NO_HEART_XIII 312 Posted June 2, 2014 Everyone knows that when you go to the Pride Lands in KH2, Sora takes on the form of a lion, to maintain the world order & all that jazz. Well, I was thinking: Don't you think he looks a bit small? He looks like a lion cub, he looks about the same size as Simba in the first movie. Sora is 15, so I just found it odd that he looks like a baby lion. This thought just randomly came to me as I was looking at lion Sora & I was bored, so I decided to make a thread. Do you think Sora looks a bit young in his lion form? Idk how old Simba is, but I feel like Sora should be around the same size, maybe a bit smaller, but definitely not a cub. Oli 1,679 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) I think that's the point. They wanted Sora to look like Simba when he was a cub. Edited June 2, 2014 by Japayork
Kingdom Of Me 171 Posted June 2, 2014 Lion Sora rocks!! don't change him! he looks young, but the other option is Teenage Simba which from my memory from 1 and 1/2 looked a bit odd.
Silent 824 Posted June 2, 2014 I never thought of that. Yea he does look small but i wouldn't want them to change it.
Roxas Illini 49 Posted June 2, 2014 They needed a contrast between Sora and Simba. A half-mane version of Sora just wasn't going to cut. And Sora couldn't be much bigger than Donald and Goofy's forms when Sora is a little shorter than Goofy normally.
TheWayToDawn 775 Posted June 2, 2014 My theory is that they wanted you to see the innocence in Sora's heart. When you see a baby child or animal, you automatically think: innocence. Because Sora basically has the innocence of a child in his heart. But it's just a weird theory that just came to me. 2 JTD95 and Aile reacted to this

TheWayToDawn 775 Posted June 2, 2014 You might possibly be right. BTW, i like your theory. Thanks. And I was just guessing. I just see how innocent Sora is (which is one of his best qualities) and figured that's why he's a lion cub. I was just rambling

ZefiroTera47 50 Posted June 2, 2014 Well if you consider that a lion can live until aprox. 20 years old, that means that a lion with 20 years would correspond to an adult person with 70 years old. Therefore, Sora is only 15 years old, that means in lion form he would only have about 1 to 2 years aprox. This means that Nomura actually followed the Zoology parameters on that. Just saying... 3 Exiblade7, TheWayToDawn and Ceriraye reacted to this

Firaga 5,947 Posted June 2, 2014 Donald as a bird and Goofy as a turtle > Sora as a lion.
Aile 273 Posted June 5, 2014 I think he looks extremely cute as a lion cub. If they decided to make him look a bit older, he would look less cute :c

Keyblade Master Xoncron 499 Posted August 1, 2014 You also have to remember that Lions have different livespans than we humans, so that may be how a lion looks when it is fifteen years old in lion years?
Totaltarian67 7 Posted August 1, 2014 It's because of 2 things. 1. It's Disney they like cute things. 2. Sora is still pretty young.
VeNate13 144 Posted August 1, 2014 He looks like a teenager cub so it works!

Forever 3,550 Posted August 2, 2014 I wondered about that too..... I guess they figured making him a cub would fit better with the story. Besides, he was a cute little thing.
