TheDarKris 85 Posted May 16, 2014 So I did my final project for my Sociology class on this topic and I wanted to ask you all a question and get your guy's thoughts. So basically the question is: What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a man with self body-image issues?
Exiblade7 1,917 Posted May 17, 2014 I think that the man might not like how his body looks like. He may go to gym to change how he looks.

DragonMaster 1,166 Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) "What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a man with self body-image issues?" When I think of a guy with "self-body" issues, I think of a guy who is overweight and cannot stand it. He believes everyone thinks he looks terribly ugly, because he thinks he looks unattractive. He probably has no hope of anyone ever being attracted to him. Probably hates having his picture taken and looking into mirrors. Interesting topic to discuss. I feel like when ever there's talk about people with body-image issues, it's almost always women. Actually, I don't think I've every personally been involved in or heard a conversation on this topic (I mean in real-life, I've seen it online a couple of times). I picture the same thing pretty much A lot of people don't realize men are pushed to unrealistic body standards too, granted there isn't necessarily a whole culture devoted to making them feel horrible about their bodies like with women, but it still is unacceptable. 2 TheDarKris and DragonMaster reacted to this
TheDarKris 85 Posted May 21, 2014 Those last two post were about what I was looking for in terms of a response, since they are similar in the way that I feel about the topic. BTW: looks like it was a pretty good paper save being short 1 page of the recommended 5 pages ^__^: 1 DragonMaster reacted to this
Weedanort 8,786 Posted May 21, 2014 2 things come to my mind. Either the guy thinks that he needs to work out more (when he's jacked enough) Or the guy's overweight, and thinks that he's gonna go nowhere due to being made fun of because of his weight. Good luck on your final project 1 TheDarKris reacted to this
