I know it's censored and all, but at least the uncut version is on Toonami. Only thing I watch on X D is Tron: Uprising. Shikamaru vs Hidan was literally the most painful thing I've ever had to watch, just because of how much they screwed it up. Anyway, now that I understand the question at hand with the title: My best guess is that Disney either saw all of the complaints and decided to stop airing Shippuden, or maybe decided the show was too adult-natured for their station. Neon Alley obtained rights, then this year, Toonami obtained rights.
