Velvet Scarlatina 607 Posted May 5, 2014 Proud mode in the first Kingdom Hearts game is ridiculously hard, at least from my experience. I'm stuck at level 36 at Neverland, and because I don't have second chance or anything like that, I'll die in two or three hits from regular enemies. I don't really feel like grinding, either. If I have to, I guess I will, but I need some tips to get through this mode. 1 Randalen reacted to this
Geotrix 862 Posted May 5, 2014 Just try to master the dodge roll I guess. I can't really help here as my strategy is to level up 5-10 levels before moving on to the next world and I usually didn't have any problems after that.
Grotesquery 603 Posted May 5, 2014 Did you choose the sword? Heard that makes it even harder. 1 Caity reacted to this
kh-king 48 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) I had trouble around Hollow Bastion so good luck. And if you picked the shield then if I remember correctly you should have already gotten both second chance and leaf bracer. If not then my suggestions is to go to a different world and grind for a while. I had to do that to beat the game. I went to Olympus and just kept doing the Hades tournament from the last 10 battles. And if you dont have the last 10 battles done then I would just keep playing the Hades cup from the last place you left off on it. Kaweebo 3,617 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) Rare Truffle, Captain Hook's pirate ship. Try to knock them around really high. You'll level in no time. Well, it'll take some time. But they get you a lot of EXP, from what I remember. Edited May 5, 2014 by Kaweebo

MarkXIIII 106 Posted May 5, 2014 I played all KH games and only in normal modes. But I unlocked all secret endings which takes forever with the journal completions. (Except for BbS, didn't even botehr getting all the commands) Í also re-played the handheld games in beginner cuz it's faster. BUT I never even tried critical as I got stuck in traverse town on hard mode in KH1 (shame on me!) and I really like the feel of cuttign through enemies like butter if you are on LV100 ón normal or beginner Fool. Jump and swing. Work on spacing and timing. How come you'Re so infatuated by Xemnas? I think he's cool but seriously, this signature freaks me out. I made the signature because a certain user made a thread telling everyone on the site to stop saying Hey Guys because it's sexist, even though her(?) reasoning was extremely sexist. And my user name has Xemnas, so Xemnas is kind of my thing.

I rememebr from academic writing class that "guys" is like "theirs" in singular use a paradox of neutral entities ;P ;P So nothign to be upset about. Calling everyone fool makes it better, though, hahaha (I know it's not personal, you had it in you sig sometime) But Xemnas still freaks me out coming up liek this!! MarkXIIII 106 Posted May 6, 2014 WHOA WHOA WHOA thats just me man! for you, i recommend level grinding since its the easiest (also mind numbing, oh well) You do realize that I, aka someone who got stuck even before that armor in Traverse town on hard mode, have no idea where to level grind... Anyway, I don't see the point in doing repetitive grinding over and over again when I can just play on normal. If you complete everything on normal you get to lv 100 too and see the secret ending as well.

FutureKeybearer 36 Posted July 30, 2014 It's Proud mode. You have to be really skilled at the game in order to beat it. Or get really lucky. Just keep trying at it
Keyblader_95 1,410 Posted July 30, 2014 As a Proud/Critical mode player, the biggest advice I can give you is to search for your own style. It's up to you whether to Dodge or Guard, whether to increase MP or AP and so on. Try different combinations and see what style suits you better, after that you have to master your gameplay methods. Of course, it's also necessary to study and analyze the situation, in and outside the battles 1 BlueKeyblade reacted to this

VeNate13 144 Posted July 31, 2014 Have you tried to magic spam them! Bombarding them with magic takes care of them pretty quickly! Or you can freeze them with stop so they can't do you any harm!
