Umm there is a 3DS version which means characters will be unlocked normal not by NFC

 

the NFC is most likely trophies in the same vain as Pokemon Rumble U on the e-shop

 

Also,no official confirmation yet or how it's gonna be used

I know that, and I'm getting both. I just don't like the idea of NFC, since I have a really bad feeling it'll be used as a cheap cash-in like Skylanders or Disney Infinity, and I don't want that to be part of Smash honestly.

We still don't know how it's gonna be used,they won't be for unlocking characters cuz the 3DS doesn't have NFC therefore they might be just for things like trophies and they will be optional like Pokemon Rumble U

 

Again,we need official confirmation,cuz the last time someone assumed to be from Nintendo of France said that the 3DS version would be released in August and that turned out to be wrong

i was thinking that maybe they will sell NFC figures (herp derp). but i thing they will use then for unlocking charicters or trophies as you said. i think you could either unlock the charicter normally, or just buy the NFC figure. and maybe there will be some charicters exclusive to NFC.

 

you decide if thats a bad thing or not.

Don't say it does because nothing has confirmed that it'll unlock characters as Sakurai himself said characters will be unlockable like it was before when they revealed Luigi last year during the whole Year of Luigi thing

 

I'm sure it'll be something optional,more likely for the trophies in the gallery mode
