Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted May 8, 2014 So the trailer makes it sound like we'll be getting new story, but the Pokemon site doesn't make it sound that way. Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-video-games/pokemon-omega-ruby-and-pokemon-alpha-sapphire/ Make up your minds, which is it? Shana09 5,769 Posted May 8, 2014 I thought my brother was joking about this and I just realized its real I AM SO HAPPY NOW But I find the titles a bit weird to say, I rather have "Alpha Sapphire" and "Omega Ruby" switch places, makes it flow better but oh well im too happy anyways. Sora96 17,256 Posted May 8, 2014 Well, it was only a matter of time. Well they could have been mean and just released a sequel or something like Yellow, Crystal, Emerald or Platinum.

OmegaForte 1,674 Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) HGSS was great, but ironically the replay value was the lowest out of all for me. It had to do with factors such as the slow start, music was bland remaster/remixes (besides Champion+Ho-oh+Hoenn trio, go figure), and didn't feel like doing extra stuff when I'd had done them on DPPt. (BP farming, berry harvests, etc.) So it's confirmed to be simply a remake. Hopefully they still have intact the event islands and not the "we just hand you events like candy" bs. If anything, I stopped on my 3rd run once I got my flawless shiny Ho-oh. (since I used my 2nd run for the trio, such a tedious task.)BW and XY has my most taken time, and XY barley has post-game stuff. It's so annoying losing event-only Pokemon. X & Y only really had the Looker side quests.

A blessing especially for RNG abusers and anyone who wants back ups of their Pokemon. Speaking of which, I still need to find out if the Power Saves AR does infact back up saves besides doing it just to have codes work. Mawile iches to battle in preparation of the region she came from. Which reminds me, I still need to get 2 more Pokemon ready to transfer over+complete my team if wi-fi tournaments happen. Shulk 8,623 Posted May 8, 2014 According to Serebii, it's been confirmed that the Groudon and Kyogre on the boxart are actually new forms: Edit @ 15:38: The Japanese arm of The Pokémon Company sent out an e-mail to all Daisuki Club members which ends up pointing out the differences to Groudon & Kyogre on the box-art, stating that they're showcasing "never before seen Pokémon", the same terminology they used for Black & White Kyurem, as well as Mega Mewtwo Y upon their reveal, indicating that they are more than stylised artwork of the Pokémon. We'll bring more on this as it comes Source: http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml 2 Dio Brando and OmegaForte reacted to this

Good thing Serebii confirmed they will have something new. Still not sure if mega evolutions or back to the forme changes via item. I wonder if Rayquaza will get the same treatment, seeing as it similarly shares the line concept. 1 Shulk reacted to this

Yeah, I noticed that the linings were different, that's one of the first things I noticed when I saw the boxart. Someone on here mentioned the omega/alpha symbols, didn't notice those until then. I get a feeling they'll be Mega Evolutions. It's a new feature, so they'll have to find some way to incorporate it into these games. And yeah, I'd love to see a new Rayquaza form! 1 Dio Brando reacted to this
