The Other Realm: A Twist on Disney (1x1 with rikunobodyxiii)

Recommended Posts

(This is a 1x1 with rikunobodyxiii, ONLY ME AND RIKUNOBODYXIII ARE ALLOWED TO POST HERE!!!!)

The sky was mist with white fog, the air felt colder than an iceberg, the sea was dead quite. A young man with black hair stood on the upper deck of a pirate ship. The ship was a big black and gold boat that resembled Captain Hook's Jolly Roger in Disney's Peter Pan.

"There she is, mates." the pirate captain said to his crew while looking through a telescope. Up ahead, there was a deserted island that had a vast forest on the land. "The ol' Secret Forest." the captain said with a smile. A man looked at the captain while standing next to him. "Captain Hook, are you sure this is the island that holds the secret treasure of transport?" the man said. The man wore a purple cap and had a white shirt on with blue stripes and green shorts on. The captain nodded, "Ai, mister Smee, this is the land alright. Soon there will be no where we can't go, which means soon we won't have to worry about that blasted Peter Pan." Captain Hook said with a dark smile.

Soon they landed on the island and walked off the ship. Captain Hook looked around the area and took out a map and opened it up. "Okay, according to the map, there should be a hidden underground tunnel somewhere. But where?" Hook said aloud. Smee took out a compass and scanned the area. The compass pointed north of where they stood. "That way captain." Smee said as they began to walk.

Richard T. Hare, or The March Hare, as he was sometimes referred to, could hear the huffing and puffing of card soldiers behind him. Running on all fours, Hare continued his erratic path through the forest. He was at least glad they hadn't brought anything that could sniff him out, which would make his disappearing easier. But it wasn't just him on the line. He had to warn Alice, least the soldiers tripped over her. He had to get to the glade and warn the girl.

Deciding speed was needed more then confusing the enemy, Hare abandoned his crisscross pattern and ran straight for the glade. After about a minute, he was there. He skidded to a stop and looked around in his twitchy way. No sign of Alice.

"Where is that blasted girl?" He muttered to himself.

He turned to run around the glade when his front paw stepped in a trap. A rope closed around it and in the blink of an eye, Hare was pulled up, through dense branches. He hissed, readying himself for a fight, but found only Alice Carrol up in the tree when he came to a stop. She nodded to him as she ate crumpets.

"Are you sure that's appropriate?" Hare asked coldly before biting off the rope that dragged him up into the tree with his deceptively sharp teeth.

Alice, who's mouth was full of crumpets, pointed to a trey with tea on, balanced solidly on two limbs.

"Ah." Hare said, everything completely understandable now.

He repositioned himself and poured himself a cup of tea with two lumps of sugar. He sat quietly stirring his tea while the rest of his body twitched and he continued to look around wildly. All the fidgeting ceased as Hare took a sip of his tea. After a few minutes of listening, both Hare and Alice determined that the Card Soldiers had moved off. In those few minutes, Hare detected a smell he knew well.

"What did the boss want?" He asked.

"New mission." Alice answered. "He says there are some strange happenings in the Enchanted Forest we need to look into."

Hare sighed.

"And nothing else."

Alice shook her head, with an understanding look on her face.

"No."

Hare shook his head and started climbing down the tree. After a moment to dismiss the tea settings, Alice followed him.

The tree of life, some people called it, was the most beautiful tree anyone could have the honor of seeing. It stood tall in the middle of a huge meadow, the meadow of Pixie Hollow. Pixie Hollow was home to a young fairy named Tinker Bell, who had been living here all her life. Throughout the years, she had gone on to many adventures, always finding something new, though her tales have changed from truth to fiction, and now no one could really tell the truth of who she was, except for the best friend she never knew she needed, Peter Pan...

"So tell me Peter, what do you think? Sounds pretty good to me." Tinker said as she was typing on a typewriter a story about herself. Peter laughed, "Yeah, sure, it just would be better if it wasnt about you." Peter said with a smile as he was floating on his back in the air. Tinker Bell and Peter Pan were in the middle of the Enchanted Forest resting. They had come to this forest to find out about some strange happenings, one of which they were told was about a kingdom being reborned out of thin air, and Peter had to check into it. For you see, Peter was once just an ordinary boy who had been taken into a royal family, and then had the village be destroyed by a great evil. He had been hunting down the evil ever since.

Alice slide down the final few feet of the tree to the ground. She wiped her hands on her skirt and turned to see what her partner was doing. Hare was stamping around the ground, occasionally stopping to test a piece of ground with a fore paw, the doing more stomping. Alice sighed and shook her head.

"Making a hole doesn't need good ground." Alice said for what felt like the millionth time.

Hare snorted.

"Better ground, better ride." He countered.

"The White Rabbit never said that." Alice shot back. "The ground has nothing to do with it."

"And you still believe that lying coward?" Hare retorted.

Alice raised an eyebrow.

"'Lying?'" She repeated.

Rolling his eyes, Hare shrugged.

"Okay, but he was still a coward." He said. "And I practically had to beat the secret of Rabbit Holes because he thought the Queen would find out."

"You should have let me or Hatter talk to him." Alice replied with a sigh.

The March Hare snorted again.

"Right, like either of you short eared, hairlesses could do it."

There was a moment of silence as both Alice and Hare remembered their friend who was no longer with them. Hare finally found a piece of ground he was satisfied with and drew a circle in the dirt. As soon as the circle was complete, the interior warped and turned into a deep, black hole. Hare stood up mostly straight and bowed to Alice. She curtsied back and dropped into the hole. Hare counted to five then dropped into the hole after her.

Alice emerged from a hole in the ground in the Enchanted Forest. She immediately moved to the side as she brushed herself off. Hare popped out of the hole a moment later. He dragged a claw through the edge of the hole, causing the magic to dissipate, leaving a broken circle on both end of it.

Peter and Tink heard the noise made from the rabbit hole and went to investigate. When Peter saw a girl and a rabbit, he walked up to them. "So, a magic portal, a girl, and a rabbit. I'm guessing you come from Wonderland?" Peter asked them.

"Hare!" Hare corrected loudly. "I'm not a rabbit."

Alice chuckled.

"Pretty good reasoning." She complemented. "But let me see if I can do better. A boy in tights with..."

She held up a finger and sniffed the air.

"With the slightest trace of pixie dust in the wind." She finished, lowering her finger. "I'm guessing we have the pleasure of meeting Peter Pan and Tinker Bell? I'm Alice Carroll and this is my I'll-tempered friend,"

She gestured to Hare, who glared at Peter,

"Richard T. Hare."

Peter smiled. "So, you've heard of me, I guess I really am that popular. And I know all about you Hare, the White Queen is a personal friend and has told me about you, and a girl named Alice, which I guess is you." Peter said with a smile. Tinker Bell looked at Alice, "So I guess it's my turn here, let me guess, you and the bunny are here to check into strange happenings?" Tinker said.

Hare snorted.

"You probably talked to her more recently then we have." He said. "Me and the girl haven't talked to the White Queen in a while."

"Well, you haven't." Alice put in.

Hare jerked to look at his partner.

"When?" He demanded.

"A week ago, for tea." Alice replied.

"And I wasn't invited?"

"Because you ate all the muffins last time and insulted her hair style. Plus you smell."

"Her hair was ridiculous." Hare objected, but left the comment about his odor alone.

"Yes, but you could have stated that more tactfully then saying 'Oy, why do you have a bee hive on your head? Can I get some honey for my tea?'"

Hare was about to retort to Alice when he heard what Tinker Bell referred to him as. He went totally still, then slowly turned to face the Pixie.

"What did you call me?" He asked, his voice quivering with barely controlled rage.

Alice moved quickly, putting a hand on Hare's shoulder.

"She doesn't know about the 'B-word'." She tried to sooth her long eared friend.

She fished out a piece of toast from inside a satchel she had on her shoulder and handed it to the Hare. He took it and started eating, but continued to glare at Tinker Bell. Alice smiled at Tink.

"We heard there was trouble in the area, and trouble usually equals fun, so here we are." She explained.

Peter started to laugh. "You both are just so funny that it's cute. Anyways, if you want, we could show you around the forest here, we have this entire place mapped out. We know exactly where the first bit of trouble is, the Evil Queen's old castle." Peter said. Tinker took out a map and opened it. "And that would be east of here." Tinker said.

Alice stepped over to Tinker Bell to look at the map. She liked maps. Her father had lots of them in his study. She would point to one and he would make up some fantastical story about it for her enjoyment. He would have loved it here...

"I thought the Evil Queen was out of business." Alice commented as she looked in the direction The Pixie indicated.

Hare gave a short laugh, spraying a few crumbs out.

"Those types always come back." He stated. "The blasted Queen of Hearts came back."

Alice grimaced and nodded.

"Well, work a look then." She said.

She smiled at Peter.

"We'd be honored to have you and your pixie friend as a guide."

Tinker Bell looked at the two of them, "If you are talking about Snow's Evil Queen, then you dont know much. Regina wasnt the first or last Evil Queen, there have been others, just lost in tell. Snow's Evil Queen is out of business, but there is an even worse evil queen, Larene. Larene is the worst person you could think of as a Queen. She, well lets just say that she helped someone who did something terrible." Tinker said remembering Peter's tale of what has happened in his past.

Peter frowned for a second, but then floated in the air and smiled at Alice. "And the pleasure would be all ours. Anything to help a beautiful lass like yourself." Peter said with a smile.

"My point exactly." Hare grunted. "Even if an old evil don't come back, something new takes its place."

He shook his head wearily. There were days he felt to old for all of this. Alice smiled back at the floating Peter.

"Ah, such a gentlemen." She declared. "Your help will keep this adventure exciting."

Hare looked over at Peter and Alice, then rolled his eyes. Humans were such an odd species.

"Well, if we're gonna get blasted by an evil queen, we might as well get cracking." He said.

Suddenly, there was a hand over Hare's mouth as Hare was then picked up. "Not so fast, Pan!" Hook said appearing out of nowhere in front of everyone. "Not now you old cod fish." Peter said. Hook and Peter looked exactly the same just wearing different outfits. Hook made an evil grin. "Aye, I didn't come for you. I came for that pixie dust of yours. I need it to access a secret that determines the fate of the world." Hook said. "Well if you want the dust, here!" Tink said as she threw some at Hook's eyes, causing him to drop Hare. "Run!" Tink exclaimed. Peter looked at Alice, "Come on!".

Alice was startled at first by Hook's sudden appearance, then looked amused. As he was dropped, Hare nipped at Hook's hand and kicked the pirate hard in the chest with both feet, sending Hook flying back.

"Next time, I'll take the whole hand!" Hare said, spitting a bit.

Alice grinned at Hook, waved daintily at him, then ran after Peter and Tink. Hare likewise turned and sped off, his all-fours approach to running allowing him to pass up Alice's two legged approach.

"So, that your brother or something?" Alice called ahead, making polite conversation.

Peter looked at Alice while running. "That is none other than Captain Hook, the worst pain in my neck that there ever was, and we are not related in the sense of what you would naturally think. Hook and I, well we are the same person, just different half of a whole. You see I was practicing this spell one time and accidentally split myself into two different people. I remained the nice and jolly type, basically the good guy, while Hook gained the bad boy part." Peter said.

Hook wiped his eyes and got up from being kicked down. "Dumb lass that fairy is." Hook said as he took the fairy dust from his eyes and jarred it. He then started to make an evil laugh as his appearance changed into that of an adult woman with long black hair and blue eyes and was wearing an outfit similar to the one the Regina had worn at Snow's wedding day. "Fools all of them. Being tricked into thinking I am Hook, please that is just too old. I, Larene, wouldn't have been so absent minded. But it looks like they are headed towards my castle, and that simply won't do." Larene said as a black bird landed on her shoulder. The bird then hopped off and turned into a man, with black hair, black eyes, and was wearing black robes. "So, what are we going to do about that, my queen?" the bird man asked. "I think you know. Now go, Trevor!" Larene said as the man then turned back into a bird and flew off towards the castle.

"Well, that's a new one." Alice admitted. "And that's not something you admit often after spending time in Wonderland."

Hare slowed down so as to not out distance the others. He occasionally stopped, took of his cap and let his ears swivel around.

"We're not being pursued." He said after a few stops. "I guess that double of yours got the wind kicked out of him."

Alice looked back the way they had come, then around where she and Hare had stopped. She knew a thing or two about Hook's reputation and he usually had a crew. Why was he alone?

"Well, at least I was right." She said, giving Peter a smile. "Having you around sure is making things more exciting."

Hare rolled his eyes and put his cap back on.

Peter smiled. "You don't even know the half of it. Life for us is a very lively one." Peter said with a laugh. Tink looked at Peter. "Oh brother, please tell me you are not thinking what I think you are thinking." Tink told Peter. Peter looked over to her. "Ah come on, it's easier than being on foot." Peter said. He then flashed a light where everyone was and teleported them into Larene's castle. "See, we got here without trouble. Just like I said." Peter told Tink.

The castle was huge and had a darkness setting to it. The group arrived right in the middle of the courtyard. Peter looked at the group. "Okay, now the reason why we are here. The strange happening is that there is a rift between space and time. I think Larene is somehow creating a portal to a new land, but I have no clue where. The mission is to find the rift and stop it from spreading any further." Peter said.

It took Alice a moment to adjust after Peter's teleporting them all to the castle. Hare, on the other hand, yelped and jumped, looking around him in astonishment.

"My my." Alice said. "Sure is more elegant then traipsing through rabbit holes everywhere."

"At least they don't make you feel that you're about to say good bye to your last meal." Hare retorted, his voice and body quivering.

Alice chuckled then started fishing around in her bag.

"Let's see...something for rift detection." She muttered to herself.

She then exclaimed triumph as she pulled out a plumbob on a length of string. She let the weight go, while still holding the string. It dangled free for a second, then rose against gravity towards a section of the castle.

"We have a heading!" Alice declared as she stuffed the plumbob back in her bag.

Peter and Tink had no idea what Alice had just used, but they didn't really care as long as it would get them where they needed to go. "Okay, then you lead the way and we'll follow." Peter said looking at Alice.

Ralene appeared in her throne room with a man that couldn't be seen by the way there was a shadow on him. "And you think this plan of yours will get us to the other side? Kye must be taught a lesson for all those years that I had to suffer in that prison." the man said. Ralene nodded her head. "You doubt me too much, Kilousase. Remember I'm the one who freed you from your torment brought on to you by your own cousin. He must be taught that we wont take the blame for him anymore." Ralene said. "Alrighty." Alice said brightly and set off.

There wasn't a door where the plumbob had pointed, so the young adventurer picked up the closest one to the direction of the rift and opened it. That was the problem with some of her items. They told her a direction rather then how to get somewhere.

"Let's hope this castle is straight forward in its design." Alice sighed as she walked into the stone corridor beyond the door.

"And that nobody can alter its lay out on a whim." Hare added pessimistically.

Alice shot Hare a look, then headed further into the castle. With a good sense of direction, Alice weaved through the castle to where the rift should be.

"So, have you met this evil queen before?" She asked Peter, conversationally.

Tink gave a Alice a look. "Please, please don't ask him that. It's too painful a memory." Tink said. Peter then nodded. "No, Tink, it's okay. Alice will need to know eventually. Look Alice, this Evil Queen, she is the same person who made me lose my home and my family. She let two men come into this realm that destroyed my village and destroyed my family. I lost everything I had to this group, and I didn't have much to begin with. You see I was just a poor village boy with no parents and only a sister to call my family. Until one day I met this girl who happened to be the princess of the kingdom and one thing lead to another and she took me and my sister into their family and we became royalty and became happy in life more then we could have dreamed. But then Ralene showed up one day with two men, Kye and Kilousase and that was the day I promised that I would find my family and stop all three of these people. It was also the day I first study magic, and one year later I became Peter Pan after a magic spell, the same one that made Hook as well." Peter said looking sad.

"Oh." Alice said after Peter's explanation. "Sorry."

Hare set his jaw. Sadly, the boy's story wasn't an uncommon one. Many lives were shattered by one kind of evil or another. Hare thought back to the day the card soldiers broke into the tea party and poor Door Mouse...

"Well then, I'd say it's high time she had a bad day herself." He said briskly, forcing his memories back down.

He used those memories to drive him on when he felt like giving up. But he didn't them now.

Alice continued through the castle for a few more corridors, then stopped to pull out the plumbob again. She held it by its string and took a barring. It pointed straight down an off passage with a door at the end, this time the plumbob pulled the string almost horizontally.

"That should be it." Alice said as she put the magic item away. "I guess we should introduce ourselves."

She pulled out a sowing needle from her pack and carried it in her hand as she headed for the door.

Just as Alice was about to open the door, a wolf appeared in front of the door. The wolf growled at the group and went to strike Alice, but Peter jumped in the way to protect Alice and took the slash. Peter was left with a scratch mark on his chest. "Calm down boy!" Peter told the wolf who didn't listen. The wolf howled and a group of wolfs appeared all around the group.

"Whoa!" Alice exclaimed as the first wolf appeared.

She gasped as Peter took the hit for her. She moved in front of him, flourishing the pin she had out. It glistened and lengthened till it was a sword.

"Snicker Snack!" Alice taunted, spinning the Vorpal Blade to force the lead wolf back.

"That was pretty brave of you." She said to Peter, smiling a little to him.

Hare went down on all fours and bared his teeth at the wolves. They were more impressive doing that, he would admit, but that hadn't stopped him before.

"Shall we?" He called out.

"We shall." Alice answered.

Both adventurers moved at the same time. Alice lunged forward, stabbing one of the wolves clean through while Hare leap up and twisted to bring both feet down on another wolf's head.
