Don't expect too much from Second Son. As far as I know I think it has LESS powers than Infamous 2 did. It's a fine game but Infamous 2 beats it by far.

Yeah the inFAMOUS series is badass. I was gonna rebuy a ps3 and get the collection HMMMGGGHHHH!!

Second sons story goes by pretty fast but all in all its a pretty satisfying game.

Definitely one of the best series on the PS3 and for gaming in general.  I loved Second Son, the only thing that bummed me out a bit was the departure from the series old darker, more comic-book feel.  The original InFAMOUS seriously pinned that down to a T.

Well, I haven't played the Infamous series yet, but I do know that it's one powerhouse franchise, and I plan to get my hands on them soon enough! Second Son in particular looks amazing! :D

Infamous 2 is still my favorite. However I do love Second Son and is the only Infamous game I have a platinum trophy on. Infamous 2 has the better gameplay and powers. But I love the creativity you can have in Second Son. For example I love evading enemies with Neon and scaling up a tall building, absorb video and unleashed the video missiles on the D.U.P.S. Very satisfying stuff there.

The inFAMOUS series has defenetly earned more recognition with Second Son. And inFAMOUS 2 sold a shit ton, and sony already made like 3 ps3 bundles with I2 in it. I adore the series though. inFAMOUS 2 is definetly one of my favorite PS3 games.

I have played all 3 and my favorite is still the 1st one. The 2nd one didn't stick to me like the first one did. and was pretty easy from what I remember. Now Second Son is my least favorite. I didn't like the story, it was very short. Didn't like the gameplay that much with all the multiple powers stuff. The city I thought wasn't very alive or not as much as I thought the 1st ones city was. Half the time it felt like it was just me and a few enemies running around and that's it.

I found the first inFAMOUS extremely dull and colorless. (Makes sense for a place that was left in ruin after an explosion), but the story was pretty good and powers were fun. inFAMOUS 2 was colorful, and worked out well with its story, but I grew bored with it easily. Second Son seems to have mastered the formula, but it's short. It's bound to be a very satisfying experience this time.

The first two Infamous games are cool, but I can't get over the fact that Cole is basically a completely different person between them, physically, audibly and character-wise.

I wouldnt say his personality is completley different. Its just more developed and isnt as boring as infamous 1 (imo). I also thought the voice actor gave cole way more personality than the original voice actor ever did. Also in the second game his animations arent identacle to sly coopers, so thats a thing :n

All of that combined completely distracts me, though. If he had the same VA and his model looked closer to the original (facially, anyway) I'd have a much better time believing that, yes, this is the same person. Even then, because of your ability to make choices in the first game, it made continuity a bit of a mess and I2 kind of had to skirt around a lot of the stuff you did in order to not screw everything up. Whether Cole had the good or the bad ending in the original doesn't really matter in this game other than how many good or bad points carry over.

But that's more getting into the problem of the game itself rather than Cole. Infamous 2 is still a good game, but it had some problems, too.

Eh. I got used to it after a couple of missions. But I see where youre coming from. Im just glad they didn't include that awful design for cole they had in they original trailers.

infamous is a great series. infamous 2 is my favorite. The only thing that brothers me about it is that Second Son is based off of the good ending of infamous 2. The evil ending had so much more potential & the series is called INFAMOUS, which means famous for being bad, so why go off the good ending...? What's the point of making choices, if in the end they don't even matter? The games are still very enjoyable, so play it.

Ive played and platinumed both Infamous 1+2, aswell as played FOB. WHEN i get a PS4, Second Son is one of the titles im buying for it right away, along with KHIII.

Sucker Punch looked at peoples trophies, and the majority of the people unlocked the good ending before the evil ending. Thats also what they did with inFAMOUS 1

That's a shame. I go for all the trophies. I like evil better, so I did it second. Save the best for last, was my thinking process. And just because people unlocked the good ending first, doesn't mean they liked it better. The evil ending suggests that Cole gathers an army of conduits & wages war on the world, can you honestly say that doesn't sound way cooler than what we got with Second Son? SS was a good game, but I was disappointed.

myeh. I thought what they did was for the best. I honestly liked the good ending more anyway. except in the evil ending when that thing happens to someone. that was somewhat heartwrenching, yet insanley cool at the same time.  .......That was me talking in code btw for the sake of spoilers

Ah, well I respect your opinion & at least some people were happy with the outcome. Maybe they'll build the next infamous game off the evil ending of Second Son, to mix things up. I can hope.

The point of inFamous is to make choices from the very beginning and decide whether or not you want to be good or evil. If they made a game entirely about being evil, that would ruin that.

Then again, it would be interesting enough to maybe at least play a DLC mission post-Evil side campaign where you get an extra ending and get to spend some time being a true inFamous villain. A full game only being a villain, though, probably isn't going to happen.

Infamous Second Son is the only PS4 game out right now that actually looks good. I want to buy a PS4 JUST to play that right now.

But when the sequel (Second Son) is solely based off of the good ending, it just makes you feel like the evil ending (which had so much more story potential in my opinion) was pointless, which it was. With Infamous 1, the outcome didn't change much at all depending on your actions, so it didn't really matter what happens in Infamous 2, because it still could have went either way. The endings in InFamous 2 were super different & the sequel was only built off of one of those endings, leaving you to wonder what could have been had they gone with the other. The title is a bit misleading, because at the end of the day, you're the good guy, even if you chose to be the bad guy, because they can only go off one ending & they chose the good one. There is no point in having two endings, if you are just going to make one not canon.
