Looks like there's a bit more support for encyclopaedic, but overall it's pretty even.

 

I realised something else about the two options-- for encyclopedic style to be correct, game titles should be in italics, ie. Kingdom Hearts. Conversely, according to Square Enix's trademark style, game titles are not in italics, ie. Kingdom Hearts.

 

Thus, I think a nice little compromise is to use the encyclopedic style in situations where we can use italics, and to use the trademark style in situations where italics is impossible. This generally means that in article titles, website section titles (forum names, gallery albums, etc), we'll use trademark style (as we couldn't properly imitate the encyclopedic style in those circumstances), where in the body of articles or pages, we'll use encyclopedic style.

Encyclopedic because when I read the styliezed it makes me feel like someone is yelling at me, then i feel bad about myselft, then i go sit on a bridge and think about my life choices, then because of that, i reset my avi, remove all my friends, and delete all my status updates, come back to the site a week or two later, wash rinse and repeat.

Okay so, Sora96 pointed out to me that this isn't correct, actually both should have italics. Square Enix's press releases state the game titles like  Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, which pretty much destroys my whole compromise haha.
