Killua0707 194 Posted May 23, 2014 I thought about it too but i have no idea why he is doing this. maybe he thought it would make him and his keyblade look one of a kind? (which maybe it does)
Joker 1,560 Posted May 23, 2014 have u ever wondered why ventus uses his keyblade backwards? i've been thinking about that lately I thought about it too but i have no idea why he is doing this. that's the way it was when he first summoned it and so he was forced to learn how to fight with it
WakelessDream 2,281 Posted May 23, 2014 I always just attributed it to Master Xehanort teaching him that backhand grip. I could be totally wrong, but it's a possibility.

Both are very good theories i always thought maybe he wanted to hold it that way to be different or something like that but i guess i am totally wrong
Caity 3,946 Posted May 23, 2014 As Ven's style is fast, I find it much quicker to wield a weapon back handed than the normal way. Maybe that? I tried his method of wielding with a sword I have stored and it's much more comfortable and easier to use it backhanded in my opinion.
TheWayToDawn 775 Posted May 23, 2014 I fight like that sometimes when i have a sword. Cause it feels like I can block and attack easier and quicker. So maybe that's why? *Shrug*
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted May 23, 2014 Because he's Ventus. 'Nuff said. He doesn't need a reason. He's like Vanitas with his unusual fighting pose which later inspires Riku's fighting style, he's just too badass to have a reason. 1 Josuke Higashikata reacted to this
Hazimie 1,595 Posted May 24, 2014 The Keyblade takes form of the wielder's style. It's only natural for Ventus since his style was fighting by wielding the weapon backwards.
Yuya Sakaki 5,212 Posted May 24, 2014 I like how he wields it backwards. It looks cool. Maybe he just likes to do it? Peace!
Kaneki Ken 1,516 Posted May 24, 2014 Ventus holds his keyblade backwards because his style is speed. i know this because 1. Ven's movements rely on agility and speed, and he looks like he is the only one capable of deploying wind attacks. 2. I tested the theory with my wooden sword I picked up years ago, and I felt my speed increase when wielding it backwards.

Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted May 24, 2014 Because he's dumb . Nah , just kidding . The way he summoned his keyblade for the first time was backwards . So , I guess that's how he uses it now .
