Critical.  Absolutely critical!  Because there's nothing more satisfying than dying at the hands of Terranort with Terra's Lingering Will a thousand times, pulling your hairs out, eventually defeating him, and then saying: "In your face Xehanort you old pedophile, in your freakin face!!!!"  So yeah, I love a good challenge, so I head for Critical Mode on the get go.  Because I crave the challenge!  I crave for it!!!!

Used to be standard cause of the whole "not too easy, but not too hard" gimmick (for lack of a better word). 

 

But I have to say Critical is definitely it.  I've come to absolutely enjoy great challenges some bosses provide in the games.  I like being on the edge of my seat, giving everything I've got to win.

I usually do proud because I'm too lazy to work hard for critical. I didn't choose "proud" for KH1 from 1.5 ReMIX, because...yeah.

I've gone for Proud since Kingdom Hearts II. This is mainly because it's easier to unlock any secret stuff. Critical is generally off limits. TOO MUCH of a challenge in a game, resulting in multiple deaths over and over, is just irritating for me. Not fun. I want to be able to enjoy the game, not have to repeat myself.

I'm not going to lie just to make myself look better than everyone, like some people probably already have done. I like Standard mode, it seems balanced. If it weren't for the trophies, I doubt I'd ever attempt the hardest difficulty in a KH game, but it wasn't as bad as I thought It'd be. I always pick Standard first & work my way up. I like a fair fight.

Depends, proud mode on DDD makes me want to kick a puppy.

proud mode in KH2 is fun

proud mode in KHFM is stupidly easy

I always go in Standard/Normal on my first playthrough of any game and if I feel like playing through it again I'll bump the difficulty up. I actually played Proud mode on my first playthrough of Birth By Sleep though because I already had past KH experience so it was a breeze the whole way til I got to the end bosses. Have yet to try critical mode yet but I think I'll stick to Standard/Proud as my favorite just so I can enjoy the game.

I like critical mainly because you actually have to plan out your attacks and have some sort of strategy to win, instead of button mashing.
