the biggest threat is a midget with a candy theme? Even when he transforms into that bug thing, he ain't too much to shake a sitck at. Freaking Clayton is more intimidating than that little shit. My last problem with this is simply the fact that it is a world that is centered around its own fictional universe centered around video games... and... how the hell does that work in the Kingdom Hearts universe. I mean, we've seen Sora go to the Tron word in Kingdom Hearts II because it was tied into the lore as part of the computer database of Radiant Garden. I mean, unless we can find a way to randomly stick in an arcade in one of the worlds, again maybe as the replacement for 100 Acre Wood world we've seen in the past, then its just not going to happen. Entering a world in its purest form, as one of the many planets you see spinning around in the literal "universe" of Kingdom Hearts, and all of a sudden saying that you're in a universe made up of video games doesn't make sense. I know trying to make sense of Kingdom Hearts is a little unnecessary, but dammit, there are limits to how nonsensical things can be before it just gets plain stupid. And here is my beef with WIR and why I think it wouldn't work in KHIII or Kingdom Hearts in general. *sigh* I'm gonna get flak for this one aren't I... *gets into reinforced bunker* Okay, I'm ready. Fire away. Edited June 3, 2014 by Firaga Sensei 2 Reyn and Hargleblargleboo reacted to this

Josuke Higashikata 2,141 Posted June 3, 2014 I agree with everything on this list. Now, what do you think of a Wreck-it-Ralph summon? 3 Hargleblargleboo, DJ369 and Firaga reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted June 3, 2014 I agree with everything on this list. Now, what do you think of a Wreck-it-Ralph summon? That's actually a lot more workable. Though considering the points I made about video games, still probably not gonna make sense.

That's true, it's just that some people are speculating about it, so I wanted to know your opinion. 1 Firaga reacted to this
Aile 273 Posted June 3, 2014 The real video game characters didn't even had much screentime to begin with, they only had small cameo's and very short scenes, they didn't had any major role to play, so they can easily change that. And in my opinion it is a fun to enter the Wreck-it-Ralph world through the Fix-it Felix.Jr arcade game wich you can find in Twilight town, or Traverse town, or maybe even a new town. Sora is a kid after all, so I think he likes to play games and stuff, I think that is a fun idea. Wreck-it-Ralph would, in my opinion, make more sense than all that Star Wars and Marvel piece of shit, seriously, don't get those two francises even NEAR Kingdom Hearts, they don't even have a Disney feel at all. How I see it is just you bitching on a movie and trying to talk sense into us by telling nothing makes sense, yet it actually CAN make sense because they've done something fimiliar like that with the Tron worlds. But I guess that is just me.Oh, and like I said: THE. REAL. LIFE. VIDEO. GAME. CHARACTERS. DON'T. EVEN. HAVE. A. MAJOR. ROLE. IN. THE. FREAKING. MOVIE. 4 Reyn, oblivion/oathkeeper roxas8, Green Sparrow and 1 other reacted to this
twilight_roxas 326 Posted June 3, 2014 The only way it could fit is replacing all the video game characters with Square Enix characters. 1 Firaga reacted to this

Fierce Deity Link 926 Posted June 3, 2014 The Wreck-It Ralph game, however, had none of these real life video game characters. So it could actually work just fine. ot tht I'd really want a WIR world, but still.
Green Sparrow 795 Posted June 4, 2014 I don't know how it would fit well either, but I'm willing to give Kingdom Hearts III the benefit of the doubt. There have been multiple times I doubted they could pull a world off, but then I play the game and amazed at how well it all flows well together. Exiblade7 1,917 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) A toy story world would make more sense than a wreck it Ralph world. A wreck it ralph world would really mess up the Kingdom Hearts series. Power Jusho 1,783 Posted June 4, 2014 I think Wreck-it Ralph can be in by having Maleficent or Pete working with King Candy trying to hack into the Data Worlds, if somehow she gets her hands on it and try to change it but then King Candy wants the Data Worlds for himself. And I think that Cy-Candy would be an awesome boss and using the Keyblade transformation, Sora can transform his Keyblade to gun that looks like it's from Hero's Duty and shoot him down when he's flying around. After defeating Cy-Candy THEN it becomes a mini-game world by having a Hero's Duty-like game or a racing game like Candy Rush. I actually liked the races in BBS and would gladly play it anytime. The racers can the the racers from the movies and maybe Donald, Goofy, Felix, Tomora, and Ralph. And I guess you can technically count the rhythm game in BBS as a shooter too, you gotta follow the beat and when you do it correctly, it shoots ice cream. And after you beat the world, you get a Fix-it Felix or Vanellope summon. Felix can heal you gradually over time or Vanellope can glitch the heartless and freeze them in place or lets you move quickly behind them to attack them. Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted June 4, 2014 Never say never man. You're talking about a crossover game between Final Fantasy and Disney. I think we've passed the realm of implausibility over 10 years ago. Wreck-It-Ralph could still work as a world, with or without the actual videogame characters. I think it could work, it's just up to them and all companies involved to do so. 1 Power Jusho reacted to this
Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted June 4, 2014 Well , I can only see Wreck-It-Ralph (I have not seen the movie but I've heard of it) being in KH III as an "extra world" like , as you said, 100 Acre Wood or Disney Town .

FutureKeybearer 36 Posted August 2, 2014 1. I never found the real life video game characters necessary. They were great to get gamers in the seats, but in the actual film none of them did anything that served the plot. (Except Q-bert and Tapper, but I can see them working around that.) 2. They could be forced into it in a similar way to Space Paranoids 3. My answer to that is if Shibuya from TWEWY gets to be a world, have them have a reason to go to an arcade

VeNate13 144 Posted August 3, 2014 I think besides the real life video game characters this could work. I think it'd work a lot better than a Toy Story world with Sora as a toy. If they take out all the real life video game characters then replace them with Square characters that haven't appeared in Kingdom Hearts it could easily make a sub world. If Tron worlds can work then so can Wreck-it! It could be like the grid, there could be an arcade in a world like traverse town and Sora could get sucked into the game! After all it was destined to happen after Sora made a cameo in the movie! http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130303215921/zeldakingdomhearts/images/thumb/9/9b/Sora(Wreck-It-Ralph).JPG/321px-Sora(Wreck-It-Ralph).JPG
