Killua0707 194 Posted May 26, 2014 We all know Xehanort is gathering (or gathered) 13 Seekers of Darkness... soo...is Riku going to become one of them or something in Kingdom Hearts III? Because..(no offence to those Riku fans) I still think he hasn't conquered the darkness in his heart completely.. What do you guys think?
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted May 26, 2014 Jesus, we've had three games of Riku trying to control the darkness inside of him. I think in DDD he accomplished what he was trying to do! 14 SkyEmerald, LeYenrz, rikunobodyxiii and 11 others reacted to this

Because..(no offence to those Riku fans) I still think he hasn't conquered the darkness in his heart completely.. What do you guys think? Looks like you haven't play Dream Drop Distance. Dream Drop Distance show us that Riku had conquered the darkness in his hearts. And besides Young Xehanort said so himself that they originally pick Riku as their 13th member but he became immune to darkness. So no Riku is not the 13th member. 4 PrinceNoctis, HarLea Quinn, littleTSUBAME and 1 other reacted to this

darkerturbo 168 Posted May 26, 2014 Well, in dream drop distance Sora's dream ansem the wise said that riku can go home now, a reference to when riku said he can't go home until ansem the heartless is gone from his heart. Therefore, Riku is 100% darkness free 2 SkyEmerald and way-to-the-dawn-wielder reacted to this
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted May 26, 2014 Xehanort's Heartless also comes out and says Riku is not vessel material due to his control of his darkness in DDD.
HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted May 26, 2014 They stated in 3D specifically that Riku has overcome his darkness and is therefore useless as a vessel. Exactly !! also @ topic - Did you even play DDD? This is one of the main points in the story .Here's more help for you : — This title is the first KH game in a while to feature Sora and Riku as protagonists. Nomura: I heard from many fans that they wanted to play as Sora again soon, and I felt I wanted to answer them. However, the true protagonist in plot for this title isn’t Sora, it’s Riku. The story depicted in this title is of Riku’s growth as he changes stance and makes the darkness he had been locking inside himself up until now into his own power. This is symbolised by Riku being chosen as a Keyblade Master at the end. Ansem the Wise is an old acquaintance of Riku’s, why did he ask him his name in the end? Nomura: That’s what you could call a “wise joke.” (Laughs.) He’s purposefully asking the same thing as he did in KH2 to a Riku who had changed into Ansem’s form. — While at the time Riku lied and said his name was Ansem, this time he replies with a bright ‘Riku’, doesn’t he? Nomura: Yes, because the main part of the plot in this title is Riku’s growth. The point that unlike before he can declare ‘I am me’ is intended to show that growth symbolically. What about when Riku looked upon the Brown Robed Figure and dived into another world, was it assumed he’d join Organization XIII? Nomura: Since they knew he’d wake up soon, it’s reasonable to assume as much, but that wasn’t necessarily why the Organization had guided him. Still, they weren’t ready to completely give up on Riku, they wanted to win him over into the Organization. However, Riku had developed a resistance to darkness and as a result, they gave up. 12 littleTSUBAME, rikunobodyxiii, Nero Kunivas and 9 others reacted to this
Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted May 26, 2014 Well, I think Riku conquered the darkness inside him . So , he does not have any potential of being one of the 13 Darknesses .

Because..(no offence to those Riku fans) I still think he hasn't conquered the darkness in his heart completely.. What do you guys think? Nope, He has conquered darkness in his heart completely, that's why he became a Keyblade Master
VeNate13 144 Posted August 2, 2014 Nope he's a light for sure!
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted August 3, 2014 That's not gonna happen! (To quote Riku) Why would they waste ALL of that Character Development of Riku conquering the Darkness in his Heart and making it his own just to make him a Seeker of Darkness?! It wouldn't make any sense at all and it would be a blatant SLAP in the face of Riku fans and KH fans alike.
Forever 3,550 Posted August 3, 2014 Impossible. Xehanort said himself that Riku cannot be used, because he has become immune to Darkness. That's why he tried to use Sora instead.
liamaru 294 Posted August 3, 2014 nah riku has an imunity to darkness now.
sagman12PC 280 Posted August 3, 2014 As others have said in this thread Riku is no longer a candidate for the XIII darnkesses because he has developed a resistance to it according to Young Xehanort
way-to-the-dawn-wielder 39 Posted August 5, 2014 In DDD, Young Xehanort said that they didn't need him because Riku's immunity to darkness...
SirBuckford 43 Posted August 5, 2014 The only way Riku will/has become one of the 13 vessels is if Xehanort went back in time to where Riku was very vulnerable to darkness and brought him to the present.
KeybladeWielderXIII 11 Posted August 5, 2014 i think it would be lame if that happened, hes overcome it a bunch of times. He is a master now
SkyEmerald 73 Posted August 5, 2014 I think Riku's darkness arc is over. He's finally free from it's influence as mentioned in 3D.
