Power Jusho 1,783 Posted May 11, 2014 I think Disney/Square Enix will bring the 4 back. Johnny Depp finished Transcendent, Orlando Bloom is almost done with Hobbit, and who knows with Keira Knightly and Geoffrey Rush. Disney/Square are bringing back the cast to dub the extra cutscenes so why not add four more to list to make it complete?
JTD95 1,107 Posted May 11, 2014 No. It would cost way too much money bringing in the actual actors. The ones in the original are fine.

Zoro317 111 Posted May 11, 2014 It's not impossible. Would be a pleasant surprise, that's for sure. I didn't care for the replacement VAs at all.
Green Sparrow 795 Posted May 11, 2014 Most of the people they are bringing back are voice actors or Disney voice actors under contract. The people you're suggesting are premium actors, they're not going to re-dub something that doesn't need it. Depending on their current projects and if they're feeling generous, they MIGHT voice their characters if the world returns for KH3, but the substitute voice actors work perfectly fine.On a separate note, does anyone know about the voice actors in Tron Legacy? I know Jeff Bridges didn't return, but did Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde reprise their respective roles in KH3D?
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted May 11, 2014 As awesome and preferable as that would be, I doubt they will. Unless the actors had a genuine interest to begin with, Square is not going to go through all of that extra effort and money to get the original cast back, even though they do a far superior job of these characters. I mean look at what happened in Days. In the original they were able to get a few voice clips from Christopher Lee since there were only a few scenes that required DiZ to speak. But in the HD version, for some reason they couldn't get Chis Lee to come back, so they had to call in his number one replacement, Corey Burton, to redub all of his scenes. It doesn't have as much weight or tone as Lee's voice did, but it still got the job done. Hopefully they will be able to get Lee to reprise his role as Ansem the Wise in Kingdom Hearts III, if he's even in that game. And if they were featuring Port Royal again in III to adapt the 2nd and 3rd movies, maybe there's a slightly bigger chance of them nabbing the Hollywood cast, but odds of that are tough, as it's been difficult to hold onto Hollywood actors in these games. We're really fortunate that actors like Haley Joel Osmett and Jesse McCartny love their roles so much to keep reprising them. Maybe some day more Hollywood actors will reprise their original roles in the series, but until then we'll have to go with the actors we're already given, which still tend to be official Disney actors most of the time. Though I probably wouldn't want to go to Agraba again unless Genie was finally voiced by Robbin Williams, but again, those are tough odds.
Dave 5,715 Posted May 11, 2014 While it would be cool, it would cost a lot of money to get the original actors. Especially Depp. 1 Zola reacted to this
Sora96 17,256 Posted May 11, 2014 No way that would happen, especially for a HD remaster. They'll just use all the voice recordings they already have.
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted May 11, 2014 As much as I'd prefer Depp over Arnold, that is simply impossible. Depp is one of the most expensive actors ever. There's no way Disney could nab him to do a simple voice role.
xoblivionx13 1,133 Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) It's not a matter of availability (while that can be considered an issue), it's a matter of cost. As awesome as it would be to have these actors/actress voice their characters, it's very unlikely. So I'm going to have to go with a no on that one. Nweintraub 630 Posted May 12, 2014 I would so love that. It would be epic, it would make me like it better than the original Kingdom Hearts 2.
SwanDive 25 Posted May 12, 2014 And spend a majority of the profit that the remake earns? Nope.
Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted May 12, 2014 Why not just use your previous voice recordings ?

No the Tron actors surprisingly did not, though it was stated that Hedlud would reprise his role for DDD on Twitter and Wilde did reprise her role for the Tron evolution video game AND for a tron uprising epsiode, the latter of which aired shortly b4 DDD came out in English, she coulda done the recordings for both within a day or 2 or so
