President Yoshi 313 Posted May 8, 2014 Doesn't make much difference. maybe it will be in eshop? lg and fr? that seems more likely than having a remake imo 1 tlrpttmn reacted to this

Power Jusho 1,783 Posted May 8, 2014 it's going to happen, i'm sure of it. It's going to be called BurstRed and ForestGreen or something on the lines of that.
Cucco 1,907 Posted May 8, 2014 Dude, the only reason Firered & Leafgreen came out was because they wanted to add the full pokedex of pokemon to gen 3. They would have no reason to do this. 1 Jilly Shears reacted to this

Sorual 607 Posted May 8, 2014 To all the people who are saying that there is no sense in making a remake of a remake, I beg to differ. The job of a remake is to refresh the old games and make it a new experience. Just becouse it was done before doesn't mean they can't do it again becouse the "new" experience that fr/lg brought is not new anymore. Why not refresh the experience again? Maybe not for us. Maybe for the people who just got into pokemon recently and missed out on the GBA era. Say someone's first pokemon game is x. They never experienced the region of kanto. I reremake doesent seem like a bad idea to market to those people. Plus I'm sure a lot of us would buy it so yeah. 2 Sora96 and atheist123 reacted to this
OmegaForte 1,674 Posted May 8, 2014 A rename of a remake. Even remaking yellow is a stretch, even though there's barley a diference besides obtaining all starters. What GameFreak should do is remake Stadium or for gods sakes get Genius Sonority to make another one. It's been too many years. 2 Jilly Shears and Hero of Winds reacted to this

Seems like a waste of time.

It's been too many years. Looking at the disaster that was Battle Revolution, I'd rather have HAL Laboratory make another Stadium again. lolAnyway, there's no point for anymore remakes. FRLG only existed because RSE didn't have a lot of Kanto or Johto Pokemon, and the GBA games are the farthest back you can go in terms of connectivity since the way Pokemon data was formatted changed pretty drastically between GSC and RSE. With that said, there's the new Hoenn games, but I really doubt they would do remakes back-to-back. >>
Shulk 8,623 Posted May 8, 2014 I think Red/Blue/Green remakes would be really interesting, although I don't think we need THAT many remakes in just one generation.

Setrex 1,031 Posted May 11, 2014 I'm not really sure they have any real need to remake Red/Blue or FireRed/LeafGreen as you put it. I think they made enough Pokemon from Gen I available in XY to not warrant remaking the games. You get a Snorlax blocking the path, you get a free Lapras, Mewtwo can be caught, the 3 legendaries can be caught and you get a free Kanto starter... and that's even before bringing in the fact that a lot of Gen I Pokemon can be caught in the wild (including Eevee!). Yes it should make sense to remake them for the 20th Anniversary but, I think Game Freak might do something completely different for the 20th Anniversary of Pokemon as a whole. Maariz Kashem 0 Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) I feel like they would make a Kanto based game due to all the show gen 1 pokemon get in x & y, but I think it should be not a fire red/leaf green remake but a whole new adventure together taking place after x & Y in the pokemon time line. It would be a great way to spruce up the Kanto region which is war torn since time heals. Call it pokemon purple version with the mascot being mewtwo, and to add you need 16 badges not 8 so you can go johto from Kanto. The regional dex would have gen 1& 2 pokemon as well as certain gen 4 pokemon such as magmortar evolved from of gen 1 pokemon magmar and honchkrow the evolved from of murkrow and sylveon from gen 6 since it is an eveelution. It would also give megas to the johto starters you could receive in Kanto like the Kanto starters in kalos. Here would be the gym leaders in order (each will have 4 pokemon to make it harder than x & y) : Brock- type rock- pokemon: onix, geodude, kabuto/omanyte, aerodactyl / mega aerodactyl Misty- type water- pokemon: psyduck, staryu, lapras, starmie Lt. Surge- type electric- pokemon: voltorb, magneton, electabuzz, raichu Erika- type grass- pokemon: leafeon, victreebel, Vileplume, tangrowth Janie- type poison- pokemon: arbok, golbat, venomoth, weezing Sabrina- type psychic- pokemon: espeon, mr.mine, xatu, alakazam/ mega alakazam (it would make sense to have some johto pokemon due to saffron city being the town that connects to johto) Blaine- type fire- pokemon: magmar, rapidash, ninetails, magmortar Blue- various types- pokemon: exeggutor, arcanine, gyarados, rhyperior Whitney (connected from saffron city)- type normal- pokemon: blissey, ursaring, girafarig, miltank Bugsy- type bug- pokemon: shuckle, yanmega, pinsir, heracross/ mega heracross Falkner- type flying- pokemon: pidgeot, noctowl, farfetch'd/ mega farfetch'd, gliscor Morty- type ghost- pokemon: haunter, mismagius, misdreavis, gengar/ mega gengar Chuck- type fighting- pokemon: poliwrath, primeape, hitmontop, machamp Jasmine- type steel- pokemon: scizor/ mega scizor, magnezone, skarmory, steelix Lorelei (since pryce retired)- type ice- pokemon: cloyster, dewgong, jynx/ mega jynx, mamoswine Lyra (female protagonist)- type ground- pokemon: golem, dugtrio, donphan/ mega donphan, quagsire Elite 4 Clair-type dragon- pokemon:aerodactyl, gyarados, ampharos/ mega ampharos, dragonite, kingdra Will- type fairy (to further introduce the new type)- pokemon: clefable, granbull, azumaril, sylveon, togekiss Koga- type poison- pokemon: nidoking, tentacruel, muk, ariados, crobat Karen- type dark- pokemon: umbreon, weavile, honchkrow, houndoom, tyranitar/ mega tyranitar Champion Ethan (from heartgold/ soulsilver since he beat champion Lance and red) Pokemon: electivire, meganium, typhlosion, feraligatr, donphan, dragonite/ mega dragonite The bad guys would be team splicer mostly run by scientists whose goal is to successfully clone Pokemon from dead Pokemon they play on the emotions of people who lost their Pokemon to death they are radical scientist not not associated with the rest of the scientific community in the Pokemon world and therefore need to do various schemes to fund thier research they are also trying to make other Pokemon that normally can't mega evolve mega evolve. These scientists were there on Cinnabar Island when experimenting with mew. There grunts for being people who are brainwashed by them believing that what they're doing is possible and ethical research. In fact each grunt has a dear loved pokemon lost to death. And in the battle frontier silver could replace palmer in the battle tower. Lance & Bruno tried to kick Will out of the elite 4 but with his new fairy type he beat both of tthem. after Caitlin left the battle frontier to be the unova elite 4 the duo broke up and someone have to fill it in so Bruno and Lance filled it upthe battle castle collapsed inorder to create the battle Coliseumso that's why in black and white, black and white 2, and X & Y there was no battle frontier Edited July 28, 2014 by Maariz Kashem
atheist123 583 Posted July 28, 2014 I think a Yellow remake would be cool. Pokémon Ash Gray is one of my favourite modded games, so I would want to see how Game Freak tackles the concept of translating the anime into a game in the 21st Century. They could make the game follow the plot of the first few series and movies, as well as Orange Islands.
